Tidlig p\u00e5 50-tallet vant den flere bill\u00f8p, blant annet 24-timers l\u00f8pet p\u00e5 Le Mans i 1951 og 1953. Jaguar feirer med \u00e5 produsere 7 nye biler mens en annen C-type st\u00e5r i fare for \u00e5 bli destruert&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">H\u00e5ndlaget og eksklusiv<\/h3>\n<p>C-type var basert p\u00e5 XK-120 Roadster med 3,4 liters twin-cam rekkesekser. De ble opprinnelig kalt XK-120-C for <em>competition<\/em>. Modellen har st\u00e5lr\u00f8rsramme med aluminiumskarosseri. Rendyrket l\u00f8psbil. Aerodynamisk &#8211; men likevel stilig ned til minste detalj.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTotalt ble det produsert bare 53 eksemplarer av C-type inklusive de som ble brukt i l\u00f8p. Jaguar kommer neppe til \u00e5 gj\u00f8re C-type til en vanlig bil. Det skal nemlig kun produseres 7 biler &#8211; en for hver av de historiske l\u00f8psbilene. Hver bil skal h\u00e5ndlages av racing-teamet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecurieecosse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ecurie Ecosse<\/strong><\/a>. I 1952 innkasserte en av deres f\u00f8rere, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ian_Stewart_(racing_driver)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ian Stewart<\/strong><\/a>, en rekke seire med C-type. Dette skal markeres i 2022 med et spesielt arrangement. De nye bilene skal f\u00e5 en mild oppgradering. Blant annet skal rammen bygges litt bredere med lasersk\u00e5rede deler, motoren skal bygges p\u00e5 Jaguars 4,2-liter, og bremsene skal selvf\u00f8lgelig v\u00e6re up-to-date. For de aller fleste av oss blir Jaguars eksklusive l\u00f8psbil kun en dr\u00f8m. Prislappen er forel\u00f8pig satt til 1,3 millioner dollar &#8211; eller litt over 11 millioner norske kroner. Selv om du skulle hatt 11 mill tilgjengelig, kan du ikke regne med \u00e5 v\u00e6re blant de heldige.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Continuation modell vs. replika<\/h3>\n<p>Den nye C-type skal produseres som en s\u00e5kalt &laquo;continuation model&raquo;. De produseres fra originale tegninger og former, med tillatelse fra den opprinnelige produsenten. De kan b\u00e6re originale logoer og dekaler. Ford GT40 og Cobra er eksempler p\u00e5 vellykkede continuation modeller. De er ikke d\u00e5rligere enn originalene &#8211; tvert i mot. Dette som kontrast til <em>replika-modeller<\/em>. Enkelt fortalt kan en replika beskrives som en kopi som ikke m\u00e5 v\u00e6re <em>for<\/em> lik de originalt byggede bilene. De skal ikke utstyres med logoer og dekaler s\u00e5nn at de kan bli forvekslet med en &laquo;ekte&raquo; bil. Det svenske ekteparet Karl og Ann-Christine Magnusson har i over ti \u00e5r jobbet med et prosjekt for \u00e5 bygge en Jaguar C-type etter originale tegninger. Begge er Jaguar-entusiaster &#8211; eller &laquo;Jaguar-n\u00f8rd&raquo; som Karl beskriver seg selv. Etter hvert fikk de god kontakt med blant annet <em>Stuart Kilvington, sales and licensing manager hos Jaguar Land Rover Heritage<\/em>. Han stilte seg positiv til planene &#8211; ogs\u00e5 underveis da fotografier ble utvekslet. Karl ble ogs\u00e5 invitert over til England. Derfor kom det som en overraskelse at Jaguar Land Rover tok ekteparet til retten. Den 30. desember 2020 kom dommen. Saks\u00f8kte ble d\u00f8mt til \u00e5 betale over 5 millioner svenske kroner til JLR for omkostninger og skade. De ble ogs\u00e5 d\u00f8mt til \u00e5 destruere rammen i deres egenbygde C-type. Det er nemlig <em>rammen<\/em> som er kopibeskyttet.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Kan sette andre replikabyggere i fare<\/h3>\n<p>Hvis dommen blir st\u00e5ende, vil ekteparet kunne havne p\u00e5 bar bakke. I tillegg kan den strenge dommen sette tusenvis av andre replikabyggere i fare &#8211; uansett merke. Mange replikabyggere er dyktige amat\u00f8rer som bidrar til \u00e5 holde entusiasmen og merke-identiteten oppe uten \u00e5 tjene store penger. Det er derfor opprettet en innsamlingsaksjon for at ekteparet skal kunne anke dommen og f\u00f8re saken videre.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Feiring med bismak<\/h3>\n<p>Magnussons hevdet at de hadde f\u00e5tt n\u00f8dvendige bekreftelser fra Jaguar underveis, mens JLR mente at deres kontaktperson ikke hadde fullmakter.
