Han hadde bare ett problem. Han ville ha den til huset sitt i Spania for \u00e5 slippe \u00e5 betale norske avgifter, som ville doblet prisen p\u00e5 bilen. Jeg sa til ham at <em>&laquo;Det er bare \u00e5 si ifra, s\u00e5 kj\u00f8rer jeg den ned for deg.&raquo;<\/em><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nS\u00e5 tenkte jeg ikke mer over det f\u00f8r telefonen ringte og Knut sa at <em>\u201cN\u00e5 er den kommet!\u201d<\/em>. Hva? Jeg hadde jo helt glemt at jeg hadde tilbudt meg \u00e5 kj\u00f8re bilen ned til S\u00f8r-Spania for ham! Vel, vel. Man m\u00e5 st\u00e5 ved det man har sagt.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBilen var helt ny og ikke innkj\u00f8rt, s\u00e5 jeg m\u00e5tte love \u00e5 ikke kj\u00f8re fort med den. Vi fryktet at vi kunne havne p\u00e5 steder uten blyfri bensin som bilen ville ha. Vi kunne ikke \u201cGoogle\u201d, men fikk likevel gjort noen unders\u00f8kelser og forsto at dette skulle g\u00e5 bra. Til og med i Spania.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSent en kveld i begynnelsen av juni 1991 hentet jeg kona etter kveldsvakten hennes p\u00e5 gamlehjemmet, s\u00e5 dro vi s\u00f8rover gjennom Sverige, Danmark og Tyskland.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVi kj\u00f8rte i ett strekk og byttet p\u00e5 \u00e5 kj\u00f8re etter 1-2 timer. Motorveiene i Tyskland og s\u00f8rover var fantastiske med fri fart. Vi n\u00f8t dette og uten sm\u00e5 barn bak i bilen. Endelig hadde vi fri og kunne ha en liten ferie sammen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDa vi kom et godt stykke s\u00f8r i Andalusia, sviktet fjernlyset. Da valgte vi \u00e5 sove 2-3 timer i bilen til det lysnet, og vi kunne kj\u00f8re videre. Samme eier, lav kj\u00f8relengde og like flott som da den dro fra Norge i 1991. Men tilbake til sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5let som vi stilte innledningsvis. Motor Trend k\u00e5ret Camaro Z28 til <em>Motor Trend Car of the Year 1982<\/em>. Den fikk god omtale for kj\u00f8reegenskapene. En muskelbil som ikke bare var bygget for \u00e5 kj\u00f8re rett frem. Samtidig uttrykte bilpressen skuffelse over at den 4-sylindrede standardmotoren manglet muskler. Man kunne oppgradere til V6, skj\u00f8nt majoriteten valgte 5.0 V8. TPI (Tuned Port Fuel Injection) ga raskere og kraftigere respons enn tidligere. N\u00e5 var Camaro for alvor tilbake som muskelbil. 5.0 V8 TPI var god for 215 hk. Fra 1987 ble V8-valget utvidet med GM\u2019s 5.7 V8 TPI-motor med 225-250 hk (Corvette-motor). Biler med 5-trinns manuell Borg-Warner kasser kunne dra nytte av flere hestekrefter, mens GM\u2019s Turbo Hydramatic TH700-R4 4-trinns automatkasser ble regnet som et trygt og godt valg.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSjarmen ved en bil som dette, er at den har V8-motor. I tillegg til &#8211; eller f\u00f8r TPI systemet kom &#8211; kunne man f\u00e5 GM&#8217;s 5.0 liter V8 i flere varianter. Frem til 1988 kunne man velge 5.0-motoren med 4-ports forgasser (145-155 hk). Mellom 1983 og 1986 fantes en High Output variant med blant annet h\u00f8yere kompresjon som kunne gi opp til 190 hk. For tidlige \u00e5rsmodeller kunne man velge 5.0 litersmotoren med Crossfire injection, &#8211; et system fra GM som kombinerte EFI (elektronisk injection) med forgasserteknikk (165-175 hk).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">So what is not to like?<\/h3>\n<p>Her er noen bilder av tilsvarende modell.
