I Norge har Fiesta v\u00e6rt borte fra prislistene i mer enn to \u00e5r. I Tyskland leveres n\u00e5 bare biler fra lager. Fiesta produseres b\u00e5de i K\u00f6ln og i Valencia. Ford \u00f8nsker \u00e5 frigj\u00f8re produksjonskapasitet til sin nye hel-elektriske SUV som skal bygges p\u00e5 Volkswagens MEB-plattform &#8211; samme plattform som blant annet benyttes i ID.4. Bortfallet av Fiesta markerer ikke bare et skille mellom termiske biler og elbiler, men ogs\u00e5 overgang til et mindre mangfold i bilmarkedet. Fords nye elbil blir vel nummer 6 eller 7 som bygges p\u00e5 samme plattform? Pionerne i klassen var Renault 5 og Fiat 127. De var bygget etter samme konsept, men latinske biler n\u00e5dde aldri helt hjem hos oss i nord. Derfor skulle det bli Ford som fikk folk til \u00e5 \u00e5pne opp \u00f8ynene for sm\u00e5bilklassen. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">En fest i hverdagen?<\/h3>\n<p>Navnet &laquo;Fiesta&raquo; gir assosiasjoner til noe festlig. Da de f\u00f8rste bilene rullet ut i 1976, var det som en frisk pust &#8211; i hvert fall sett med mine unge \u00f8yne. I 1981 lanserte Ford endog kampanjemodellen Fiesta Festival med frisk dekor. Jeg fikk studere bilen p\u00e5 n\u00e6rt hold hos min lokale Ford-forhandler. Selv om Fiesta var en liten revolusjon sammenlignet med 70-tallets Escort og Taunus, var den en ekte Ford b\u00e5de i teknikk og design. Tannstang-styringen var direkte, det var clutch\u2019en ogs\u00e5, \u2013 og 1,1-literen virket kvikk. Etter hvert som Fiesta vokste seg st\u00f8rre og mer lik Ford Focus, skulle man tro at tomrommet etter de tidlige Fiesta-modellene ville fylles av Ford Ka. De f\u00f8rste Ka-bilene ble da ogs\u00e5 produsert sammen med Fiesta mk4 i Spania, men Ka appellerte ikke til alle. Det var en bil man enten elsket eller hatet. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>1976 Fiesta mk1 &#8211; Originalen.<br \/>\n1981 Mk1 facelift &#8211; Sm\u00e5 endringer.<br \/>\n1983 Mk2 &#8211; En halv generasjon.<br \/>\n1989 Mk3 &#8211; En helt ny modell.<br \/>\n1995 Mk4 &#8211; Halv generasjon med fiskemunn.<br \/>\n1999 Mk4 facelift &#8211; fiskemunnen forsvant.<br \/>\n2002 Mk5 &#8211; En helt ny modell.<br \/>\n2005 Mk5 facelift<br \/>\n2008 Mk6 &#8211; En helt ny modell.<br \/>\n2017 Mk7 &#8211; Ford Focus &laquo;light&raquo;<br \/>\n2023 Produksjonen av Fiesta opph\u00f8rer<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">The good, bad and ugly?<\/h3>\n<p>P\u00e5 bilb\u00f8rsene dukker det ofte opp eldre, bestemorkj\u00f8rte biler. En gammel Fiesta gir mye nostalgi, men kommer neppe til \u00e5 bli noen klassiker. Unntaket er Fiesta XR2, XR2i og ST. Fra 1981 kunne man f\u00e5 mk1 som XR2, senere ogs\u00e5 i mk2. Modellen fikk runde frontlys med ekstralys i grillen, skjermbreddere, fetere trim og hjul, 1,6 liters motor med weberforgasser med effekt p\u00e5 82 HK. Verdt \u00e5 nevne er ogs\u00e5 Fiesta mk3 RS1800 og RS Turbo. Mk4 er mer en <em>facelift<\/em> av mk3 enn en ny generasjon. De utvendige endringene minnet om faceliften p\u00e5 1995-modellen av Scorpio. I ettertid er Scorpio med fiskemunn k\u00e5ret til en av verdens styggeste biler, og jeg synes fiskemunnen passet like d\u00e5rlig p\u00e5 Fiesta. Jeg har et over 40 \u00e5r gammelt minne om denne bilen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nEtter et familieselskap var jeg &laquo;dedicated driver&raquo; for \u00e5 kj\u00f8re alle hjem midt p\u00e5 natten &#8211; i en 1981 Ford Fiesta 1.1. Det var svoger, som var bilens eier, min s\u00f8ster, v\u00e5r mormor, morfar og lillebroren min p\u00e5 12 \u00e5r. Han fikk sitte sammenkr\u00f8pet i bagasjerommet. Der hvor bygdeveien gikk gjennom et skogholt fikk jeg plutselig en uggen f\u00f8lelse. Jeg f\u00f8lte at noe var galt. Selv om vi kj\u00f8rte p\u00e5 80-vei, fikk jeg meg ikke til \u00e5 r\u00f8re gassen, s\u00e5 bilen stanset av seg selv. <em>&laquo;Hvorfor stanser du?&raquo;<\/em>, spurte f\u00f8lget. Da forsto  jeg hva som var galt. I veikanten s\u00e5 vi rett opp i \u00f8ynene p\u00e5 en stor elgokse. Skytsengel eller intuisjon?
