Er det p\u00e5 tide \u00e5 erkl\u00e6re bilene som normale personbiler?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Da jeg tok Renault 5 E-Tech ut p\u00e5 veien, la jeg merke til at den var h\u00f8ybygd som en liten crossover SUV, noe jeg publiserte i et forum. En av leserne kommenterte at jeg tok feil. Han skrev at Renault 5 er en \u201chatchback\u201d i B-klassen &#8211; alts\u00e5 en vanlig kombicoup\u00e9. Det er akkurat hva Renault selv hevder i sitt pressemateriale.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nAmpR Small-plattformen, som Renault 5 er basert p\u00e5, f\u00f8yer seg i rekken av andre h\u00f8ybygde elektriske plattformer hvor batteripakken ligger flatt mellom akslingene. Batterimodulene og elementene for termisk styring ligger i en metallkasse med tverrbjelker som inng\u00e5r i  bilens chassis. \u00e5 studere chassis&#8217;et til Volvo EX30 p\u00e5 Oslo Motor Show. Selve batteriene m\u00e5ler 110 mm i h\u00f8yden, mens den totale h\u00f8yden p\u00e5 batterikassa trolig er noe h\u00f8yere. Geely\u2019s plattform SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) benyttes blant annet av Volvo og Zeekr. Jeg har ikke sett Renault Nissan&#8217;s AmpR-plattform med egne \u00f8yne, men p\u00e5 bilder ser den ut til \u00e5 ha flere fellestrekk med Geely&#8217;s SEA-plattform. Volvo EX30 er en st\u00f8rre bil enn Renault 5, men de ytre m\u00e5lene p\u00e5 de to bilene har samme proporsjoner. Volvo EX30 ble lansert som en liten SUV og kan ogs\u00e5 leveres med 4-hjulstrekk. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Felles plattformer<\/h3>\n<p>De fleste nye elektriske bilmodellene bygges n\u00e5 p\u00e5 korporative plattformer hvor batteripakken ligger mellom akslingene. Det gir flere fordeler.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Batterikassen kan inkorporeres i bilens chassis.<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<li>En modul\u00e6r l\u00f8sning som kan tilpasses flere bilklasser.<\/li>\n<li>Plass til mange battericeller.<\/li>\n<li>Ulike batteri-konfigurasjoner kan bruke samme plattform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ulempen er at batteripakkene bygger mellom 140 og 150 mm i h\u00f8yden, noe som gj\u00f8r at bilene blir h\u00f8yere enn tilsvarende termiske biler. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Design-knepene som gj\u00f8r bilene lavere<\/h3>\n<p>Siden stadig flere elektriske biler betraktes som crossover SUV, er det kanskje ikke urimelig at begrepene endres. Crossover\u2019e med forh\u00f8yet bakkeklaring og 4-hjulstrekk kan med rette erkl\u00e6re seg som SUV, men burde crossover\u2019e med personbilpreg kunne erkl\u00e6res som  sedan, coup\u00e9, kombicoup\u00e9 og stasjonsvogn?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nRenault 5 E-Tech er et eksempel p\u00e5 hvordan fremtidens biler kan komme til \u00e5 se ut. Selv om karosseriet er utformet i retrostil, finner man flere triks som skjuler at bilene sitter p\u00e5 en h\u00f8yere plattform enn termiske biler. Disse modellene produseres ogs\u00e5 med termiske motorer, og har ingen dedikert EV plattform. I stedet er batteripakkene utformet for \u00e5 fylle plassen under setene, delvis under bagasjerommet og i midtkonsollet &#8211; en l\u00f8sning som egner seg for mindre batterier, hybride drivverk og ved konvertering fra termiske motorer til elektrisk drift.
