Felger i beige farge var standard.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nEtter krigen var det mange som dr\u00f8mte om egen bil, men f\u00e5 hadde r\u00e5d. Det skapte et marked for mikrobiler og nye bilmerker dukket opp. Men selv om ettersp\u00f8rselen var til stede, var det f\u00e5 som lykkes. Vespa hadde et solid fotfeste i Europa med sine scootere. Samtidig hadde Piaggio, som eide Vespa, brukt 5 \u00e5r p\u00e5 \u00e5 utvikle og teste ut en mikrobil som de valgte \u00e5 produsere i \u00e9n av Piaggio&#8217;s franske fabrikker.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet var ingen tilfeldighet at produksjonen av Vespa 400 ble etablert utenfor Italias grenser. Da bilen var produksjonsklar, ville den ha kommet i salg p\u00e5 samme tid som nye Fiat 500. Jeg vet ikke hvilke relasjon Piaggio og Fiat hadde, men Agnelli-familien og Fiat s\u00f8rget i alle fall for at Piaggio ikke v\u00e5get verken \u00e5 <em>produsere<\/em> eller selge sin nye modell i Italia.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nN\u00e5r man studerer Vespa 400, finner man egenskaper av samme type som gjorde scooter&#8217;ne popul\u00e6re. Alt er enkelt, brukervennlig og velkonstruert. Selvb\u00e6rende karosseri med et hekkmontert drivverk p\u00e5 400 kubikk-centimeter og 14 hk, elektrisk start, 3 gir forover og ett bakover, 2 seter foran og en benk bak som kun egner seg for 2 sm\u00e5barn. Fronten (&laquo;grillen&raquo;) kan trekkes ut som en skuff hvor man f\u00e5r adgang til batteriet. En interessant detalj er mekanismen som blander inn 2-taktsolje fra en egen oljebeholder etter at man har fylt bensin. Det er ikke utenkelig at det var mor som brukte bilen til sine daglige gj\u00f8rem\u00e5l, mens far kanskje kj\u00f8rte Mobylette eller Vespa scooter til arbeidet? Det var neppe vanlig for syd-europeiske familier \u00e5 ha 2 biler p\u00e5 1950-tallet. I dag dukker Vespa-bilene opp som sympatiske innslag p\u00e5 biltreff. Jeg kan ellers fortelle at Vespa-motoren g\u00e5r lunt og dempet under motorlokket, og gir krefter nok til \u00e5 f\u00f8lge trafikken i franske forstadsomr\u00e5der.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Fakta om Vespa 400<\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Produksjonssted<\/strong><br \/>\nACMA &#8211; <em>Ateliers de construction de motocycles et d&#8217;autombiles<\/em>, Fourchambault, Frankrike. I dag holder <em>Fiat Powertrain Technologies France<\/em> til i lokalene.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Produksjonstid<\/strong><br \/>\n1957- 1961<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Produsert antall<\/strong><br \/>\nMellom 30 000 og 31 000 biler<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Pris i dag<\/strong><br \/>\n\u20ac10.000 &#8211; \u20ac30.000 basert p\u00e5 24 biler til salgs p\u00e5 bilb\u00f8rser over hele verden. Biler under \u20ac10.000 er restaureringsprosjekter.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Etterord<\/strong><br \/>\nDet er helt klart at Vespa ville v\u00e6rt en konkurrent &#8211; ikke bare til Fiat 500 &#8211; men ogs\u00e5 Autobianchi Bianchina Transformable som delte plattform med Fiat. Fiat 500 ble produsert helt frem til 1975 og Bianchina til 1970, mens produksjonen av Vespa stanset i 1961, vel ett \u00e5r etter at Agnelli-familien hadde tatt kontroll over Piaggio.<\/p>\n<hr
