L\u00f8sningen reduserer intern friksjon i motoren, men l\u00f8sningen er en grisete mis\u00e8re som kan ramme bileiere hardt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ber\u00f8rte motorer<\/h3>\n<p>Motorer av typen 1,2 liter <em>PureTech<\/em> med typenumre som begynner p\u00e5 &laquo;EB&raquo;. Dette er 3-sylindrede motorer med og uten turbo som sitter i nesten alle bensindrevne Peugeot og Citroen fra 2013 \u00e5rsmodell. Man kan finne dem i mange Opel&#8217;er ogs\u00e5. Ber\u00f8rte bilmodeller er Peugeot 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 508, 5008, Partner, samt Citroen C3, C3 Picasso, C4, C4 Cactus og Berlingo. Opel med PureTech motorer er av nyere dato. Ber\u00f8rte modeller er blant annet Corsa F, Crossland og Grandland X.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>En av mine lesere, Bjarne, fikk problemer med sin 2017 modell Peugeot 2008. Bilen er g\u00e5tt i n\u00f8dmodus og kan ikke lenger brukes. Registerreima kan ryke n\u00e5r som helst, og deler av reima antas \u00e5 ha tettet oljepumpa.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hvordan kunne dette skje?<\/h3>\n<p>For \u00e5 danne meg et inntrykk av hvordan registeret i motoren ser ut, kikket jeg p\u00e5 en YouTube video der en rolig engelskmann fikser og forklarer. Han viser en registerreim som er i ferd med \u00e5 smuldre opp. Den ser ut som den kan ryke mens motoren dreies rundt for h\u00e5nd. Man ser ogs\u00e5 at reima er tils\u00f8lt av olje og tenker kanskje at det er en \u00f8delagt simmering eller noe s\u00e5nt som har gjort at motorolje har kommet inn i registerhuset. Men, nei. Produsenten av reimene har tydeligvis ikke lykkes helt med kjemien. Materialet t\u00e5ler nemlig ikke olje og smuldrer opp over tid. Ikke bare svekkes reimas holdbarhet, men plastgriseriet havner i bunnpanna og tetter etter hvert igjen silen inn til oljepumpa. En tredje konsekvens er at skadete reimer kan miste evnen til \u00e5 trekke vakumpumpa som skaper vakum til bremsekraftforsterkeren. Det medf\u00f8rte at produsentene ble tvunget til \u00e5 tilbakekalle ber\u00f8rte biler for inspeksjon og eventuell utbedring.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>Bjarne fikk innkallelse fra Peugeot om inspeksjon av registerreima. Den ble utf\u00f8rt hos Bertel O Steen i Drammen som opplyste om at reima var i orden og at han bare kunne kj\u00f8re videre. Dette skjedde p\u00e5 km-stand ca 80.000 med et halvt \u00e5r igjen av garantien &#8211; et halvt \u00e5r f\u00f8r griseriet fra reima tettet silen til oljepumpa.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Med YouTube-filmen i minnet kan man undre seg over hvordan Peugeot kunne gi klarsignal til Bjarnes bil. Oppsmuldringen skjedde neppe over natten. Hadde mekanikeren sett n\u00e6rmere etter, kunne han sett at reima ikke s\u00e5 s\u00e6rlig bra ut. Forklaringen er at inspeksjonene ble foretatt med et spesialverkt\u00f8y som stikkes ned gjennom oljep\u00e5fyllingsr\u00f8ret hvor man kan fastsl\u00e5 om reima har svellet ut. Det handler om en ren sjablongmessig m\u00e5lemetode basert p\u00e5 &laquo;Go eller No go&raquo;. Utsvellingen er nemlig ett av flere tegn p\u00e5 at reima er \u00f8delagt. M\u00e5lingene avsl\u00f8rte mange feil, men langt fra alle. Flere eiere opplevde havari rett etter at merkeverkstedet hadde utf\u00f8rt inspeksjonen. En visuell inspeksjon ville trolig ha avdekket flere feil.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>Bilen til Bjarne havarerte et halvt \u00e5r etter kontrollen. Da var garantitiden utl\u00f8pt. Peugeot-fabrikken har nylig fraskrevet seg alt ansvar fordi ikke alle servicer har v\u00e6rt utf\u00f8rt hos Peugeot eller et verksted Peugeot godkjenner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Tidslinje<\/h3>\n<p>I 2012 ble de f\u00f8rste bilene med PureTech motoren levert. De var av \u00e5rsmodell 2013. I 2018 str\u00f8mmet det inn meldinger om problemer knyttet til tett oljepumpe og oljetrykk. I 2019 dukket det opp sporadiske tilfeller hvor eiere opplevde bortfall av bremseservo. Flere bileiere har kommentert p\u00e5 nettet at de ikke fikk noen innr\u00f8mmelser fra Peugeot om problemene, men i 2021 fikk alle ber\u00f8rte eiere innkallelse til inspeksjon. Det ble da opplyst at problemene gjaldt \u00e5rsmodeller fra 2013 til og med 2017. Det franske bilmagasinet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.largus.