De er alle produsert ved samme produksjonsanlegg i Bratislava. Det blir ogs\u00e5 Volkswagen Up! Skoda Citigo og SEAT Mii, &#8211; samt flere tidligere Volkswagen-modeller. F\u00f8r det, flere modeller for Skoda og Tatra.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Jeg har ikke bes\u00f8kt <em>fabrikken<\/em>, men Bratislavas Transportmuseum, som stolt viser frem sin lokale bilproduksjon ved byens gamle jernbanestasjon. Dette er et ganske lite museum, selv om det kreves et rimelig stort areal for \u00e5 stille ut ting som damplokomotiver, nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8y og personbiler. Det skal finnes flere lignende museer i Slovakia. Det f\u00f8rste jeg la merke til var en 90-talls Golf Syncro med kampanjedekor, som kunne ha blitt markedsf\u00f8rt som &laquo;Surf&raquo;, &laquo;Urban&raquo; eller noe s\u00e5nt. Ikke husker jeg. Videre la jeg merke til en Audi Q7 pick-up, og en rekke Touareg&#8217;er, &#8211; noen i l\u00f8psversjoner. Produksjonssted var oppgitt til \u00e5 v\u00e6re Bratislava. Var det bare Q7 pick-up som ble produsert i Bratislava? Neida, alle Q7&#8217;er lages i Bratislava. Begge modellene var fors\u00f8k p\u00e5 \u00e5 forlenge levetiden p\u00e5 Skoda Rapid.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jeg pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 finne ut hvilke biler som har opprinnelse i Bratislava. Da finner jeg merkenavnet &laquo;BAZ&raquo; som var det opprinnelige navnet p\u00e5 fabrikken. I tiden etter at jernteppet falt, f\u00f8r Volkswagen kj\u00f8pte alle aksjene, \u00f8nsket Slovakerne \u00e5 fortsette \u00e5 produsere personbiler og nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8y under bilmerket BAZ. De ga Skoda Rapid en facelift og d\u00f8pte den BAZ Locusta. Men i datidens nyrike Europa var det liten ettersp\u00f8rsel etter tidligere \u00d8st-Europeiske biler. Vel, bussen hadde drivverket foran &#8211; ikke bak som personbilene. Til h\u00f8yre to andre 80-talls prototyper fra BAZ.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Likevel st\u00e5r ett protortyp-prosjekt frem som noe som absolutt burde ha kommet i produksjon. Rundt 1960 fikk BAZ i oppdrag \u00e5 lage et lett nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8y av Tatras flotte limousin 603. De utviklet f\u00f8rst en minibuss (603 MB), deretter en pickup (603 PN). Girkassa og den luftavkj\u00f8lte V8-motoren ble flyttet foran og ga drift p\u00e5 forhjulene. Resultatet ble s\u00e6rdeles vellykket. Men, oppdragsgiverne, det kommunistiske regimet vendte dessverre tommelen ned for prosjektet. Kanskje pampene i partiet syntes at kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yene ble for fine for vanlige mennesker? <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I dag st\u00e5r minibussen i museet.
