Stor akselavstand og sporvidde f\u00e5r den til \u00e5 se ut som noe mer enn en &laquo;granny express&raquo;. Jeg var nysgjerrig p\u00e5 kj\u00f8reegenskapene og om hybridl\u00f8sningen er blitt mindre masete.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2_first\">Husker du den aller f\u00f8rste Yaris\u2019en?<\/h3>\n<p>Den var et friskt pust fra Toyota. Ikke bare en sm\u00e5bil, men en <em>cool<\/em> bil. Designet vekket oppsikt da det ble presentert p\u00e5 Paris Motor Show i 1998. Yaris var ikke st\u00f8rst i klassen, men vant p\u00e5 andre kvaliteter. Etter flere runder falt Yaris inn under &laquo;det <em>sikre<\/em> &#8211; men akk s\u00e5 <em>kjedelige<\/em>&laquo;. Kjedelig \u00e5 se p\u00e5 og kjedelig \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. Nye Yaris, derimot, ser bra ut. Men hvordan er den \u00e5 kj\u00f8re?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">De vitale m\u00e5lene<\/h3>\n<p>Det er ikke vanskelig \u00e5 se at Yaris har f\u00e5tt bredere sporvidde og lengre akselavstand. Det er de vitale m\u00e5lene som kan f\u00e5 sm\u00e5biler til \u00e5 f\u00f8les som st\u00f8rre biler p\u00e5 veien. S\u00e5nn sett er Yaris st\u00f8rre enn Corolla og Golf var for 10 \u00e5r siden. Yaris&#8217; plattform er ogs\u00e5 st\u00f8rre enn sine konkurrenter, men utviklingen g\u00e5r fort. Nye Skoda Fabia og kommende Volkswagen Polo ligger p\u00e5 samme niv\u00e5. I mine \u00f8yne er Yaris fremdeles en liten bil, men med bredere og lengre plattform, ser den virkelig ut som en kompetent kj\u00f8remaskin.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">P\u00e5 veien<\/h3>\n<p>N\u00e5 skal det sies at jeg ikke har kj\u00f8rt p\u00e5 noen racerbane, bare f\u00f8rt den rolig rundt p\u00e5 landeveier og sm\u00e5veier. Hybriddrivverket best\u00e5r av en 1,5-liter 3-sylindret motor p\u00e5 92 HK og en elmotor p\u00e5 80 HK. Samlet toppeffekt er likevel &laquo;bare&raquo; 116 HK, men dreiemomentet er supert. Det er krefter nok, ogs\u00e5, &#8211; og de er der n\u00e5r du trenger dem. Motoren kommer kvikt &laquo;p\u00e5 banen&raquo; n\u00e5r det beh\u00f8ves. Styringen er lett. I fart kunne jeg \u00f8nsket litt mer styremotstand. Jeg likte hvordan understellet taklet ujevnheter i veien. Spesielt fartshumper, takket v\u00e6re den lange akselavstanden. Fj\u00e6ringen f\u00f8ltes fast, &#8211; likevel komfortabel &#8211; men innb\u00f8d ikke til sportslig kj\u00f8ring. Da ville jeg \u00f8nsket bedre veif\u00f8lelse n\u00e5r bilen legges litt hardt inn i svingene. Vi har tidligere konstatert tydelige forbedringer i nye Corolla og RAV4 &#8211; og n\u00e5 &#8211; nye Yaris. Drivverket oppf\u00f8rer seg likevel annerledes enn hva vi er vant til fra sm\u00e5 turbomotorer med dobbeltkl\u00f8tsj og elbiler. N\u00e5r bensinmotoren er aktiv, oppf\u00f8rer Yaris&#8217;en seg som om den hadde en tradisjonell automatkasse. Jeg vil karakterisere den som mer levende &#8211; og mer underholdende. For meg bringer det minner om fordums automatbiler jeg elsket \u00e5 kj\u00f8re, vel vitende om at det ligger en h\u00e5rfin nyanseforskjell mellom et <em>levende<\/em> og et <em>masete<\/em> drivverk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">3 sylindre med fint lydbilde<\/h3>\n<p>Motoren er 3-sylindret uten at det g\u00e5r ut over lydbildet. Mange 3-sylindrede motorer avgir et lydbilde som minner om