Modellen ble bygget for racing og kun 492 biler ble produsert. If\u00f8lge chassis nummeret dreier det seg trolig om en 1975-modell, f\u00f8rste gangs registrert i Norge i 1978 og har hatt samme eier siden 1987. <em>Shelby Cobra Daytona<\/em> i Norge &#8211; begge trolig basert p\u00e5 byggesett fra <em>Factory Five<\/em> &#8211; en produsent av Shelby Cobra replika byggesett. De 6 eneste, originale Daytona-bilene ble bygget mellom 1964 og 1965 for racing. Senere biler er enten &laquo;continuation models&raquo; bygget av Shelby selv, eller replikaer. If\u00f8lge kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yregisteret ble bilen p\u00e5 bildet f\u00f8rste gangs registrert i 2023.
