Tiden var knapp. De m\u00e5tte selge flere biler. Det gjorde de ved \u00e5 sette Saab-merker p\u00e5 andre modeller. Men de rakk \u00e5 lage en helt ny Saab ogs\u00e5.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2_first\">Delte teknologi med flere<\/h3>\n<p>Saab 9-5 med typebetegnelsen YS3G var mer amerikansk enn noensinne. Den delte plattform med Cadillac XTS og Buick LaCrosse. Opel Insignia hadde samme plattform men kortere akselavstand. GM \u00f8nsket \u00e5 styrke Saab&#8217;s popularitet ved \u00e5 profilere merket p\u00e5 linje med Cadillac. B\u00e5de Cadillac og Saab kunne leveres med GM&#8217;s 2,8 turbo V6-motor og Turbo4 2,0 T. Saab&#8217;s 2-litermotor var tilpasset E85 biofuel. I Europa kunne kundene ogs\u00e5 velge 1,6 T p\u00e5 180 HK og turbodiesel &#8211; TiD4 2,0D p\u00e5 160 HK eller twin-turbodiesel TTiD4 2,0D p\u00e5 190 HK &#8211; motorer som sannsynligvis stammer fra Isuzu. Saab&#8217;s firehjulssystem XWD (Cross Wheel Drive) var ogs\u00e5 mulig som tilvalg sammen med de st\u00f8rste motorene. XWD-systemet som ble installert i nye 9-5, var et Haldex-4 system med forbedret aktiv elektronisk differensialsperre (eLSD)<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ble ingen storselger i Skandinavia<\/h3>\n<p>Den nye generasjonen av Saab 9-5 slo ikke spesielt godt an i Norge &#8211; av flere \u00e5rsaker. Noen syntes kanskje at den nye 9-5 modellen var for dyr. Stasjonsvogna var enn\u00e5 ikke klar, og store sedaner var tungsolgte. Dessuten var det ingen hemmelighet at GM&#8217;s Saab-divisjon slet med r\u00f8de tall. Det ble ikke solgt mer enn 244 biler. Det gikk ikke s\u00e6rlig bedre i Sverige heller. Der ble det solgt 668 biler hvorav 628 fremdeles er p\u00e5 veien. Likevel greidde Saab \u00e5 rulle ut 11 280 biler i l\u00f8pet av de 12 m\u00e5nedene produksjonen varte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_36603\" sjelden man kommer over en Saab 9-5 NG. Men i det siste har jeg faktisk sett to forskjellige biler i daglig bruk. Begge TiD4 2,0D. Det er over 10 \u00e5r siden de f\u00f8rste bilene kom p\u00e5 veien. N\u00e5r jeg studerer dem med &laquo;nye&raquo; \u00f8yne, ser jeg at designet har holdt seg meget godt. I l\u00f8pet av disse \u00e5rene har vi blitt vant til store sedaner &#8211; riktignok med Tesla-logoer &#8211; ikke Saab. Men formen p\u00e5 9-5 ligner en tanke p\u00e5 Tesla S. Jeg synes den tar seg best ut fra siden og bakfra. Fronten ville nok ha f\u00e5tt en facelift hvis Saab fremdeles hadde eksistert.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Barnesykdommer<\/h3>\n<p><em>&laquo;Utrolig ergonometri<\/em>&laquo;, sier en amerikansk 9-5-eier etter nesten 10 \u00e5r med samme bil. Han forteller at XWD-systemet aldri har gitt et eneste hjulslipp. P\u00e5 minussiden klager han over &laquo;l\u00e6gg&raquo; i b\u00e5de motor og girkasse &#8211; GM&#8217;s 2,8 V6 med automat. Han nevner ogs\u00e5 barnesykdommene som &laquo;alle&raquo; eiere har m\u00e5ttet fikse p\u00e5 egen kappe etter konkursen. Bremselyset og lysstripen mellom baklysene som sviktet og som for lengst er utsolgt hos forhandlerne. Man kan heldigvis kj\u00f8pe ny-produserte deler p\u00e5 eBay. N\u00e5r batteriet begynner \u00e5 bli d\u00e5rlig, kan det dukke sporadiske feilmeldinger p\u00e5 skjermen som har skremt vettet av eierne. Infotainment-systemet er s\u00e5rbart. En liten teknisk feil kan skape mye tr\u00f8bbel. Eller n\u00e5r motoren stanser og ikke lar seg starte. