Auris Hybrid g\u00e5r helt utmerket i normal kj\u00f8remodus ogs\u00e5, men skiller seg ut p\u00e5 enkelte punkter. Det handler om nyanser man ser etter en stund bak rattet.<\/p>\n<p>Jeg har l\u00e5nt stasjonsutgaven Touring Sports for et par transportform\u00e5l. Den har samme akselavstand som kombi-kupeen, og oppf\u00f8rer seg likedant p\u00e5 veien. Med en lengde p\u00e5 n\u00e6r 4,60 er den like lang som Avensis Mk1, og uten tvil en fullgod familiebil. Jeg liker faceliften fra i fjor h\u00f8st. Til sammen gir de 136 HK og et dreiemoment p\u00e5 hele 300 Nm ved 4000 omdreininger. Bensinmotorens dreiemoment er 143 Nm. Kreftene overf\u00f8res til hjulene via Toyotas trinnl\u00f8se CVT. Samme drivverk som 3. generasjon Prius hadde.<\/p>\n<p>Etter \u00e5 trykket inn startknappen, ble el-motoren satt i beredskap. Deretter tok det bare noen sekunder f\u00f8r ogs\u00e5 bensinmotoren ble fyrt opp. Nesten tomme batterier, alts\u00e5. Jeg liker motorduren. Fra innsiden h\u00f8res den litt r\u00e5 ut, som en st\u00f8rre motor enn 1,8 literen. Hver gang jeg kj\u00f8rer Auris Hybrid forundrer jeg meg ogs\u00e5 over CVT sin m\u00e5te \u00e5 jobbe p\u00e5. N\u00e5r du gir gass, fyker turtallet i v\u00e6ret. Det gir to effekter. Det f\u00f8rste er lydbildet. Det l\u00e5ter akkurat som en amerikansk litt motorsvak kompakt\/mellomklassebil med konvensjonelt automatgir. Det andre er f\u00f8lelsen av at drivverket ikke er direkte koblet til hjulene, siden turtallet ikke samsvarer med kraften som blir levert mot veien.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e5r jeg kj\u00f8rer Auris Hybrid f\u00e5r jeg straks assosiasjoner til tidligere amerikanske leiebilfavoritter. Jeg tenker at Toyotas hybrid-drivverk ble laget for \u00e5 gi amerikanske kunder assosiasjoner til den type biler de var vant med. Det kan v\u00e6re grunnen til at Prius har blitt en kjempesuksess i USA. Siden 2000 er det solgt mer enn 1,6 millioner Prius&#8217;er i USA. Annenhver hybridbil solgt i USA i dag er en Prius.<\/p>\n<p>Den l\u00f8srevne forbindelsen mellom motorens lydbilde og den faktiske akselerasjonen gj\u00f8r at bilen av og til f\u00f8les litt undermotorisert. Det er mer en <em>f\u00f8lelse<\/em>, enn realitet. Bringer tankene tilbake i tid, selv om moderne utstyr er p\u00e5 plass.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Uansett hvor mye jeg liker assosiasjonene til amerikanske storselgere, s\u00e5 kan jeg ikke skjule at CVT bidrar til \u00e5 svekke kj\u00f8regleden noe. Jeg f\u00f8ler sjelden trang til \u00e5 ta den lange veien hjem. Det sparer man jo bensin p\u00e5, &#8211; men n\u00e5r veien f\u00f8les lang, skal jeg innr\u00f8mme at jeg gjerne velger PWR modus. Da f\u00f8les responsen ved gassp\u00e5drag litt kvikkere, selv om motorturtallet ogs\u00e5 her \u00f8ker i forkant av den faktiske akselerasjonen. Forskjellen er at bilen blir mer underholdende \u00e5 kj\u00f8re.<\/p>\n<p>Slektskapet til Prius er slettes ingen ulempe for Auris Hybrid. Vi vet at drivverket ikke bare tilfredsstiller amerikanske bilkj\u00f8peres <em>smak<\/em>, men ogs\u00e5 amerikanske forbrukeres kvalitetskrav. Velger du Touring Sports f\u00e5r du en politisk korrekt og fullverdig familiebil til 304 600 pluss vinterhjul og \u00e5rsavgift. Med 530 liters bagasjerom f\u00e5r du mer plass enn Ford Mondeo, men ikke like lett \u00e5 utnytte. P\u00e5 grunn av baguette-fasongen blir \u00e5pningen til lasterommet litt trang, og selv om det er flatt gulv med baksetene foldet ned, b\u00f8r ikke kolliene v\u00e6re volumi\u00f8se. Jeg m\u00e5 for eksempel demontere min terrengsykkel for \u00e5 f\u00e5 den gjennom bakd\u00f8ren.<\/p>\n<p>Hybrid er ikke fremtiden. Det er <em>n\u00e5tid<\/em>. Fremtiden er elektrisitet. Men det vil ta lang tid f\u00f8r verden utenfor Oslo-gryta er tilstrekkelig utbygget for elbiler &#8211; enten de mates med batteri eller hydrogengass. Inntil videre kommer hybrid til \u00e5 v\u00e6re p\u00e5 markedet i mange \u00e5r enn\u00e5. <\/p>\n<p>Det tror jeg ikke CVT girkassene vil.<\/p>\n\n<figure id=\"attachment_8536\"
