Hondas tidlige hybridkonsept ble presentert f\u00f8r Toyota introduserte Prius. Men det er ikke <em>hybridl\u00f8sningen<\/em> som gj\u00f8r bilen &laquo;cool&raquo; i dag &#8211; det er det futuristiske designet. De som kj\u00f8rte rundt i en Insight tidlig p\u00e5 \u00e5rtusenskiftet, signaliserte &laquo;milj\u00f8vern for alle penga&raquo;. Dagens <em>BMW iX<\/em>, derimot, er en volumi\u00f8s og tung SUV &#8211; nesten 5 meter lang, nesten 2 meter bred med egenvekt over 2,5 tonn. Oppgitt luftmotstandskoeffisient er kun 0,25 cw. Akkurat n\u00e5 ruller det cirka 1500 iX&#8217;er p\u00e5 norske veier. <em>BMW i4<\/em>, derimot, er forel\u00f8pig et sjeldent syn. Men n\u00e5 rulles den ut for fullt. Mange har valgt denne lekre Gran Coup\u00e9en som sin neste bil. Luftmotstandskoeffisienten er p\u00e5 0,24 &#8211; og dermed p\u00e5 h\u00f8yde med konkurrenter som Tesla og Xpeng P7. Batteripakken i toppmodellen M50 er p\u00e5 80,7 kwh og gir en anstendig rekkevidde p\u00e5 510 km (WLTP). To elmotorer gir 544 hester med drift p\u00e5 alle hjul. Ser man p\u00e5 luftmotstanden, alene, er det hipp som happ om du velger den h\u00f8ye eller lave bilen.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">M\u00e5lt effekt av aerodynamikk<\/h3>\n<p>Det skal ikke mer til enn litt motvind og v\u00e5t veibane f\u00f8r rekkevidden reduseres merkbart. Det er klart at luftmotstand ogs\u00e5 spiller en rolle, men det er vanskelig \u00e5 kvantifisere i forbruk og rekkevidde. Tar vi for oss modeller som leveres i b\u00e5de h\u00f8ybygd og lav utgave, ser vi at fabrikkens tall for rekkevidde p\u00e5virkes i sv\u00e6rt liten grad. Dette kan delvis forklares med at testbilene kj\u00f8res innend\u00f8rs i laboratorier hvor effekten av luftmotstand er <em>kalkulert<\/em> &#8211; ikke m\u00e5lt.<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p><figure den mer coup\u00e9-aktige Sportback-utgaven, ser vi at forskjellen i rekkevidde er kun 8 km i Sportsback&#8217;ens fav\u00f8r. Vi ser tilsvarende forhold mellom <em>Volkswagen ID.4<\/em> og <em>ID.5<\/em>, og mellom <em>Volvo XC40<\/em> og <em>C40<\/em>. Selv om deler av WLTP-m\u00e5lingene kj\u00f8res i h\u00f8yere hastigheter enn vi har i Norge, gir forskjellene i luftmotstand ingen vesentlige utslag p\u00e5 rekkevidde. Amerikanske EPA (Environment Protection Agency) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fueleconomy.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>tester alle biler<\/strong><\/a> med hensyn til MPG (miles per gallon). For elektriske biler er det innf\u00f8rt en m\u00e5leenhet <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miles_per_gallon_gasoline_equivalent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MPGe<\/strong><\/a> hvor elforbruket (kwh) regnes om til drivstoff. Bilene testes b\u00e5de i bykj\u00f8ring og motorveikj\u00f8ring. Her kan forskjellen mellom motorvei-forbruk og byforbruk fortelle hvor gunstig bilene takler h\u00f8ye hastigheter &#8211; og dermed gi en indikasjon p\u00e5 de aerodynamiske egenskapene. Hvis vi velger <em>2019 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD<\/em> med 19 tommers hjul, viser tabellen at rekkevidden skrumper med 28,7% ved \u00e5 \u00f8ke hastigheten fra 100 km\/t til 130 km\/t under gunstige forhold. Tilsvarende tall for <em>Nissan Leaf<\/em> (ubekreftet opphav delt p\u00e5 en forumside) &#8211; viser at Leaf mk1 med 30 kwh batteri reduserer rekkevidden med 32,7% ved samme hastighets\u00f8kning. Antatt samme kj\u00f8reforhold, vil forskjellen mellom de to bilene bare utgj\u00f8re 4% av rekkevidden. Nissan Leaf 1 har en luftmotstandskoeffisient p\u00e5 0,28, mens Tesla Model 3 har 0,23. Luftmotstand er bare \u00e9n av flere faktorer som p\u00e5virker rekkevidde, som for eksempel dekk-egenskaper og vekt. Kanskje forskjellen i rekkevidde ville ha v\u00e6rt st\u00f8rre hvis begge biler kj\u00f8rte p\u00e5 samme dekk og ble rigget opp med samme vekt? Kanskje ikke? En sammenligning mellom to forskjellige merker\/modeller med likedan baterikapasitet, vekt og motorkraft, kan gi oss en pekepinn p\u00e5 hvordan aerodynamikk p\u00e5virker rekkevidde. <em>Tesla Model Y LR<\/em> har for eksempel 86 km bedre rekkevidde (WLTP) enn <em>Volvo XC40 Recharge 408HK<\/em>. Siden de to modellene er sammenlignbare med hensyn til batterikapasitet, vekt og motorkraft, kan forskjellen i rekkevidde langt p\u00e5 vei tilskrives Volvos luftmotstandskoeffisent som er 0,34 mot Teslas 0,25. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hva er bra og hva er d\u00e5rlig? Ingen av elbilene nevnt i dette innlegget har d\u00e5rlige aerodynamiske egenskaper.
