Ingen tvil om det. Den b\u00e6rer formspr\u00e5ket til b\u00e5de nye Golf, Audi A3 Sportsback, &#8211; og ikke minst den faceliftede Seat Leon. Lettmetallsfelter, t\u00e5kelys, skinnratt og midtarmlene bidrar til \u00e5 styrke familielikheten. Men det vakre utseende kan ikke skjule det triste interi\u00f8ret i basisversjonen. Mye, &#8211; og veldig hard plast. Den eneste positive f\u00f8lelsen man f\u00e5r n\u00e5r man setter seg inn i bilen for f\u00f8rste gang, er den gode plassf\u00f8lelsen. Jeg fikk for \u00f8vrig ogs\u00e5 inntrykk av et kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y som t\u00e5ler \u00e5 bli brukt i \u00e5revis uten silkehansker og dress. Denne bilen minner mer om Fabia. En stor Fabia. Jeg m\u00e5tte derfor sjekke p\u00e5 Internett for \u00e5 vite at Skoda Rapid er skrudd sammen basert p\u00e5 forstillingen fra Fabia og bakakslingen fra Roomster. Det er ingen d\u00e5rlig bil \u00e5 kj\u00f8re, men rekker p\u00e5 ingen m\u00e5te opp til Golfen vi testet for et par uker siden. Den ble brukt mye, med og uten last. Med nedsl\u00e5tte bakseter kan man virkelig laste opp mye, men med full last p\u00e5virkes kj\u00f8reegenskapene noe. Det forsterker inntrykket mitt av en bil som rommer ganske mye, men kj\u00f8rer som en bil i det s\u00e5kalte B-segmentet. Likevel er det en bil som dekker dagligdagse transportbehov godt. Det eneste jeg ikke likte, var plasseringen av clutchpedalen. Den stod for langt til h\u00f8yre, slik at jeg fikk f\u00f8lelsen av sitte p\u00e5 skr\u00e5 n\u00e5r jeg clutchet. Jeg s\u00e5 at pedalgummien var kraftig slitt p\u00e5 ene siden, til tross for at bilen ikke hadde g\u00e5tt mer enn vel 17 000 km som leiebil. Et tegn p\u00e5 at flere enn meg opplever en uheldig pedalplassering.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Motoren p\u00e5 105 hestekrefter fungerer godt med denne bilen. H\u00f8ydejusteringen skjer i setets bakkant, slik at man f\u00e5r l\u00e5rst\u00f8tte kun n\u00e5r setet er i laveste posisjon. Men i laveste posisjon syntes jeg at jeg satt for lavt (jeg er 1,88 h\u00f8y). Derfor m\u00e5tte jeg s\u00f8ke et kompromis. Jeg mistenker at Skoda har valgt \u00e5 benytte standard Fabia-seter og at disse ikke passer til denne bilen. Hadde setene v\u00e6rt plassert et par cm h\u00f8yere, ville de passet meg mye bedre.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En annen svakhet ved komforten er det relativt h\u00f8ye st\u00f8yniv\u00e5et, spesielt fra TDI-motoren under bykj\u00f8ring. Du merker det godt n\u00e5r du veksler mellom \u00e5 kj\u00f8re flere biler. Men siden motoren arbeider godt p\u00e5 lave turtall, f\u00f8les ikke lyden irriterende. St\u00f8yniv\u00e5et virker for \u00f8vrig ikke like p\u00e5trengende i stabile motorveihastigheter.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSkinnratt og midtarmlene teller positivt. Golfens tall er hhv. 380 liter og 1270 liter. Forskjellene merkes godt. I Spaceback&#8217;en er bagasjerommet st\u00f8rre og dypere. Innvendig f\u00f8les ogs\u00e5 plassen som rommelig, selv om jeg tror det kan forklares med at man sitter i litt sm\u00e5 og lave seter. Den har nesten eksakt samme sikkerhetsniv\u00e5 som Octavia i NCAP. Det som trekker ned, er at man ikke kan bestille avansert sikkerhetsutstyr som blindsonevarsler, innsovingsalarm, feltskiftevarsler og avstandsholder, for \u00e5 nevne noe. Dessuten er ikke den aktive sikkerheten like god som for eksempel Golf. Lav innkj\u00f8pspris og forventet god innbytteverdi bidrar ogs\u00e5 til et hyggelig bilregnskap. N\u00e5r det gjelder innkj\u00f8pspris ligger Rapid Spaceback omtrent 60 000 under tilsvarende utstyrt Golf. Golf tilh\u00f8rer en halv klasse opp i forhold til Rapid. Dessuten er kvalitetsf\u00f8lelsen bedre i Golf, og innbytteprisen bedre. Det virker som Rapid er konstruert for \u00e5 fylle ettersp\u00f8rselen etter billige biler i \u00d8st-Europa og land i den n\u00e6re \u00f8sten. Vi har sett det samme med andre, typiske billigbiler som for eksempel Dacia og koreanske billigmerker: Det norske avgiftssystemet gj\u00f8r at forskjellen mellom dyre og billige biler utjevnes. Jeg tror at innkj\u00f8psprisen p\u00e5 Skoda Rapid er for h\u00f8y til at bilen kan lykkes i Norge.
