I s\u00e5 fall kan coup\u00e9-varianten v\u00e6re et bra alternativ for de som prioriterer <em>skj\u00f8nnhet<\/em> fremfor plass. De f\u00e5r SUV&#8217;ens understell til \u00e5 frakte batteripakken, men et lavere, mer avrundet og elegant glasshus. Coup\u00e9-aktige SUV&#8217;er har v\u00e6rt laget tidligere uten st\u00f8rre suksess. Ville biler som Volvo C40 hatt livets rett hvis batteriene kunne plasseres i vanlige personbiler? <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Merker tyngden godt<\/h3>\n<p>Allerede etter f\u00e5 meter merket jeg tyngden av bilen. Utvilsomt tyngre enn XC40 med dieselmotor som jeg har kj\u00f8rt tidligere. If\u00f8lge vognkortet veier da ogs\u00e5 elbilen 450 kg mer. I trafikken merker man at man kj\u00f8rer et ruvende kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y. N\u00e5r jeg legger meg tett inn bak andre biler i lyskryssene forsvinner de nesten under fronten. Coup\u00e9-fasongen oppdager man f\u00f8rst n\u00e5r man bruker sladrespeilet. Synsfeltet gjennom bakruten er ekstremt smalt og blindsonene store. Jeg priser blindsonevarslerne i sidespeilene. Rygging g\u00e5r for \u00f8vrig som en lek med 360 graders ryggeskjerm hvor man ser bilen fra oven. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Kan kj\u00f8res med \u00e9n pedal<\/h3>\n<p>Man kan velge om man vil kj\u00f8re i \u00e9n-pedal modus eller som vanlig bil. Jeg brukte \u00e9n-pedal hele tiden og var komfortabel med det. Men i instruksjonsboken anbefaler Volvo \u00e5 bruke \u00e9n-pedal kun i bykj\u00f8ring. \u00c9n-pedal-l\u00f8sningen krever tilvenning n\u00e5r man vipper mellom punktet der bilen gir gass eller bremser &#8211; alts\u00e5 der den kan rulle fritt. Motorbremsen hogger inn ganske kraftig, s\u00e5nn at man lett kan ende opp i en brems-gass-brems situasjon. \u00c5 utnytte at bilen ruller fritt, kan v\u00e6re l\u00f8nnsomt og lettere \u00e5 f\u00e5 til hvis man kobler ut \u00e9n-pedal-modusen. H\u00e5ndbrekket g\u00e5r automatisk p\u00e5 n\u00e5r bilen stanser. Det settes ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 n\u00e5r bilen settes i &laquo;Park&raquo; med &laquo;P&raquo;-knappen. Jeg fant ikke noe separat h\u00e5ndbrekk. Jeg fant heller ingen start-knapp. N\u00e5r n\u00f8kkelen &#8211; eller kanskje eiers mobiltelefon &#8211; er i n\u00e6rheten, er det bare \u00e5 sette bilen i &laquo;Drive&raquo; og kj\u00f8re i vei. Dette er moderne brukergrensesnitt.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Google er med<\/h3>\n<p>P\u00e5 vei for \u00e5 plukke opp kona mi, stilte jeg inn radiokanalen hennes, P5 Hits, og gjorde meg kjent med infotainment-systemet. Jeg noterte meg at det er Google-programvare ombord og at navigasjonssystemet er basert p\u00e5 Google Maps &#8211; verdens beste kartsystem. Jeg innser at jeg ikke er skapt for \u00e5 fikle med sm\u00e5 dataskjermer. Med mine store never treffer jeg ofte flere knapper samtidig og sveiper s\u00e5 alt forsvinner. Men p\u00e5 C40&#8217;en fungerte det ganske bra. Var dette takket v\u00e6re Google, tro?