Den fikk rene og moderne linjer og topp sikkerhet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2_first\">Svensk kvalitet p\u00e5 gummihjul<\/h3>\n<p>Den f\u00f8rste modellen fra Volvo dukket opp p\u00e5 markedet i 1927. Modellen fikk navnet P4 og var utstyrt med en 1900 ccm motor med 4 sylindre. Den var relativt svak med sine 28 hk. Men kvaliteten var god og Volvo ble regnet som en kvalitetsbil. I 1944 ble modellen 444 presentert, en pen og velbygget familiebil. Den ble supplert med Duett i 1953, en praktisk varebil\/stasjonsvogn. N\u00e5 hadde Volvo modeller som kunne selges i volum, b\u00e5de hjemme og p\u00e5 eksport. PV 444 fikk selskap av Amazon\/P120 som var en litt st\u00f8rre familiebil &#8211; i 1956. Den nye 140 serien som kom i 1967 ble en storslager. God og solid med mange varianter, 2 eller 4 d\u00f8rs personbil og en Herreg\u00e5rdsvogn. Volvo fulgte med utviklingen og plusset p\u00e5 nye varianter med h\u00f8yere ytelser. 140 serien fikk ogs\u00e5 suksess p\u00e5 eksportmarkeder som USA og Tyskland.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Volvo 142<\/h3>\n<p>Allerede tidlig p\u00e5 60- tallet begynte Volvo \u00e5 planlegge en etterf\u00f8lger til Amazon. Den ble presentert i 1966 som 140 serien. M\u00e5lene var ganske lik Amazon, og den hadde rene og moderne linjer. Kundene kunne velge mellom 2 motorer, henholdsvis 85 hk eller 115 hk. Den var sv\u00e6rt avansert og sikker med 2-krets bremsesystem, delt rattstamme og et meget solid karosseri. Den ble kun levert med 4-d\u00f8rer fra starten men senere kom 2-d\u00f8rs (1967) og herreg\u00e5rdsvogn (1968). Motorene ble ogs\u00e5 oppgradert i 1969, og valget stod mellom 90hk eller 118hk. For \u00e5 dekke transportbehovet produserte Volvo en herreg\u00e5rdsvogn med forh\u00f8yet tak med betegnelsen &laquo;Express&raquo;. En luksusvogn med 6-sylindret motor (164) kom p\u00e5 markedet i 1968. Den var i grove trekk bygget p\u00e5 140 serien, bare en smule forlenget. I 1974 var det slutt for denne modellserien som ble avl\u00f8st av 240 serien.<\/p>\n\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_47445\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-47445\" style=\"width: 1200px\"
