Audi 80 var en velkonstruert og vakker bil. Den scoret h\u00f8yt i datidens biltester, men solgte p\u00e5 langt n\u00e6r like godt som Ford og Opel. De mest popul\u00e6re bilene dette \u00e5ret var Volvo 140-serien, Ford Granada, Taunus, Saab 99 og Toyota Corolla. De som kj\u00f8pte Audi i 1977, kj\u00f8pte den trolig ikke p\u00e5 grunn av <em>status<\/em> &#8211; de var Audi-fans f\u00f8r Audi ble et coolt bilmerke.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Samlerverdi?<\/h3>\n<p>B1 var den f\u00f8rste i modellrekken som senere skulle bli A4. I 1977 het toppmodellen i Audis 80-serie &laquo;GTE&raquo;. Den ble kun levert i 2 d\u00f8rs variant og hadde en 1,6-litersmotor p\u00e5 110 HK. Det var en fin bil med aluminiumsfelger, dekorstriper og en liten frontspoiler. Men det ble ikke noen riktig &laquo;schwung&raquo; over Audi f\u00f8r Quattro-systemet kom. Det var i 1980 og da var det B2-karosseriet som ble brukt. Resultatene i motorsport ga Audi en boozt oppover p\u00e5 statusskalaen.