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Min kritiske kone<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg innr\u00f8mmer at jeg liker Volvo bedre enn mange andre biler. De er laget for lange nordboere som meg. Det gjelder ogs\u00e5 C40. Og forresten &#8211; s\u00e5 opplever jeg at medtrafikantene er ekstra hensynsfulle og positive n\u00e5r jeg kj\u00f8rer Volvo. Kona mi er mer objektiv enn meg. Setene var ganske harde, men ga god st\u00f8tte alle veier for meg. Kona mi var helt enig. Hun likte stoffene og sittekomforten. Hennes eneste kritiske bemerkning gjaldt det innvendige lydbildet. Vel, alts\u00e5, dette er kanskje flisespikkeri, men det virket som bilens innvendige akustikk drepte lyden fra musikkanlegget. &laquo;V\u00e5r&raquo; bil hadde lydanlegg fra Harman\/Kardon med en dr\u00f8ss h\u00f8yttalere spredt omkring som automatisk skal justere lydbildet etter hvem som sitter i bilen og etter fartsforholdene. Den innvendige st\u00f8yen i C40 er ikke generende. Frekvensen er noks\u00e5 lav og monoton. Sammenligner vi med Tesla 3 gir dekkene der et mye mer markant og skarpere lydbilde, men d\u00e9t kommer ikke i konflikt med lydanlegget.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">P\u00e5 veien<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg tror ikke alle 408 hestene er konstant med n\u00e5r man kj\u00f8rer, men de er raskt p\u00e5 pletten n\u00e5r man trenger dem. Bilen kj\u00f8rer absolutt som en SUV. Man sitter h\u00f8yt, har store hjul med lang fj\u00e6ringsvei og et understell som svelger det meste uten \u00e5 v\u00e6re for myk. Styringen er speed-sensitiv &#8211; ikke superskarp, men heller ikke d\u00e5rlig til \u00e5 v\u00e6re SUV. Men det kan v\u00e6re de myke dekkene. Styremotstanden kan stilles inn til myk eller hard. Jeg stilte den p\u00e5 hard og var forn\u00f8yd med det.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet gode dreiemomentet gj\u00f8r at  bilen uanstrengt kan holde jevn fart, men det monotone lydbildet gj\u00f8r at man lett kan glemme farten hvis man kj\u00f8rer alene p\u00e5 veien uten cruise control. Jeg fikk for \u00f8vrig testet 4-hjulstrekket \u00e9n gang da jeg skulle kj\u00f8re i gang etter \u00e5 ha rygget ned en bratt og steinete traktorvei. Det hadde v\u00e6rt pinlig \u00e5 kj\u00f8re seg fast. 4-hjulstrekket kan i sannhet redde dagen din!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_52469\" Hel\u00e5rsdekk har mykere gummi enn sommerdekk og avgir ikke like mye st\u00f8y. Kan st\u00f8y v\u00e6re grunnen til at Volvo anbefaler hel\u00e5rsdekk p\u00e5 C40? Uansett, fortjener denne fine bilen separate sommerdekk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Rekkevidde<\/h3>\n<p>If\u00f8lge opplysninger p\u00e5 <em>Vegvesen.no<\/em> er oppgitt rekkevidde 441 km. Reell rekkevidde kan som kjent variere mye med v\u00e6r og f\u00f8reforhold. Mine egne erfaringer er at reell rekkevidde ofte havner p\u00e5 4\/5 deler av oppgitt rekkevidde m\u00e5lt etter WLTP kombinert kj\u00f8ring. Det vil si omtrent 350 km for C40. Basert p\u00e5 v\u00e5r tur kom jeg frem til en beregnet rekkevidde p\u00e5 388 km. Det er basert p\u00e5 en kj\u00f8restrekning p\u00e5 186 km &#8211; halvparten p\u00e5 80-110 motorvei og resten p\u00e5 landevei og i by midt i &laquo;rushen&raquo;. Hvis vi holder bykj\u00f8ringen utenfor, ville rekkevidden havnet p\u00e5 397 km over t\u00f8rre veier i 18-20 grader med klimaanlegget stilt p\u00e5 22 grader. