Volvo Duett var en av favorittene. Konseptet lever i dag videre som A-traktorer &#8211; og fremdeles handler det om Volvo.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">EPA og A-traktorer<\/h3>\n<p>EPA-traktor og A-traktor f\u00f8lger samme konsept, men ikke samme regler. Transportstyrelsen i Sverige sluttet \u00e5 godkjenne nye EPA-traktorer i 1975. I dag godkjennes traktorbyggeriene i stedet som <em>A-traktor<\/em>. F\u00f8r vi g\u00e5r inn p\u00e5 reglene for godkjenning, er det verdt \u00e5 nevne at det ikke finnes noen &laquo;fabrikk&raquo; som produserer ferdige A-traktorer av gamle Volvoer. Alle eksemplarene er basert p\u00e5 egeninnsats. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sunt motorinteresse<\/h3>\n<p>Fra gammelt av ble EPA-traktorene bygget for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re nytte for seg p\u00e5 sm\u00e5brukene. I dag er de kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y for unge mennesker. I Sverige kan du kj\u00f8re A-traktor fra fylte 15 \u00e5r. Men traktorene er ikke bare noe man <em>kj\u00f8rer<\/em> &#8211; de er ogs\u00e5 mekkeobjekter enten man bygger sin egen doning eller overtar en ferdig bygget A-traktor. P\u00e5 mange m\u00e5ter sammenlignbart med v\u00e5re egne russebusser som krever egeninnsats, gir samhold og ikke minst mestringsf\u00f8lelse for skoletr\u00f8tt ungdom.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Historikk<\/h3>\n<p>Allerede f\u00f8r krigen begynte mange \u00e5 bygge om gamle biler s\u00e5nn at de kunne brukes ute p\u00e5 jordene. De ble &laquo;billig-traktorer&raquo;. Ordentlige traktorer var det kun storb\u00f8nder som kunne skaffe seg. P\u00e5 samme tid etablerte EPA kjeden seg med \u00e5 selge billige varer til folk flest, ofte av ikke helt topp kvalitet. En skjorte fra EPA, for eksempel, kunne bli omtalt som <em>EPA-skjorte<\/em> i betydningen <em>billigskjorte<\/em>. Men EPA solgte aldri traktorer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Duett som EPA-traktor<\/h3>\n<p>Tradisjonelle EPA-traktorer (f\u00f8r 1975) var bundet av andre krav enn dagens A-traktorer. Kravene til traktor var blant annet at kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yet m\u00e5tte ha ramme, maksimal akselavstand p\u00e5 2,25 meter, v\u00e6re utstyrt med hengerfeste og maksimalt kunne g\u00e5 i 30 km\/t. Det fantes ogs\u00e5 krav til utvekslingsforholdet mellom motoromdreininger og hjulomdreininger. Det skulle v\u00e6e minst 10 til 1. \u00c9n l\u00f8sning var \u00e5 montere inn en ekstra girkasse l\u00e5st til f\u00f8rste gir som et reduksjonsgir. Kravet til akselavstand ble l\u00f8st ved \u00e5 kappe rammen og det var ikke uvanlig \u00e5 feste bakakslingen uten fj\u00e6ring. Kravet til ramme gjorde det vanskelig \u00e5 finne donorbiler. Volvo Duett passet utmerket, og mange av dem fikk derfor et nytt liv som EPA-traktor.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56184\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56184\" style=\"width: A-traktor har forandret seg som f\u00f8lge av endringene i bilparken. Kravet til ramme og maksimal akselavstand eksisterer ikke lenger. Det er ogs\u00e5 lempet p\u00e5 kravene til utvekslinger. Men maks hastighet ligger enn\u00e5 p\u00e5 30 km\/t. Skal du bygge om en nyere Volvo, kan dette l\u00f8ses ved \u00e5 endre p\u00e5 motorens styringsboks. Dagens A-traktorer benytter donorbiler som Volvo 940 og V70. Her kan man f\u00e5 styringsboksen &laquo;tunet&raquo; til en makshastighet p\u00e5 30 km\/t med attest fra svenske chip-tuningsfirmaer. Man m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 fysisk sperre girspaken fra de girene hvor hastigheten p\u00e5 tomgang overstiger 30 km\/t. Dermed kan man ogs\u00e5 bygge om biler med automatgir til A-traktorer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Karosserimessige endringer<\/h3>\n<p>Bildene viser biler som har f\u00e5tt kappet av deler av karosseriene og ombygd med lasteplan bak &laquo;f\u00f8rerhuset&raquo; som en slags pickup-l\u00f8sning. Dette krever mer kunnskaper enn de fleste har. \u00c5 sveise p\u00e5 bilkarosserier kan v\u00e6re vanskelig hvis man ikke selv er &laquo;i faget&raquo;. Men heldigvis tillater reglene n\u00e5 at man kan beholde bilens opprinnelige karosseri hvis kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yets egenvekt med f\u00f8rer er over 2 tonn og minst 60% av vekten hviler p\u00e5 drivende aksel. P\u00e5 Volvo 940 og V70 kreves det at man sveiser\/bolter fast ballast i form av for eksempel jern for \u00e5 \u00f8ke vekten. Det er ikke tillatt \u00e5 ha baksete eller bagasjerom som p\u00e5 en bil. Hvis det originale karosseriet beholdes, m\u00e5 man fysisk blokkere adgangen til \u00e5 benytte kupe- og bagasjerom bak f\u00f8rerstolene. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sikkerhetskrav<\/h3>\n<p>I Sverige kreves det at alle langsomtg\u00e5ende kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y, som traktorer, har festet et varseltrekant-symbol bak. Alle traktorer skal v\u00e6re utstyrt med velteb\u00f8yle, eller tak som t\u00e5ler en velt. Man kan ha med inntil 2 passasjerer s\u00e5fremt de har egne seter og at alle ombord m\u00e5 ha sikkerhetsbelte. (foto: Depositphotos\/fototen)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Noe for Norge?<\/h3>\n<p>I Norge er det nesten umulig \u00e5 f\u00e5 godkjent amat\u00f8rbygde biler uansett hvilken kj\u00f8ret\u00f8ygruppe det gjelder. Det m\u00e5 gj\u00f8res endringer i kravet til typegodkjenning for traktorer, noe som sannsynligvis kun kan skje med politisk innflytelse. Finnes det noen politikere som vil kjempe for at norske bygdeungdommer skal f\u00e5 bygge seg EPA-traktorer? Neppe. Men da svenske myndigheter valgte \u00e5 stanse godkjennelse av nye EPA-traktorer p\u00e5 slutten av 70-tallet, ble det startet en massiv protestbevegelse som resulterte i at ordningen igjen ble \u00e5pnet &#8211; dog under nye betingelser som A-traktor. Hadde det ikke v\u00e6rt for at EPA-traktorene allerede var s\u00e5 godt innarbeidet, ville de sannsynligvis aldri blitt gjeninnf\u00f8rt.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet finnes mange argumenter mot \u00e5 bygge om biler til A-traktorer. De samme argumentene man ogs\u00e5 kan bruke om mopedbiler.
