VAGs TDI 110 HK kan bli en s\u00e5dan motor. Jeg testet den for to \u00e5r siden i en Seat Leon. Da var jeg imponert over drivstofforbruket og sp\u00e5dde at motoren kunne bli Volkswagen-gruppens nye &laquo;potetmotor&raquo;. Jeg synes det dr\u00f8yde lenge f\u00f8r den kom inn i modellprogrammet til Audi. Setene  kunne i beste fall karakteriseres som middelm\u00e5dige. De var kledt med et gr\u00e5aktig stoff som fikk nakkeh\u00e5rene til \u00e5 reise seg &#8211; i negativ betydning. Det samme stoffet gikk igjen i innertrekket p\u00e5 d\u00f8rene og p\u00e5 midtarmlenet. Her var det gjort f\u00e5 tilvalg som kunne gi den gode f\u00f8lelsen man vanligvis f\u00e5r i en ny Audi. Mye gr\u00e5 plastikk uten elegante dekorinnslag.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nGirspaken med S-tronic-merket, betjeningshjulet p\u00e5 midtkonsollen, betjeningshendlene p\u00e5 rattet, og infotainment-skjermen som dukker opp n\u00e5r jeg satte p\u00e5 tenninga, ga meg likevel nok signaler om at dette er premiumklasse &#8211; riktignok i basisversjon.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nUtvendig fikk jeg et bedre inntrykk. Blanke takrails, 16 tommers lettmetallsfelger, Xenon Plus og separate kj\u00f8relys. Det var ikke rush, men tett trafikk som beveget seg rundt fartsgrensen p\u00e5 80 km\/t. Rett som det var fikk vi litt harde oppbremsinger med p\u00e5f\u00f8lgende raske akselerasjoner. Jeg liker ikke \u00e5 kj\u00f8re p\u00e5 denne m\u00e5ten, men merket at ut\u00e5lmodige medtrafikanter forventet at jeg fulgte trafikken. Da merket jeg at Audien ikke greidde \u00e5 hente opp farten fort nok. Pandaen bak oss, kj\u00f8rte forbi. Litt irritert m\u00e5tte jeg vippe girspaken over til h\u00f8yre for \u00e5 gire ned manuelt. Det virket som om S-tronic&#8217;en gikk inn i en slags \u00f8ko-modus og n\u00f8lte med \u00e5 f\u00f8lge sj\u00e5f\u00f8rens u\u00f8konomiske kj\u00f8restil.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg er sikker p\u00e5 at den spanske bytrafikken m\u00e5 v\u00e6re et mareritt for tenkende girkasser som er programmert for \u00f8konomi. S-tronic har ingen \u00f8ko-innstilling. Det er &laquo;D&raquo; (normal) og &laquo;S&raquo; (sport). &laquo;S&raquo; synes jeg ble for masete. Etter hvert syntes jeg situasjonene oppsto sjeldnere. Kanskje motoren trengte litt innkj\u00f8ring? &#8211; Eller kanskje finmotorikken i h\u00f8yrefoten min ble bedre?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nLa meg tilf\u00f8ye at jeg er <em>godt<\/em> vant med S-tronic, da jeg regelmessig kj\u00f8rer en annen Audi med dette girsystemet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMed gassen i bunn, skjedde imidlertid alt som det skulle. Jeg dro fra stillest\u00e5ende opp til 100 km\/t noen ganger, og det skjedde helt uanstrengt. Det er ingen grunn til \u00e5 tvile p\u00e5 fabrikktallene som sier at 0-100 g\u00e5r unna p\u00e5 10,7 sekunder. Det er faktisk meget bra.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet fine bunndraget i motoren var tilgjengelig fra lave turtall, men i h\u00f8ye syd-europeiske motorvei-hastigheter forsvant dessverre mye av kraftoverskuddet. Jeg kunne ikke fri meg fra tanken p\u00e5 at den fine 110-hesteren kanskje hadde passet bedre i en mindre bil, &#8211; eller kanskje jeg forventet for mye fordi jeg kj\u00f8rte en Audi?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nA3&#8217;en l\u00e5 for \u00f8vrig sv\u00e6rt st\u00f8dig p\u00e5 veien, selv i motorvei-hastigheter med sterk vind. Vil du sitte godt i en Audi, m\u00e5 du bestille ordentlige seter fra tilleggslisten. Alle vet <em>det<\/em>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nStandardsetene er ganske myke, mens vangene er harde, slik at de gir bedre sidest\u00f8tte enn man skulle tro etter utseende \u00e5 d\u00f8mme. Jeg liker \u00e5 sitte lavt, slik at midtarmlenet gir behagelig st\u00f8tte. Det eneste jeg egentlig savnet, var litt bedre l\u00e5rst\u00f8tte.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nFor \u00f8vrig scorer Audi A3 bra p\u00e5 lydkomfort, i hvert fall i mine \u00f8rer. Jeg likte lydbildet av litt r\u00e5 diesel-motorlyd, spesielt n\u00e5r jeg ga gass i lave hastigheter. Ingen kakling, bare god dieselmotor-lyd. I Seaten, jeg testet tidligere, kunne jeg knapt h\u00f8re motoren. Jeg vet at Audi har egne ingeni\u00f8rer som jobber med lydopplevelser, og antar at det fine lydbildet ikke er tilfeldig.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI h\u00f8ye motorveihastigheter ble lybildet mer og mer preget av at man kj\u00f8rte en moderat motorisert bil. Forbruket var h\u00f8yere enn jeg opplevde tidligere med samme motor i en Seat Leon. I f\u00f8lge fabrikktallene skulle forbruket ha ligget p\u00e5 0,35 l\/mil p\u00e5 landevei og 0,45 i bykj\u00f8ring. Forbruket er tatt i betraktning av at mye av kj\u00f8ringen skjedde i motorveihastighet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nListeprisen p\u00e5 en A3 med TDI 110 HK S-tronic er 323 600. Det er ingen som kj\u00f8per ny Audi uten \u00e5 legge p\u00e5 tilleggsutstyr. Det jeg savnet mest p\u00e5 &laquo;min&raquo; A3, var oppgraderte seter, parkeringssensorer bak og navigasjon. Jeg ville ogs\u00e5 kostet p\u00e5 meg adaptiv fartsholder (\u20ac 340) og B&#038;O-anlegg (\u20ac 930). Har du f\u00f8rst f\u00e5tt det i bilen, vil du ikke ha noe annet. S-tronic, som er basert p\u00e5 Volkswagens DSG, er fortsatt verdens beste serieproduserte dobbeltclutch-system. Jeg synes den gjorde en god jobb med \u00e5 levere kreftene til veien, selv om den ved et par anledninger rotet seg inn i ett eller annen \u00f8ko-program.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nUansett hvordan man vrir og vender p\u00e5 det, s\u00e5 dreier det seg om et moderat motorisert drivverk stilt p\u00e5 sparebluss. Kanskje den mest fornuftige A3 du kan bestille. I de 11 dagene jeg hadde bilen, tilbrakte jeg mest tid p\u00e5 franske landeveier, selv om de fleste <em>milene<\/em> ble tilbakelagt p\u00e5 motorveier.
