Idag, mer enn seksti \u00e5r senere, bygges disse bilene flere steder over hele verden etter samme originale konsept.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Basert p\u00e5 AC ACE<\/h3>\n<p>Det var <em>Carroll Shelby<\/em> &#8211; en av verdens mest ber\u00f8mte bilskapere &#8211; som skapte Cobra i et samarbeid med AC Cars &#8211; en liten sportsbilfabrikk ved Themsen i landsbyen <em>Thames Ditton<\/em>, Surrey, England. De hadde avsluttet produksjonen av AC ACE etter 9 \u00e5r i produksjon. Modellen var av utseende sv\u00e6rt lik dagens Cobra og hadde blitt levert med spreke 2-liters rekkeseksere fra AC og Bristol. Noen biler hadde blitt bygget for en st\u00f8rre motor &#8211; en 2,6 liters rekkesekser fra Ford Zephyr. I ettertid er for \u00f8vrig flere ACE-biler oppgradert med 289 V8-motorer fra Ford\/Shelby. Det var nemlig d\u00e9t som var Carroll Shelbys plan. Han \u00f8nsket \u00e5 utstyre ACE med Fords 260 og 289 V8-motorer. ordin\u00e6re produksjonen av Cobra hos AC, men produksjonen fortsatte andre steder. Alle biler produsert i ettertid kan enten karakteriseres som &laquo;continuation models&raquo; eller &laquo;replikaer&raquo;. Gjennom \u00e5rene &#8211; fra de f\u00f8rste replikaene ble bygget i 1965 til i dag &#8211; snakker man fremdeles om de samme seriene. Man skiller mellom biler med &laquo;small block&raquo; og &laquo;big block&raquo;. Variantene blir ofte omtalt som Cobra 289 og Cobra 427, selv om de har nyere motorer i samme st\u00f8rrelsesklasse. Flere nyere Cobra har 460-motor og omtales da som &laquo;Cobra 460&raquo;. Andre betegnelser som benyttes, er &laquo;Leaf&raquo; og &laquo;coil&raquo; modell. 427-modellen omtales ofte bare som &laquo;Mk3&raquo;.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&laquo;Street&raquo;, &laquo;racing&raquo; eller &laquo;semi-competition&raquo;?  Majoriteten av bilene fra den ordin\u00e6re produksjonen var gatebilversjoner med eksosr\u00f8rene f\u00f8rt ut bak. Kun f\u00e5 biler var produsert ferdig rigget for racing. I dag er 427 S\/C &laquo;Semi-Competition&raquo; popul\u00e6r med brede hjul, sidepipes og 4-punktsbelte, men utstyrt med speedometer og andre ting man trenger for \u00e5 kj\u00f8re p\u00e5 offentlig vei.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Continuation Models<\/h3>\n<p>Det er n\u00e6rmest umulig \u00e5 finne gjenv\u00e6rende biler fra de opprinnelige produksjonsseriene. Alle bilene er forbausende lik originalene de er basert p\u00e5. Man m\u00e5 under skallet for \u00e5 finne ut hvilken produsent som har levert byggesettet eller bilen. Konstruksjonsmessig er alle bilene bygget opp p\u00e5 st\u00e5lr\u00f8rsrammer med karosserier enten i glassfiber eller aluminium. Innvendig d\u00f8rk og sider skal v\u00e6re formet som et aluminiums-kar, skj\u00f8nt utformingen varierer noe. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">3 viktige faktorer<\/h3>\n<p>Det er tre faktorer som kan avgj\u00f8re kvaliteten og verdien p\u00e5 en Cobra Replika: Leverand\u00f8ren av byggesettet, drivverket og hvem som har bygget bilen. Jeg har laget en liste over replika-produsenter jeg har funnet basert p\u00e5 salgsannonser og kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yregisteret. bare Ford-motorer<\/h3>\n<p>Selv om de originale motorseriene ikke lenger er i produksjon, ser det ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re god tilgang p\u00e5 Shelby-motorer. Flere benytter motorer fra GM i sine prosjekter. Britiske Cobra-byggere benytter gjerne V8-motorer fra Rover og Jaguar. Tyske produsenter kan tilby motorer fra AMG\/Mercedes-Benz. Det finnes ogs\u00e5 biler med 4- og 6-sylindrede motorer. Alternative motorer er neppe d\u00e5rligere enn Shelby\/Ford-motorer, men noen vil kanskje hevde at det forringer kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yets modell-tilh\u00f8righet, at det ikke lenger er en Cobra. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Autentisk eller bare en allright bil?<\/h3>\n<p>En Cobra i god stand og lav km koster i underkant av 1 million kroner eller mer. Det er faktisk ikke det verste man kan bruke penger p\u00e5. Med pent stell og god behandling kan bilen nemlig holde seg i verdi til den dagen den skal selges. Hvor viktig er det at bilen er s\u00e5 lik en original Cobra som mulig? Uten historikk, papirer, kvitteringer og kjennetegn kan det v\u00e6re vanskelig \u00e5 fastsl\u00e5 autentisitet. Chassis-nummeret kan gi navn p\u00e5 produsenten. Hvor motoren stammer fra, er ogs\u00e5 viktig. Ikke bare produsent, men ogs\u00e5 <em>hvem<\/em> som eventuelt har overhalt den. Man kan sammenligne med stempelet p\u00e5 antikk porsel\u00e9n, eller signaturen p\u00e5 et maleri. I videresalg kan det betyr mye.