Et av de bilmerkene som bidro til dette var Citro\u00ebn.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Historien startet i 1919 da Andr\u00e9 Citro\u00ebn startet sin egen bilfabrikk. Med god erfaring fra annen industriproduksjon og flere studiebes\u00f8k hos andre bilprodusenter i USA l\u00e5 alt til rette og den f\u00f8rste modellen ble lansert i 1919. Den ble sv\u00e6rt godt mottatt siden den b\u00e5de var solid og velutstyrt og ga bilkj\u00f8perne god valuta for pengene. Nye modeller ble lansert samtidig som Citro\u00ebn som en av de f\u00f8rste bilprodusentene bygget ut et stort forhandlernett. Resultatet ble at fabrikken allerede 10 \u00e5r etter oppstart ble Frankrikes st\u00f8rste bilprodusent. Men ekspansjonen kostet og nye kapitalsterke eiere m\u00e5tte inn for \u00e5 avhjelpe den kritiske situasjonen. Det hjalp og den nyutviklede modellen Traction Avant kunne settes i produksjon. Modellen var i produksjon helt frem til 1957. I 1948 kom den nye lille modellen 2 CV som ble en favoritt blant den som ville ha en rimelig og ukomplisert bil. DS19 var en bil som var da den kom i 1955 var langt forut for sin tid. Citro\u00ebn Ami fra 1960 var ogs\u00e5 en modell med et noe spesielt utseende.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Men litt mer om Traction Avant<\/h3>\n<p>Som de andre bilmodellene fra Citro\u00ebn ble helt fra starten kjent for sine avanserte og fremtidsrettede l\u00f8sninger. Etter en altfor kjapp lansering i 1934 var modellen plaget av barnesykdommer i lengre tid. Men modellen ble fort sv\u00e6rt popul\u00e6r. Den hadde b\u00e5de moderne teknikk og design. Kj\u00f8reegenskapene var blant de aller beste blant datidens bilmodeller. Som den f\u00f8rste serieproduserte familiebil med forhjulsdrift fikk den selvf\u00f8lgelig mye oppmerksomhet fra media. Dessuten var den ogs\u00e5 en av de f\u00f8rste bilmodellene med selvb\u00e6rende karosseri. Citro\u00ebn lanserte flere varianter og hadde ogs\u00e5 planlagt en 8-sylindet modell men den ble bare produsert som prototyper. Men en kjapp modell med 6 sylindre kom p\u00e5 markedet i 1938. Etter krigen kom produksjonen i gang i 1946 men i begrenset antall siden biler for transport ble prioritert. En stor nyhet i 1952 var et st\u00f8rre bagasjerom. Men det var ikke mange endringer som kom og folk skj\u00f8nte at produksjonen av denne popul\u00e6re modellen n\u00e6rmet seg slutten.
