Jeg hadde forventet mer &laquo;pondus&raquo; &#8211; p\u00e5 linje med Audi A6 og BMW 5-serie. Men det var f\u00f8r jeg h\u00f8rte motoren.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Det er V6 du m\u00e5 ha<\/h3>\n<p>Da Alfa Romeo 166 dukket opp som 1999-modell, kunne man velge Alfas 2-liter Twin-spark (rekkefirer) og 2,5 V6. Senere, fra 2001-modellen kunne man ogs\u00e5 velge 3,0 V6. Rimeligste sekser kostet da 562 000 kroner mens 2,0 TS kostet 419 000. Biltestere p\u00e5 den tiden mente at 2-literen ga bilen bedre kj\u00f8reegenskaper enn den langt tyngre V6-motoren. Etter krigen var han en tur innom Ferrari f\u00f8r han kom tilbake til Alfa Romeo. Busso utviklet motorene som la grunnlaget for mange av Alfaene vi kjenner i dag. Ett av hans mesterverk var V6-motoren som ble utviklet p\u00e5 70-tallet. Det ga opphavet til Alfas storbilserie &#8211; Alfa 6 &#8211; som ble lansert for modell\u00e5ret 1979. Alfa 6 ble med \u00e5rene avl\u00f8st av 164 &#8211; som igjen ble etterfulgt av 166. Alfa Romeo 166 ble den siste modell i rekken. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Fremtidig klassiker<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg har samlet noen bilder som jeg nylig har tatt av Alfa Romeo 166. Modellen er over 20 \u00e5r gammel. Det er n\u00e5 prisene er p\u00e5 sitt laveste punkt. I dag finnes det 312 eksemplarer i kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yregisteret, men nesten halvparten er allerede blitt forvandlet til spiker. Salgsmessig var 1999 topp\u00e5ret med 137 solgte biler. Senere ble det bare solgt et ubetydelig antall. Alfa 166 er i ferd med \u00e5 forsvinne fra veien. Ikke bare her. I tiden fremover vil arven etter Giuseppe Busso spille en viktig rolle, og det er da f\u00f8rst og fremst Busso-motorene 2,5 og 3,0 V6 som teller &#8211; og 3,2-literen som kom som tilvalg i 2003. Jeg tror nok at ogs\u00e5 2-liters rekkefireren med Twin-spark vil v\u00e6re med i fremtidige samlerbiler. Da fikk den et nytt motoralternativ &#8211; 3,2 liters V6 p\u00e5 240 HK &#8211; fremdeles basert p\u00e5 Bussos design. Visuelt fikk 166 en helt ny front. Etter manges mening s\u00e5nn modellen burde ha v\u00e6rt helt fra begynnelsen av. Walter de Silvas opprinnelige lave og nedtonede front markerer kileformen, men kunne virke i overkant anonym. I dag foretrekker jeg utseendet p\u00e5 serie 1-bilene. Jeg liker hvordan de \u00f8vre ytterkantene av frontlysene buer ned mot hjulene. T\u00f8ft uten \u00e5 v\u00e6re aggressivt. Dessuten er det mindre tidstypisk enn den nye &laquo;smilefronten&raquo;. Men dette handler selvf\u00f8lgelig om smak.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hva man skal se opp for<\/h3>\n<p>Alle har vel h\u00f8rt en eller annen historie om en stakkars Alfa-eier, for eksempel han som m\u00e5tte ut med motoren for \u00e5 skifte vifte til varmeapparatet, eller noe s\u00e5nt? Det er all grunn til \u00e5 v\u00e6re skeptisk hvis du vurderer \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe en 20 \u00e5r gammel Alfa Romeo med V6-motor og elektronisk styrt automatkasse. Reparasjoner vil lett overstige bilens verdi. Det essensielle er f\u00f8lgende:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regreim b\u00f8r byttes ved 60 000 km &#8211; alle modeller uansett hva serviceheftet sier.<\/li>\n<li>V6-motorene skal bruke olje. Det er antydet at 1 liter pr 1500 km er innenfor toleranse.<\/li>\n<li>Se opp for lekkasje fra klimaanlegget.
