Med sv\u00e6rt gode kj\u00f8reegenskaper gjorde den umiddelbart sin debut i bill\u00f8p.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Austin og Morris ble BMC<\/h3>\n<p>Austin var i mange \u00e5r en av Englands st\u00f8rste bilprodusenter. Fabrikken ble startet av Herbert Austin i 1905 som Austin Motor Company. Den f\u00f8rste modellen var en stor 5-liters bil med 4 sylindre. Frem mot 1. verdenskrig ble det produsert en rekke forskjellige modeller. I 1922 lanserte Austin den ber\u00f8mte 7, en liten og rimelig bil. Den traff markedet meget bra og ble ogs\u00e5 produsert av BMW som Dixi. Etter 2. Verdenskrig kom fabrikken fort p\u00e5 markedet med nye modeller. I 1952 gikk Austin sammen med Morris og dannet BMC (British Motor Corporation). Mest kjente modell p\u00e5 50 og 60-tallet ble Austin og Morris Mini. Mini-Cooper gjorde merket ber\u00f8mt i bill\u00f8p p\u00e5 60-tallet. Andre popul\u00e6r modeller var Austin Cambridge og Austin 1100.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Austin Mini Seven<\/h3>\n<p>Da BMC lanserte denne modellen i 1959, kom den b\u00e5de som Austin og Morris. Den eneste forskjellen mellom dem var fargeutvalget og grillen. For bilkj\u00f8perne var den nye modellen en stor overraskelse. Den var mindre enn andre biler i samme prisklasse og den hadde meget sm\u00e5 hjul. Den manglet ogs\u00e5 bagasjeplass. Teknikken var helt ny. Bilen var utstyrt med gummifj\u00e6ring og den tverrstilte motoren drev forhjulene. Men den hadde sv\u00e6rt gode kj\u00f8reegenskaper, og gjorde umiddelbart sin debut i bill\u00f8p. Da Mini-Cooper kom p\u00e5 markedet med st\u00f8rre motor i 1961, ble den ogs\u00e5 en vinner i st\u00f8rre internasjonale rallies. Mini-Cooper fikk st\u00f8rre motor i 1964 og det resulterte i seier i Rallye Monte Carlo. Modellutvalget ble utvidet med varebil, pick-up og stasjonsvogn. I 1967 ble Mini MKII lansert med en rekke endringer og forbedringer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Data Austin Mini og Cooper S<\/h3>\n<p>Lengde 303 cm<br \/>\nBredde 139 cm<br \/>\nH\u00f8yde 135 cm<\/p>\n<p>Motor 848 ccm og 36 hk. Toppfart 116 kmt.<br \/>\n(Cooper S: 1275 ccm og 76 hk.