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Chassis-nummeret<\/h3>\n<p>Noen produsenter f\u00f8lger et system for sine chassis-numre gjennom tidene, skj\u00f8nt man kan <em>ikke<\/em> v\u00e6re sikker p\u00e5 at nummeret er ekte. P\u00e5 de opprinnelige Shelby-modellene skal de v\u00e6re stanset inn flere steder, blant annet i ramma. Jeg vil tro det ogs\u00e5 gjelder Shelby&#8217;s egne continuation modeller. Alle Cobra&#8217;er som er bygget hos Shelby, skal ha et chassis-nummer som begynner med &laquo;CSX&raquo; &#8211; &laquo;Carroll Shelby Export&raquo; fra tiden da Cobra ble produsert i Her kan man tilsynelatende skrive hva som helst.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Selgers informasjonsplikt<\/h3>\n<p>P\u00e5 replika-produsentenes egne hjemmesider omtales modellene med navn som for eksempel &laquo;Kirkham 427&raquo; og &laquo;Superformance MkIII&raquo; &#8211; ikke &laquo;AC Shelby Cobra 427&raquo; som modellen er bygget etter. Hvis selgeren ikke kjenner til &#8211; eller velger \u00e5 ikke oppgi replika-produsentens navn &#8211; b\u00f8r overskriften i annonsen i det minste vise ordet &laquo;Replika&raquo;, selv om &laquo;hele verden&raquo; vet at biler etter 1967 ikke er originale. Det handler om \u00e5 opptre seri\u00f8st som selger.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nAnerkjente bilforretninger og auksjonshus som omsetter eksklusive, klassiske biler, oppgir navnet p\u00e5 replika-produsenten i overskriftene. Mange replika-produsenter har produsert biler gjennom flere ti\u00e5r. Deres biler er like gode som bilene Shelby produserer. Det er derfor ingen grunn til \u00e5 skjule replika-produsentenes identiteter.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nFlere biler p\u00e5 markedet er bygget\/ombygget p\u00e5 en m\u00e5te som gj\u00f8r at de kan regnes som &laquo;one-of-a-kind&raquo; prosjekter. Spesielt ser dette ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re tilfelle for biler bygget p\u00e5 Corvette-chassis. Her b\u00f8r selger kunne levere full dokumentasjon &#8211; gjerne med bilder. Ikke for \u00e5 konstatere at bilen er bra, men for \u00e5 dokumentere opphav og autensitet. Det kan v\u00e6re godt \u00e5 ha n\u00e5r bilen skal selges videre.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI dag finner jeg 4 annonserte Cobra&#8217;er i millionklassen til salgs p\u00e5 Finn.no. Av de 4 er det kun \u00e9n som r\u00f8per navnet p\u00e5 produsenten. Det er en flott <em>Contemporary Classics 427<\/em> som er til salgs hos <em>Svelvik Bilsalg<\/em>. I en annen annonse kan jeg avsl\u00f8re at dreier seg om en <em>JK Sports Cars &#8211; DAX<\/em> i 427-look, uten at det er nevnt noe sted. Vi snakker om et gammelt roadster-konsept blottet for dagens krav til komfort, plass og sikkerhet. Dashboardet er en fin\u00e9rplate uten kollisjonsputer. Elektronikk er frav\u00e6rende. V8&#8217;eren sitter plassert langt bak, nesten inn i f\u00f8rerplassen. Den har forgassere &#8211; ingen innspr\u00f8ytning &#8211; ingen turbo. Varme, lukt og lyd formidles til f\u00f8rer og passasjer. \u00c5 kj\u00f8re Cobra gir mestringsf\u00f8lelse og det er du som har kommandoen. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Om bildene<\/h3>\n<p>Hovedbildet er tatt ved et amcar-treff p\u00e5 N\u00f8stetangen i Drammen i 2018 f\u00f8r byggingen av de nye boligene. Cobraen i bildet er sannsynligvis en Superformance Mk3 427 &#8211; og i s\u00e5fall en &laquo;continuation&raquo; modell. Bilen som er fotografert ved Hadeland Glassverk er en Factory Five Racing 427. Legg merke til bildene av den svarte og hvite Cobra 427 stilt mot hverandre. Hvem er replika &#8211; og hvem er ekte? Den svarte (t.v.) er en 1965 ERA Cobra 427 mens den hvite (t.h.) er en 1966 AC Shelby med CSX-chassis nummer (original eller contiuation). Bildene av den sorte bilen stammer fra Shelbys hjemmesider. Det er en nyere Shelby 289 &#8211; en bil som er tro mot den opprinnelige 1962 Cobra &#8211; basert p\u00e5 AC ACE.
