(c) Foto: Terje Bj\u00f8rnstad<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Fikk oppsving i et regulert marked<\/h3>\n<p>Etter krigen ble bilsalget regulert for \u00e5 begrense valutaunderskuddet. Kj\u00f8petillatelser ble kun gitt til drosjesj\u00e5f\u00f8rer, doktorer, postbud og andre som utf\u00f8rte samfunnsnyttige oppgaver. Norge og Sovjet fikk i stand en gjensidig handelsavtale hvor Norge prim\u00e6rt leverte sild og t\u00f8rrfisk mot korn, metaller og etter hvert ogs\u00e5 biler. Dermed kunne biler fra \u00f8stblokken importeres uten \u00e5 p\u00e5virke valutabalansen. Det \u00e5pnet muligheter for at ogs\u00e5 vanlige mennesker kunne f\u00e5 tillatelse til \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe ny bil &#8211; s\u00e5 lenge den kom fra et \u00f8stblokk-land.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMoskvitch-bilene ble ikke popul\u00e6re fordi de var <em>best<\/em>, men fordi de var blant de beste som folk kunne skaffe seg p\u00e5 1950-tallet. I feriene dro man p\u00e5 campingturer med teltpakning p\u00e5 taket. Vi dro ofte sammen med andre familier i hver v\u00e5r bil p\u00e5 jakt etter en fin rasteplass eller campingplass langs veien. Jeg husker at Moskvitchen ofte dro p\u00e5 turer sammen med en olivenfarget 1953 Volkswagen 1200 med delt bakvindu. Den kj\u00f8rte ogs\u00e5 sammen med en svart 1938 Plymouth eller en hvit 1955 Opel Olympia Rekord. I dette selskapet fremsto Moskvitchen som en helt allright bil.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Moskvitch Pilot 407 var i produksjon mellom 1958 og 1963. Med ny, sterkere motor, ble den regnet som et stort fremskritt sammenlignet med tidligere modeller. Men de f\u00f8rste bilene fikk samme front og 3-trinns girkasse som forgjengeren, Moskvitch 402. Det var en s\u00e5nn bil vi hadde. Senere ble bilene utstyrt med ny 4-trinns girkasse og etter hvert en mer moderne grill. 407-modellen kunne ogs\u00e5 leveres som stasjonsvogn (423N).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMotorene var 1360 cc med 4-trinns girkasse (fra modell\u00e5r 1960). 45 hk kunne gi en toppfart p\u00e5 115 km\/t gitt at man hadde en lang rett strekning foran seg. Innvendig var det god plass til 4 personer og et ganske rommelig bagasjerom. Et par finesser med bilene var en rullegardin foran radiatoren som kunne betjenes fra f\u00f8rerplassen under kalde forhold. Hvis man trengte \u00e5 lufte ut sigarettr\u00f8yk, kunne man \u00e5pne opp et friskluftinntak i form av en luke. Jeg tipper at fj\u00e6ringen var ganske stiv for  \u00e5 takle d\u00e5rlige veier. Det innvendige lydniv\u00e5et var ikke spesielt h\u00f8yt. I mine \u00f8rer l\u00e5t det som en form for uling &#8211; av og til som en klukkende fjellbekk. Jeg husker ogs\u00e5 at bilen hadde et spesielt \u201chood ornament\u201d av et stykke r\u00f8dfarget plexiglass som skinte r\u00f8dt n\u00e5r sollyset falt p\u00e5 det. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Da bilsalget ble fristilt<\/h3>\n<p>Moskvitch forsvant ikke fra salgstoppen etter at bilsalget ble fristilt i 1960. B\u00e5de i 1960 og i 1961 l\u00e5 den p\u00e5 topp ti listen over solgte bilmodeller. If\u00f8lge en annonse fra 1960 kostet Moskvitch da 13.500 kroner. F\u00f8rst og fremst til og fra jobben til faren min, men ogs\u00e5 lange ferieturer. Jeg kan ikke huske at det var noen problemer med den. Men \u00e9n ettermiddag kom bilen hjem hengende bak p\u00e5 en redningsbil fra Falken. Det som hadde skjedd, fikk det til \u00e5 g\u00e5 kaldt nedover ryggen p\u00e5 meg. Da faren min skulle man\u00f8vrere bilen ut av en lukeparkering, hadde rattstammen r\u00f8ket tvert av. Dagen f\u00f8r hadde hele familien v\u00e6rt p\u00e5 s\u00f8ndagstur til Kongsberg, og hva kunne ha skjedd i svingene nedover hvis rattstammen hadde r\u00f8ket da?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg har aldri h\u00f8rt om noen som har knekt en rattstamme bare ved \u00e5 vri p\u00e5 rattet. Riktignok var faren min sterk som en bj\u00f8rn, men vi tenkte vel at det ogs\u00e5 kunne v\u00e6re en annen \u00e5rsak. Kanskje en produksjonsfeil eller kvalitetsbrist?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nHvordan fikser man brudd i rattstammen? Faren min fikk tak i en kollisjonsskadet Moskvitch 1961-modell hvor han flyttet styringsmekanismen over p\u00e5 sin egen bil. Jeg tipper at han flyttet over noen andre deler ogs\u00e5, men ikke girkassa. I s\u00e5 fall kunne han ha byttet ut sin 3-trinns kasse med en nyere med 4-trinn.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nEtter episoden med styringen begynte faren min \u00e5 se etter en ny bil. Jeg vet ikke om han hadde mistet tilliten til Moskvitch. Han nevnte ingen ting om det. If\u00f8lge ham selv \u00f8nsket han seg en bil med 4 gir.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMen det ble ingen ny Moskvitch.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Se ogs\u00e5<\/h3>\n<p><figure
