Slik var det ikke tidligere. Nash Healey er et tidlig eksempel p\u00e5 et slikt samarbeid. Europeisk design og solid amerikansk teknologi l\u00e5 bak denne sportsvognen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<p>Nash var en amerikansk bilprodusent som ble grunnlagt i 1916 av Charles W. Nash. Han \u00f8nsket \u00e5 produsere enkle og solide biler for det amerikanske massemarkedet. Bilene var b\u00e5de solide og prisgunstige og salget var godt. Sikkerhet var et viktig salgsargument og Nash var blant de aller f\u00f8rste rimelige amerikanske bilene som fikk bremser p\u00e5 alle 4 hjul. P\u00e5 1930-tallet innf\u00f8rte Nash mange tekniske nyheter. En av disse var &laquo;Bed-In-A-Car&raquo; hvor hele bilens interi\u00f8r kunne gj\u00f8res om til &laquo;sovekupe&raquo;. Nash er vel mest kjent for de nye str\u00f8linjeformede modellene som kom i 1949 med betegnelsen &laquo;Airflyte&raquo;. Konkurransen mellom bilfabrikkene i USA ble t\u00f8ff p\u00e5 1950 tallet Nash fusjonerte derfor med Hudson i 1954. Det nye firmaet fikk navnet AMC (American Motors Corporation). 1957 var det siste \u00e5ret hvor Nash navnet var i bruk og fabrikken valgte \u00e5 samle alle merkene under &laquo;Rambler&raquo; navnet.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Nash Healey<\/h3>\n<p>Sportsbilen Nash Healey ble produsert mellom 1951 og 1954. Bilen ble betegnet som den f\u00f8rste amerikanske sportsbilen produsert etter 1945. Grunnlaget ble lagt da Donald Healey m\u00f8tte Nash direkt\u00f8r George W. Mason hvor de begynte \u00e5 diskutere sportsbiler. Resultatet ble et samarbeid hvor Nash leverte motorer og drivverk. Healey designet det nye aluminiumskarosseriet og sto ansvarlig for sluttmonteringen av bilen. Prototypen ble presentert p\u00e5 bilutstillngen i Paris i 1950. Allerede i 1952 ble det gjort endringer b\u00e5de i design og produksjon. Pinin Farina fikk i oppdrag \u00e5 tilpasse bilens design til de andre modellen fra Nash. Resultatet ble en elegant bil med en utrolig komplisert produksjon. Motor og drivlinje ble produsert av Nash i USA og sendt til England. Dette ble montert i en ramme produsert hos Healey og videresendt til Farina i Italia hvor alt ble montert i et elegant karosseri og sendt tilbake til USA. Sluttresultatet ble en elegant bil som var sv\u00e6rt kostbar med minimalt salg.
