Nye Volkswagen 1500 Cabriolet ble presentert i brosjyrer men aldri satt i serieproduksjon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Bedre plass og st\u00f8rre motor<\/h3>\n<p>Som produsent hadde fabrikken et meget godt navn, og de fleste bilkj\u00f8perne regnet Volkswagen som et godt kj\u00f8p. Et velutbygget salgs og servicenett gjorde det enkelt \u00e5 v\u00e6re Volkswagen eier p\u00e5 1950 og 1960 tallet. Modellutvalget var konsentrert rundt &laquo;Bobla&raquo; og Transporteren. Sportsbilene som ble produsert i samarbeid med Karmann, ga et lite snev av luksus til merket.<\/p>\n<p>Men i Europa \u00f8ket velstanden, og mange bilkj\u00f8pere b\u00e5de \u00f8nsket og hadde r\u00e5d til en mer eksklusiv familiebil enn den vanlige &laquo;Bobla&raquo;. Den hadde jo v\u00e6rt i salg siden rett etter krigen og var markedsmessig en &laquo;eldre&raquo; modell. Mange bilkj\u00f8pere \u00f8nsket ogs\u00e5 bedre plass og st\u00f8rre motor p\u00e5 sin nye familiebil enn det de fikk i &laquo;Bobla&raquo;.<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">B\u00e5de med fast tak og som cabriolet<\/h3>\n<p>Dette var bilkj\u00f8pere som Volkswagen ikke ville sende til konkurrentene, derfor ble en ny familiebil (type 3) introdusert i 1961 som Volkswagen 1500. Siden fabrikken allerede produserte sportslige biler, ble det planlagt flere nye modeller basert p\u00e5 1500. En spennende cabriolet med tak som kunne felles helt ned, ble presentert p\u00e5 bilmessen i 1961. Her kunne ogs\u00e5 sidevinduene rulles ned, og det ga bilen et b\u00e5de sportslig og elegant utseende.