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>L&#8217;argus<\/strong><\/a> har konstatert at PSA foretok en endring av registerreimene i april 2017, blant annet ved \u00e5 fjerne det ytre laget &#8211; det som gikk i oppl\u00f8sning f\u00f8rst. Magasinet forteller at problemene sannsynligvis vedvarer ogs\u00e5 etter 2017. PSA har ikke gitt noen opplysninger om at de har gjort forbedringer, men skal if\u00f8lge franske medier gi utvidet garanti vedr\u00f8rende problemer med &laquo;belt-in-oil&raquo; l\u00f8sningen gjeldende fra januar 2021. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Omfang<\/h3>\n<p>Sannsynligvis ble alle bilene i den aktuelle perioden utstyrt med registerreimer av samme kvalitet, men forringelsen utviklet seg i ulik takt avhengig av hvordan bilene ble brukt og vedlikeholdt, og p\u00e5virkning fra ytre faktorer. I 2020 nedjusterte fabrikken skiftintervallet fra 180.000 km og 10 \u00e5r til 100.000 km og 5 \u00e5r. Det kan ha spart mange bileiere for problemer. Mange har likevel byttet tidligere enn foreskrevet, og if\u00f8lge opplysninger fra biler til salgs p\u00e5 Internett, har flere f\u00e5tt utf\u00f8rt dette p\u00e5 garantien. Kj\u00f8rer du med en bil med PureTech-motor f\u00f8r 2018-modell og enn\u00e5 ikke byttet registerreima, b\u00f8r du gj\u00f8re det n\u00e5. If\u00f8lge reim-produsenten skal reim i oljebad redusere intern friksjon i motoren med opptil 30%. Men l\u00f8sningen har en del utfordringer. Eiere av biler med disse motorene m\u00e5 foreta hyppigere kontroller og regne med at reimene kan f\u00e5 kortere levetid enn fabrikken har angitt. Basert p\u00e5 erfaringer hittil, kan det se ut som f\u00f8lgende faktorer kan ha innflytelse p\u00e5 skadene:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bensin i oljen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Det antas at bensin i oljen bidrar til at registerreimene smuldrer opp tidlig. Det vil alltid komme litt bensin i oljen. Langkj\u00f8rte biler er mindre utsatt enn biler med hyppig start, kj\u00f8ring med kald motor og korte turer. Det spekuleres i om bensin med etanol E10 bidrar til \u00e5 fremskynde skadene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hyppige oljeskift og riktig oljetype<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fabrikkens foreskrevne oljeintervaller p\u00e5 2 \u00e5r b\u00f8r kortes ned til hvert \u00e5r. Olje samler opp karbon som kan skade registerreima. Siden det kan komme plastpartikler i oljen b\u00f8r den tappes ut med varm motor, ikke suges ut. Oljen m\u00e5 v\u00e6re godkjent av PSA &#8211; for eksempel <em>Total Quartz INEO First 0W30<\/em> selv om registerreimene heller ikke har t\u00e5lt disse oljene. Det spekuleres i om oljer med andre egenskaper kunne ha redusert skadene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sjekk registerreima mellom skiftene<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flere biler har rapportert om problemer lenge f\u00f8r fabrikkens skift-intervaller. Fabrikken anbefaler derfor inspeksjon mellom intervallene &#8211; ogs\u00e5 for biler fra \u00e5rsmodell 2018. L\u00f8pende kontroller kan gj\u00f8re det lettere \u00e5 selge bilen senere. Men tenk over <em>hvem<\/em> som skal gj\u00f8re kontrollen og <em>hvordan<\/em> den skal utf\u00f8res. M\u00e5ling av <em>bredde<\/em> ved hjelp av forhandlerens spesialverkt\u00f8y fanger ikke opp alle skadede registerreimer. Det b\u00f8r ogs\u00e5 foretas en visuell kontroll. N\u00e6rmer du deg slutten p\u00e5 garantitiden, b\u00f8r du vurdere \u00e5 f\u00e5 registerreimen kontrollert visuelt og dokumentert av et uavhengig verksted. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Kj\u00f8p av bruktbil med PureTech<\/h3>\n<p>Unng\u00e5 biler med lav km-stand og mye &laquo;sm\u00e5kj\u00f8ring&raquo; med kald motor. Selv om registerreima er byttet, kan det oppst\u00e5 senskader ved at bunnpanna og silen til oljepanna allerede er delvis tilstoppet av griseri fra tidligere, eller at motoren er tidligere kj\u00f8rt med tilstoppet oljepumpe.
