N\u00e5 skal det ikke skjules at Renault 4, sammen med Citro\u00ebn 2 CV, tiltrakk seg eiere p\u00e5 den politiske venstresiden, &#8211; gjerne med langt h\u00e5r og skjegg og flagrende gevanter. I Frankrike ble disse bilene ogs\u00e5 forbundet med b\u00f8nder, &#8211; uflidde b\u00f8nder som kj\u00f8rte bilene helt ut p\u00e5 jordene eller inn i vinmarkene.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u00c5rsaken til at jeg nevner dette, er \u00e5 forst\u00e5 hva som egentlig var vitsen med Renault 6. Den er som en litt mer tekkelig Renault 4. Kanskje hensikten var \u00e5 tiltrekke seg mer urbane mennesker, borgerskapet, &#8211; og kanskje kvinnene. Innvendig fikk modellen mer polstring, litt bedre lydisolasjon og vinduer som kunne \u00e5pnes med sveiv.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Men jeg skj\u00f8nner fortsatt ikke vitsen med Renault 6<\/h3>\n<p>Den er nemlig basert p\u00e5 Renault 4. I basisversjon har Renault 6 samme motor, en 850 ccm med l\u00f8se sylinderforinger som yter 34 HK og girkassa montert foran med paraply-giroverf\u00f8ring. P\u00e5kostede versjoner fikk 1100 motorer med 46 HK. Understellet er det samme som Renault 4, men ved \u00e5 \u00f8ke overhenget bak, fikk man et st\u00f8rre bagasjerom. Modellen fikk ogs\u00e5 skivebremser foran. Det er utrolig hvor mye bil Renault greidde \u00e5 lage innenfor 386 cm lengde.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">1971 eller nyere<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg kommer av og til over fine eksemplarer i Frankrike. En av dem, er avbildet her. Etter lydbildet \u00e5 d\u00f8mme, tror jeg den har en 1100 ccm, men er ikke helt sikker. Bilen er mellom 1970-1975. Etter at bilen kom i produksjon i 1968, fikk den en liten facelift i 1970 med et ekstra luftinntak under grillen. I 1976 ble den faceliftet med en ny, svart plastikkgrill.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg kunne jo for s\u00e5 vidt si at verden aldri hadde noe behov for Renault 6. Bilen fikk heller aldri samme suksess som sine br\u00f8dre, Renault 4 og Renault 16. Problemet her hjemme var at modellen aldri ble betraktet som cool. Blindernstudentene byttet aldri ut sine Renault 4 med Renault 6.
