Til gjengjeld fikk GM tegnet en avtale om produksjon av sine egne modeller p\u00e5 samme plattform. Opel Speedster og den h\u00f8yrerattede s\u00f8stermodellen Vauxhall VX220 var et direkte resultat av dette samarbeidet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ingen vanlig Opel<\/h3>\n<p>Opel Speedster er formgitt av Opels egne designere og linjef\u00f8ringen har flere trekk inspirert av GM, &#8211; eller kanskje Speedster senere inspirerte nye GM-modeller? Spesielt bakpartiet og bakskjermene er sv\u00e6rt vellykket. Ser man n\u00e6rmere etter p\u00e5 nye <a href=\"https:\/\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/chevy-camaro-1-686.png\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Chevrolet Camaro<\/strong><\/a>, finner man samme linjef\u00f8ring der. Det er ingen tvil om at Speedster var et friskt pust for Opel da den kom i \u00e5r 2000. Men Speedster var ingen typisk Opel.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg tok en tur opp til <em>Kenneth Bakkejord<\/em>. Han har en Opel Speedster 2,0 Turbo i garasjen. 200 hester fordelt p\u00e5 930 kilo er ikke d\u00e5rlig &#8211; til og med sett med dagens \u00f8yne. Men det som gj\u00f8r bilen til en skikkelig sportsbil, er Lotus-genene. Aluminiumsramma er en visuell del av bilen. Tenk en go-cart bygget p\u00e5 et lavt aluminums-kar med tykke vanger og hel d\u00f8rk bygget i ett stykke. N\u00e5r du sitter i bilen, er du omgitt av den. Aluminiumen i nedre del av dashbordet &#8211; for eksempel &#8211; er et tverrstag i rammekonstruksjonen. Mange betaler tusenvis av kroner for \u00e5 f\u00e5 kosmetiske aluminiumsinnfellinger i interi\u00f8ret. Her har aluminium en funksjon. Jeg tipper at understellet er signert Lotus &#8211; ikke Opel. Lotus <em>kan<\/em> nemlig skape understell for sport og racing. Jeg minnes de f\u00f8rste testene av den da helt nye Opel Speedster. De ga inntrykk av et kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y som ristet plombene ut av tennene. Det stemmer ikke. Man sitter lavt og f\u00e5r med seg veiens overflate. Med &laquo;muskelservo&raquo; formidles alt fra hjulene. Lotus har riktignok laget et understell som prioriterer veigrep fremfor komfort &#8211; men det er ikke ukomfortabelt.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVeigrepet er for \u00f8vrig fantastisk. Da Kenneth dro p\u00e5 litt i svingene kunne man virkelig kjenne G-kreftene. Speedster byr p\u00e5 mye utrolig kj\u00f8reglede uten \u00e5 kj\u00f8re fort.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVed f\u00f8rste \u00f8yekast ser setene enkle ut og det r\u00f8ffe l\u00e6ret virker glatt. Men p\u00e5 veien sitter man som st\u00f8pt helt opp til skuldrene. Setene passer godt for meg. Jeg er 1,88 med slank kroppsform. Men jeg tviler p\u00e5 at de passer riktig store mennesker. Rammekonstruksjonen stjeler mye plass p\u00e5 yttersidene av kupeen. Dessuten spisser den innover mot fronten. Det gir ikke all verdens plass i bredden. Ett annet &laquo;problem&raquo; er \u00e5 komme seg inn og ut av bilen p\u00e5 en anstendig m\u00e5te. Rammevangene er nemlig meget h\u00f8ye og brede. S\u00e5 kan man jo sp\u00f8rre seg hvordan det skal g\u00e5 med \u00f8velseskj\u00f8ring i fremtiden n\u00e5r alle bilene er lydl\u00f8se og har automatgir, hillholder og alskens systemer for f\u00f8rerassistanse? Og hva med kj\u00f8regleden? Kj\u00f8re aktivt p\u00e5 en svingete og kupert vei, gire manuelt med klikk-klakk f\u00f8lelse, h\u00f8re turtallet, kjenne draget i motoren? Ingen kosmetiske plastdeksler eller annet som \u00f8ker vekten<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorisering<\/h3>\n<p>2,0 Turbo kom f\u00f8rst i 2003-modellen. Tidligere var det kun EcoTec 2,2-motoren som var tilgjengelig. Den gir 147 hester, mens turbomotoren gir 200. Et enkelt s\u00f8k i kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yregisteret forteller at det finns 74 Opel Speedster og 1 Vauxhall VX220 i landet, hvorav kun 9 er turbo-utgaven. Med den tidligere beregningen av engangsavgift ble turbo-tillegget sannsynligvis urimelig h\u00f8yt. Turbo-motoren har v\u00e6rt i GM&#8217;s motorprogram siden 1992. Den ble tilbudt i Astra og Vectra, og senere utgaver av Opels OPC-modeller. Motoren fantes i tre versjoner &#8211; 170 HK, 200 HK og 240 HK. Da kan det kanskje v\u00e6re mulig \u00e5 hente ut enda flere hester fra 200 HK motoren? <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Turbo vs. EcoTec 2,2<\/h3>\n<p>N\u00e5r kreftene leveres p\u00e5 turbo-vis, skjer det litt eksplosivt innenfor turtallsomr\u00e5det hvor dreiemomentet er h\u00f8yest. En naturlig aspirerende motor som EcoTec 2,2 og dav\u00e6rende s\u00f8stermodell Lotus Exige&#8217;s 1,8 Toyota-motor med variable ventiltider, fordeler kraften over et st\u00f8rre turtallsomr\u00e5de og kan dras mer ut p\u00e5 girene. For mange gir det en mer sportslig kj\u00f8reopplevelse, gjerne med et eksosanlegg med sportslig lydbilde. Men 2,2-literen bruker 1 sekund mer p\u00e5 \u00e5 n\u00e5 100 km\/t.
