Fords samarbeid med Volkswagen, derimot, danner en helt <strong>ny<\/strong> linje i Fords elbil-satsning.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<p>For 10 \u00e5r siden var Fords markedsandeler i personbilsalget p\u00e5 h\u00f8yde med Volkswagen og Toyota. I 2020 hadde Volkswagen 13,6% av personbilmarkedet mens Toyota hadde 9,1% (<a href=\"https:\/\/ofv.no\/registreringsstatistikk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>OFV.no<\/strong><\/a>). Ford endte opp med en markedsandel p\u00e5 bare 2,3%. Ford trenger virkelig en ny elbil, som Mustang Mach-E, for \u00e5 \u00e5 kapre st\u00f8rre markedsandeler. class=\"tebh2\">Focus Electric<\/h3>\n<p>Historisk sett har Ford bevist at de behersker elbil-teknologien. Ford Focus Electric var aldri noen d\u00e5rlig elbil &#8211; men kom sjelden s\u00e6rlig godt ut i biltester. Konseptet var det samme som e-Golf. Man tok en eksisterende fossil-modell og bygget om til elbil. Elmotor foran og batterier plassert under baksetet og i bagasjerommet. Fords st\u00f8rste feil var at de burde ha tilbudt hurtiglading mye tidligere. Det kom f\u00f8rst i 2017 sammen med oppgradert batteri p\u00e5 33,5 kwh. &laquo;Mangel p\u00e5 hurtiglading&raquo; hadde fulgt el-Focusen for lenge til at den oppgraderte modellen kunne sl\u00e5 an. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">S\u00e5 forsvant Fords elektrisitet<\/h3>\n<p>Det kunne virke som om herrene i Fords styrerom hadde besluttet seg for \u00e5 skrinlegge videre elbil-satsing. Kanskje de tolket det dithen at verden enn\u00e5 ikke var moden for elbiler? Salget av sedaner hadde lenge v\u00e6rt dalende i USA. Ikke p\u00e5 grunn av mangel p\u00e5 elbilmodell, men fordi stadig flere gikk over til pickup eller SUV. Summa summarum ble det ett fett for Ford. Men fra 2017 begynte markedsandelen \u00e5 falle i USA &#8211; ikke dramatisk &#8211; men en jevn nedgang p\u00e5 1,1% over 12 kvartaler. Source: Ford.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Duket for E-Transit<\/h3>\n<p>At Ford tapte markedsandeler i personbilsegmentet var ingen katastrofe s\u00e5 lenge salget av nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8yer holdt seg godt. Og det har det gjort &#8211; b\u00e5de i USA og i Norge. Corona-krisen har nemlig gitt gode vilk\u00e5r for varedistribusjon. I 2020 endte Ford som nummer 2 i antall solgte varebiler i Norge, bare sl\u00e5tt av Volkswagen. Til neste \u00e5r (2022) starter produksjonen av E-Transit samtidig i USA og Otosan, Tyrkia. E-Transit skal f\u00e5 76 kwh batteri og drivlinje fra Mustang Mach-E. I 2023 skal det komme en helelektrisk versjon av F-150, ogs\u00e5 den med drivlinjer fra Mach-E.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">En sammenhengende linje<\/h3>\n<p>Det finnes en sammenheng i Fords elbil-program fra Focus Electric til Mach-E. De nye drivlinjene basert p\u00e5 GE1 (Global Electrified 1), er faktisk en kraftig bearbeidet versjon av C2-plattformen fra Focus Electric. GE1 fremst\u00e5r som et vellykket samarbeid mellom Ford og batterifabrikanten LG Chem. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hvorfor har da Ford inng\u00e5tt et strategisk samarbeid med VAG?<\/h3>\n<p>Det mest \u00e5penbare kan v\u00e6re at Volkswagens MEB plattform (Modularer E-Antriebs-Baukasten) er lettere \u00e5 tilpasse mindre og lettere biler, som ID.3 og Focus &#8211; biler som om kort tid vil bli etterspurt p\u00e5 det tyske hjemmemarkedet. En annen viktig faktor er at Ford kan skaffe seg innpass i Volkswagen-gruppens batteriproduksjon. Ikke bare kan det sikre <em>tilgang<\/em> til battericeller, men ogs\u00e5 tilgang til moderne teknologi og produksjonsmetoder. Uansett vil produksjonen av Fords nye MEB baserte elbilserie skje ved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ford.de\/ueber-ford\/highlights-aktuelles\/electrification-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ford Cologne Electrification Center<\/strong><\/a> og etter hvert ogs\u00e5 i Saarlouis, hvor Focus Electric i sin tid ble produsert.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hvordan Fords MEB modell vil se ut<\/h3>\n<p>Bilpressen har allerede laget flere skisser. Blir det en forkortet versjon av dagens Mustang Mach-E? Kanskje vil den se ut som Ford Focus? Noen har ogs\u00e5 laget skisser basert p\u00e5 at den nye Forden f\u00e5r samme designspr\u00e5k som Volkswagens ID.3 og ID.4. Ford og Volkswagen har tidligere drevet med &laquo;badging&raquo; hvor samme bilmodell produseres som ulike merker.
