Tilbake st\u00e5r det lille tettstedet igjen som et utkantssted selv om avstanden til Oslo bare er en snau time. Ser man bort fra bilparken, ser hovedgaten ut til \u00e5 ha st\u00e5tt uforandret siden 1980. Det gj\u00f8r stedet til en ideell lokasjon for den \u00e5rlige Veteranbildagen. Det er et biltreff hvor gaten blir stengt for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re plass til gjestenes biler. Bygningene rundt danner en fin ramme for bilene. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Bredt spekter av kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y<\/h3>\n<p>Det f\u00f8rste jeg fikk \u00f8ye p\u00e5, var en r\u00f8d DeTomaso Pantera ved siden av to Wartburg&#8217;er. Wartburg var vanlige, putrende totaktere p\u00e5 60-tallet. Italienske Pantera, derimot, var det f\u00e5 som hadde sett i virkeligheten. Det som gj\u00f8r Veteranbildagen interessant for bilentusiaster, er den store spennvidden i kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yene. Her kan man faktisk finne biler som ikke s\u00e5 ofte kommer p\u00e5 biltreff, &#8211; biler som var hverdagsbiler for f\u00e5 ti\u00e5r siden. Man kan ogs\u00e5 finne bilmerker som ikke lenger eksisterer, som for eksempel DeSoto, Studebaker, Borgward og Rambler. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Fine turveier<\/h3>\n<p>Ett godt argument for \u00e5 ta med finbilen til Veteranbildagen p\u00e5 Tofte tidlig i september, er ogs\u00e5 de fine turveiene &#8211; enten du kommer via Filtvedt eller Klokkarstua. Klassiske landeveier som svinger seg gjennom et sm\u00e5kupert landskap med mye fint \u00e5 se p\u00e5 langs veien. Da bilene var nye, kunne man kun kj\u00f8pe dem som lekebiler. Flere har senere skaffet seg en ekte Pantera. I \u00f8yeblikket finnes det faktisk 72 De Tomaso Pantera biler i Norge. Pantera er utstyrt med Ford V8 motor, midtstilt bak. Det b\u00e5de l\u00e5ter og g\u00e5r riktig bra! Men Ford var ikke bare en underleverand\u00f8r &#8211; de kj\u00f8pte seg inn i selskapet og solgte bilene i USA. Samarbeidet varte fra 1971 til 1975. Det var sannsynligvis oljekrisen som gjorde at Ford trakk seg ut. Etter bruddet fortsatte produksjonen i lavt volum. Pantera ble faktisk produsert helt frem til 1993, men ble omarbeidet to ganger i 1980 og i 1990. Fra 1980 som Pantera GT5 og fra 1990 som Pantera 90. Bilmerket De Tomaso eksisterer fremdeles. En kjempestor rokke som sv\u00f8mmer grasi\u00f8st rundt i de store verdenshavene med vinger og hale? 1971 gjorde Mantas vakre utseende et stort inntrykk p\u00e5 meg selv og andre unge bilentusiaster. Manta A var etter dagens standard enkle, bakhjulsdrevne biler basert p\u00e5 Opel Ascona A. Bilen p\u00e5 bildet er en 1900 SR som originalt ga 90 HK. var litt bredere, litt lengre og litt raskere enn sin forgjenger. Ascona B var en bil som sto p\u00e5 \u00f8nskelisten til mange &#8211; og som vekker gode minner i dag. Blant motorene som ble levert til Norge, var 1,3 S (75 HK), 1,9 S (90 HK). Ascona var s\u00f8stermodellen til den mer sportslige modellen Manta. Ascona B kunne ogs\u00e5 leveres med st\u00f8rre motorer, som 2,0 S (100 HK), 2,0 E med injection 110 HK, samt 2,4 E (144 HK). Ascona 400 gjorde bra i WRC rally med en trimmet utgave av 2,4 liter motoren. Ascona\u2019ene ble popul\u00e6re, b\u00e5de som familiebiler \u2013 og senere som ungdomsbiler. Bilene hadde et flott, GM-inspirert design \u2013 og gikk bra. Jeg har selv kj\u00f8rt Ascona 1,9 S da den var relativt ny \u2013 og sitter igjen med gode inntrykk. P\u00e5 veien leverte den godt innenfor alle grener. En bil som var lett \u00e5 like og som er ettertraktede prosjekter for ombygginger. Det var i 1980 og da var det B2 Coup\u00e9 karosseriet som ble brukt i den s\u00e5kalte &laquo;ur-Quattro&raquo;. Resultatene i motorsport ga Audi en l\u00f8ft oppover p\u00e5 statusskalaen. Den vakre B2 Coup\u00e9 er en av de vakreste Audier som er laget. De var basert p\u00e5 sedanmodellens plattform og motorvalg med forhjulsdrift. Den nye Consul og Granada skulle ikke bare erstatte M-modellene, men ogs\u00e5 engelske Zephyr og Zodiac. Sett med dagens \u00f8yne, var det lite som skilte Consul og Granada. Det var utstyrsdetaljer, grill, innredning og chrome. I begynnelsen kunne man velge 2-d\u00f8rs Consul Coup\u00e9 som innstegsmodell, eller 4-d\u00f8rs sedan og stasjonsvogn. Overgangen mellom 17M\/20M og Consul\/Granada skjedde i \u00e5rsskiftet 1971 til 1972. Basert p\u00e5 registreringsnummeret er bilen p\u00e5 bildet en av de aller f\u00f8rste Ford Consul her i landet, registrert tidlig i 1972 og levert med 1700 V4 motor fra Taunus-serien. Etter min mening er disse f\u00f8rste bilene med Colaflaske-fasong de vakreste av alle Consul\/Granada&#8217;er. De er ogs\u00e5 sjeldne, spesielt med 17M-V4 motor.
