Folk flest manglet det meste og m\u00e5tte konsentrere seg om sine daglige behov. Ikke var det muligheter for \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe bil, produksjon av nye biler var begrenset. H\u00f8ye priser og restriksjoner p\u00e5 bensin og bilbruk var ogs\u00e5 vanlig i hele Europa. Derfor fikk salget av motorsykler et oppsving. Det samme gjaldt ogs\u00e5 de helt nye Scooterne. Men \u00e5 kj\u00f8re med tohjulinger satte sine begrensninger. V\u00e6ret var problematisk, b\u00e5de regn og sleipe veier utgjorde en konstant trussel for dem som fartet rundt p\u00e5 to hjul. Det var heller ikke lett \u00e5 f\u00e5 med seg familien selv om sidevogner p\u00e5 motorsyklene var til god hjelp. Nei \u2013 folk gikk nok med en bildr\u00f8m i magen. Noen fikk tak i bruktbiler, men alder og d\u00e5rlig vedlikehold gjennom harde tider hadde slitt p\u00e5 kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yene. Siden tidene i Europa stadig ble bedre \u00f8nsket sv\u00e6rt mange en helt ny bil. Den nye \u201dVolkswagen\u201d ga n\u00e6ring til bildr\u00f8mmen, men den var for dyr for folk flest. Mange andre fabrikker kom med nye sm\u00e5biler, fra asfaltbobler til sv\u00e6rt sm\u00e5 familiebiler.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">De f\u00f8rste prototypene<\/h3>\n<p>Frisky var en liten bilmodell som startet livet med sv\u00e6rt h\u00f8ye ambisjoner og spesiell design. Den opprinnelige ideen til denne bilen ble unnfanget av racerf\u00f8reren Raymond Flowers. Han arbeidet i Egypt p\u00e5 1950-tallet. Der laget han ogs\u00e5 en enkel prototype p\u00e5 en liten bil. Prototypen var utstyrt med en 250 ccm Villiers motorsykkelmotor og m\u00e5kevinged\u00f8rer som p\u00e5 Mercedes 300. I forbindelse med Suezkrisen forlot Flowers Egypt og gjorde en samarbeidsavtale med en engelsk fabrikk som skulle produsere bilen for ham. Det resulterte i produksjon av 2 prototyper som ble lansert p\u00e5 bilutstillingen i Geneve i 1957. Den nye modellen var redesignet av Michelotti og rakk akkurat frem til \u00e5pningen av utstillingen. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Frisky Sport<\/h3>\n<p>Frisky ble senere presentert som Frisky Sport p\u00e5 Earls Court i 1957. Bilen var n\u00e5 kraftig endret for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re den rimeligere \u00e5 produsere. Borte var den spennende l\u00f8sningen med d\u00f8rer som vippet oppover. Den kunne n\u00e5 leveres i \u00e5pen eller lukket versjon. I annonsene ble den lansert som 3-seter (3 personer i forsetet), men det ble sv\u00e6rt trangt i f\u00f8lge tester i media. Bilen hadde gode fartsresurser (105 km\/t) med sin lille 2 cyl Villiers motor p\u00e5 325 ccm. Salget ble ikke godt fordi prisen fremdeles var for h\u00f8y. Nye eiere kom inn hos Frisky i 1958. En ny modell med betegnelsen \u201dFrisky Sprint\u201d ble presentert p\u00e5 Earls Court i 1958. Modellen kom aldri i produksjon fordi den ble for dyr \u00e5 produsere. En lett modifisert versjon ble produsert i Australia som Lightburn Zeta.<\/p>\n<p>Den lille bilen solgte aldri godt selv om den fikk meget positive omtaler i media. Aftenposten omtalte den som \u201dbilsensasjonen Frisky\u201d i 1957. Fabrikken skiftet eiere flere ganger og p\u00e5 slutten ble den solgt som byggesett i begrenset antall.<\/p>\n<p>Totalt ble det produsert rundt 1500 stk. av denne lille engelske bilen mellom 1957 og 1964.