scootere og p\u00e5hengsmotorer. Dessuten har de en tendens til \u00e5 sende vibrasjoner inn i kupeen n\u00e5r turtallet g\u00e5r ned mot tomgang. Dette elimineres i hybridbiler, da elmotoren tar over. Under vanlig kj\u00f8ring tenker man ikke s\u00e5 mye p\u00e5 hvordan Yaris&#8217;en fordeler kraften mellom bensin- og elmotor. Men med lysautomatikk og regnsensor er det ikke s\u00e5 mange knapper man egentlig beh\u00f8ver \u00e5 trykke p\u00e5. H\u00e5ndbrekket er elektromekanisk. Girvelgeren er &laquo;PRND&raquo; direkte &#8211; ikke &laquo;by wire&raquo;. Setejusteringen er mekaniske, litt spinkle plasthendler. Setene er &laquo;helt alright&raquo; \u00e5 sitte i, med h\u00f8ydejustering i bakkant og trinnvist regulerbart rygglene. \u00c5pneren til bensinlokket er fremdeles en liten spak under setet. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Plass<\/h3>\n<p>Yaris er registrert for 5, men virker mer som en 4-seter for voksne passasjerer. Men 3 barn g\u00e5r selvf\u00f8lgelig fint baki. Jeg kunne sitte helt alright bak meg selv, skj\u00f8nt inn- og utstigningen var litt kronglete med mine lange ben. Jeg er 1,88 meter h\u00f8y. Generelt kreves det gjensidig samarbeid for \u00e5 f\u00e5 plass til 2 storvokste personer bak hverandre p\u00e5 biler som dette. Bagasjerommet er p\u00e5 286 liter under hattehyllen. Lane Trace Assist, Emergency Steering Assist and Intersection Turn Assistance. Det siste skal oppdage om man er p\u00e5 kollisjonskurs med kryssende trafikk. <\/p>\n<p>Standard p\u00e5 alle modeller er ogs\u00e5 8 airbagger, herunder midt-airbagger som skal hindre at passasjerer p\u00e5 samme seterad &laquo;klinker&raquo; inn i hverandre ved sidep\u00e5kj\u00f8rsel. NCAP testet systemet og det fungerte fint. Yaris fikk topp resultat ved sideveis kollisjoner og ogs\u00e5 med hensyn til whiplash. Alle biler har automatisk e-call system som ringer n\u00f8detat ved sammenst\u00f8t. Ved offset front kollisjon mot f\u00f8rersiden, fikk testdukken skader tilsvarende &laquo;marginal&raquo; i bena p\u00e5 grunn av sammenst\u00f8t med deler av dashbordet. Sammenlignet med konkurrentene, ble sikkerheten i Yaris vurdert p\u00e5 h\u00f8yde med de helt nye modellene av Peugeot 208 og Opel Corsa.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Forbruk<\/h3>\n<p>Forbruk oppgitt fra fabrikken, er m\u00e5lt i ht. WLTP. I WLTP-testene kommer hybridbiler ofte langt bedre ut enn i virkeligheten, fordi en overveiende del av m\u00e5lingene skjer innenfor batterienes rekkevidde. Toyota oppgir WLTP forbruk ved blandet kj\u00f8ring til \u00e5 v\u00e6re 0,39 liter\/mil og det tallet er faktisk reelt. Mitt forbruk i forsteder og landeveier ved utetemperatur p\u00e5 10 grader &#8211; og diverse stopp underveis &#8211; endte p\u00e5 0,34 liter\/mil m\u00e5lt fra f\u00f8rste kaldstart til bilen ble levert tilbake. Dette er ikke d\u00e5rlig med tanke p\u00e5 bilen er ganske kraftig motorisert for sin klasse.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Konklusjon<\/h3>\n<p>Toyota har laget en helt annen Yaris for &laquo;keen drivers&raquo;. Den er kalt &laquo;GR Yaris&raquo; og yter 261 HK og vil koste nesten 600 000 kroner. Standardutgaven kan du f\u00e5 fra 260 &#8211; 280 000 kroner. Poenget er at en sm\u00e5bil som Yaris, ikke b\u00f8r koste for mye. Da forsvinner prisfordelen man f\u00e5r ved \u00e5 velge en mindre bil.
