Solide biler med gode egenskaper og h\u00f8y driftssikkerhet er noe de fleste \u00f8nsker seg og det fant de hos Volvo.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Volvo sin f\u00f8rste bilmodell dukket opp p\u00e5 markedet i 1927. Den fikk navnet P4 og var utstyrt med en 1900 ccm motor med 4 sylindre. Motoren var relativt svak med 28 hk. Men kvaliteten var god og Volvo ble regnet som en kvalitetsbil helt fra den kom p\u00e5 markedet. I 1944 presenterte Volvo den modellen som gjorde fabrikken til en betydelig bilprodusent. Modellbetegnelsen var 444 og det var en virkelig moderne bil med selvb\u00e6rende karosseri og god innvendig plass. Den ble supplert med Duett i 1953, en praktisk varebil\/stasjonsvogn. N\u00e5 hadde Volvo modeller som kunne selges i volum, b\u00e5de hjemme og p\u00e5 eksport. Volvo PV 444 fikk selskap av Amazon\/P120 som var en litt st\u00f8rre familiebil i 1956. Den nye 140 serien som kom i 1967 ble en storslager. God og solid med mange varianter, 2 eller 4 d\u00f8rs personbil og en Herreg\u00e5rdsvogn. Volvo fulgte med utviklingen og plusset p\u00e5 nye varianter med h\u00f8yere ytelser. 140 serien fikk ogs\u00e5 suksess p\u00e5 eksportmarkeder som USA og Tyskland.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Volvo 262C<\/h3>\n<p>Men selv om fabrikken hadde fokus p\u00e5 familiebiler, var det ogs\u00e5 et \u00f8nske om \u00e5 produsere luksusmodeller for \u00e5 n\u00e5 et annet markedssegment. En helt spesiell modell var Volvo 262C som ble presentert p\u00e5 bilutstillingen i Geneve 1977. Det var en 2-d\u00f8rs eksklusiv sportskup\u00e8 med sv\u00e6rt god plass til 4 personer. Utgangspunktet for denne modellen var Volvos 260-serie. Den nye modellen kom med noen endringer, blant annet fikk den en ny frontrute som skr\u00e5net litt mer enn p\u00e5 den vanlige personbilen. 262C ble introdusert med et lekkert svart vinyltak og s\u00f8lvlakkert karosseri. Senere ble andre farger tilgjengelige. Modellen var designet i Sverige men ble produsert hos Bertone i Italia. Totalt ble det produsert 6622 eksemplarer av denne modellen og de fleste ble solgt i USA. 1981 var det siste \u00e5ret hvor 262C ble produsert.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_48042\"