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Forbruk<\/h3>\n<p>Oppgitt forbruk basert p\u00e5 WLTP kombinert kj\u00f8ring er 20 kwh\/100 km. V\u00e5rt forbruk basert p\u00e5 kj\u00f8recomputeren var 18,7 kwh\/100 km n\u00e5r rushtidskj\u00f8ringen er holdt utenfor, &#8211; 19.1 kwh\/100 km inkludert k\u00f8kj\u00f8ring. Dette er gunstig sett i forhold til at bilen veier nesten 2,3 tonn med to personer ombord. Bagasjevolumet er kun 6 liter mindre med setene oppsl\u00e5tt og 123 liter mindre med setene nede. I praksis vil det st\u00f8rste savnet v\u00e6re at man ikke kan laste like mye over hattehyllen i C40 som man kan i den firkantede XC40. \u00c5 kunne laste i h\u00f8yden gj\u00f8r at man blant annet kan frakte kofferter st\u00e5ende. Volvo C40 byr likevel p\u00e5 et anstendig bagasjevolum p\u00e5 413 liter som er todelt med en plate. Foran finnes en &laquo;frunk&raquo; med 31 liters lasterom &#8211; stort nok til en handlepose. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sikkerhet<\/h3>\n<p>Volvo C40 \u00e5rsmodell 2022 ble testet av Euro NCAP med sv\u00e6rt gode resultater. Med ett lite unntak kom alle dukkene ut med gr\u00f8nt resultat og 5\/5 stjerner. Totalscore ble 92% for voksne og 89% for barn. Bilen har automatisk n\u00f8dkall ved sammenst\u00f8t og bremsene g\u00e5r da automatisk p\u00e5 for \u00e5 forhindre f\u00f8lgeskader.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.euroncap.com\/media\/69501\/euroncap-2022-volvo-c40-recharge-datasheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Euro NCAP rapport<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Amerikanske IIHS &#8211; The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety &#8211; har i 2022 tildelt Volvo C40 tittelen <em>Top Safety Pick +<\/em>. Ogs\u00e5 i deres tester kom C40 sv\u00e6rt godt ut. \u00c9n av testene hvor elbiler ofte kan komme d\u00e5rligere ut enn fossilbiler, er sideveis kollisjon. Denne besto C40 fint.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Bestilling p\u00e5 nettet?<\/h3>\n<p>Volvo reklamerer med at du kan bestille din C40 p\u00e5 nettet. Det kan du <em>ikke<\/em>. Du kan gj\u00f8re mye, men du kan <em>ikke<\/em> effektuere bestillingen til fabrikken. Det m\u00e5 gj\u00f8res av en Volvo forhandler. Ventetiden i \u00f8yeblikket er oppgitt til 5-6 m\u00e5neder f\u00f8r du kan f\u00e5 bilen levert. Bilene produseres ved Volvos fabrikker i Gent. El-drivverket kommer fra Polestar i Kina. med lavbygde SUV&#8217;er? <\/p>\n<p>Sammenligner vi Volvo C40 Recharge Twin med tilsvarende XC40, finnes det kun marginale forskjeller. C40 gir <em>litt<\/em> bedre rekkevidde, men tilbyr <em>litt<\/em> mindre bagasjerom og koster <em>litt<\/em> mer.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nEr C40 vakrere enn XC40? &#8211; Og oppveier det for tapet av muligheten til laste over hattehyllen?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSmak og behag. Jeg synes C40 var finere enn jeg hadde forestilt meg p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd. Den har drivverk fra Polestar og oser premiumklasse tvers igjennom. For meg teller &laquo;good looks&raquo; mer enn &laquo;mer plass&raquo;, skj\u00f8nt jeg sp\u00e5r at biltypen kan komme til \u00e5 forsvinne fra markedet n\u00e5r de mindre plass- og vektkrevende
