Modellen fikk navnet P4 og var utstyrt med en 1900 ccm motor med 4 sylindre. Den var relativt svak med sine 28 hk. Men kvaliteten var god og Volvo ble regnet som en kvalitetsbil.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Volummodeller<\/h3>\n<p>I 1944 ble modellen 444 presentert, en pen og velbygget familiebil. Den ble supplert med Duett i 1953, en praktisk varebil\/stasjonsvogn. N\u00e5 hadde Volvo modeller som kunne selges i volum, b\u00e5de hjemme og p\u00e5 eksport. PV 444 fikk selskap av Amazon\/P120 som var en litt st\u00f8rre familiebil. i 1956. Den nye 140 serien som kom i 1967 ble en storslager. God og solid med mange varianter, 2 eller 4 d\u00f8rs personbil og en Herreg\u00e5rdsvogn. Volvo fulgte med utviklingen og plusset p\u00e5 nye varianter med h\u00f8yere ytelser. 140 serien fikk ogs\u00e5 suksess p\u00e5 eksportmarkeder som USA og Tyskland.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Volvo PV 444<\/h3>\n<p>Volvo viste denne modellen offentlig for f\u00f8rste gang 1 1944. Sv\u00e6rt mange svensker tegnet seg p\u00e5 leveringslisten og bestilte bilen. Men de m\u00e5tte vente helt til 1947 f\u00f8r de fikk noen bil. Det var b\u00e5de streiker og materialmangel s\u00e5 produksjonsstart ble utsatt gang p\u00e5 gang. Siden Volvo hadde forh\u00e5ndssolgt over 11 000 biler, ble de f\u00f8rste seriene revet bort. De f\u00f8rste bilene var kun svarte, og innredningen gul\/gr\u00f8nn. I 1955 startet salget i USA med en spesialmodell &laquo;California&raquo; med st\u00f8rre motor og p\u00e5kostet interi\u00f8r. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Volvo PV 544<\/h3>\n<p>Volvo presenterte Amazon i 1957, og man antok at PV ville forsvinne. Istedenfor kom en oppgrader modell i 1958 (PV544). Sportsmodellen PV Sport med 85 hk ble fort popul\u00e6r i bilsportsmilj\u00f8et. PV modellen ble ogs\u00e5 levert som stasjonsvogn og varevogn med betegnelsen &laquo;Duett&raquo;. Volvo PV 544 gikk over i historien i 1965.