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibilagare.se\/test\/langtest\/langtest-2011-tvarstopp-for-nya-saab-95-30127\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Teknikens V\u00e4rld<\/strong><\/a> opplevde stans med 2 forskjellige biler. Saab svarte at de trodde feilen l\u00e5 i bilens programvare.  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ingen garantier<\/h3>\n<p>Programvare kan med \u00e5rene bli vanskelig \u00e5 fikse n\u00e5r produsent og forhandlere er borte. Heldigvis finnes det mange som fremdeles kan mye om Saab. De deler gjerne erfaringer p\u00e5 sosiale medier. Gamle Saab-mekanikere m\u00f8ter ikke Saab-eiere med en kald skulder. Det gj\u00f8r at Saab kan leve lenge &#8211; ogs\u00e5 den nye 9-5-generasjonen. For det er liten tvil om at den raskt kan f\u00e5 status som samlerbil. <\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>\nLa oss g\u00e5 20 \u00e5r frem i tiden. Da vil alle Saab&#8217;er v\u00e6re veteranbiler. Vil alle biler med Saab-logo f\u00e5 samlerverdi? Neppe! Det ble nemlig ogs\u00e5 laget noen bastarder.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>\nFor \u00e5 sette det p\u00e5 spissen, s\u00e5 ble GM&#8217;s overtakelse av Saab en voldtekt av Saab&#8217;s sjel. Trollh\u00e4ttan ble styrt fra Opel i R\u00fcsselheim, som igjen fikk ordrer fra GM i Detroit. Saab har jo tidligere hatt samarbeid med andre bilprodusenter &#8211; uten \u00e5 miste sjela si, som for eksempel med italienske Lancia. Det samarbeidet resulterte i Saab 9000. Tidlig samarbeid med Opel medf\u00f8rte heller ingen st\u00f8rre skader p\u00e5 sjela. At den nye 900-modellen delte plattform med Vectra, skapte ingen sure miner. Det vakre karosseriet var jo tross alt utformet av nordmannen <a href=\"https:\/\/no.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Einar_J._Hareide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Einar Hareide<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; og motorene var i hovedsak svenske. Men p\u00e5 ett eller annet tidspunkt tok alt en annen vending. Skulle Saab eksistere som eget bilmerke, m\u00e5tte produksjonsvolumet \u00f8kes &#8211; raskt og mye! \u00d8konomenes tale var klar. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Virkemiddelet var re-badging<\/h3>\n<p>GM hadde drevet med dette i mange \u00e5r. Du tar en ferdig utviklet bil og bytter ut grill og logoer. Dermed kan du selge samme vare p\u00e5 forskjellige markeder eller forskjellige kundegrupper. Da ble Cadillac SRX mk2 re-badged til Saab 9-4X. Men Saabillac&#8217;en ble lansert like f\u00f8r Saab gikk konkurs. Derfor ble det bare solgt noen f\u00e5 hundre biler. Du kan lage din egen 9-4X. Det er bare \u00e5 skaffe en Opel Antara og en Saab-font.<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2_first\">N\u00e5r sluttet Saab \u00e5 v\u00e6re Saab?<\/h3>\n<p>For mange handler Saab om minner og f\u00f8lelser. Det er mange av oss som n\u00e6rmest vokste opp i baksetet p\u00e5 en Saab 96 innhyllet i tobakksr\u00f8yk fra forsetene. Vi tok de f\u00f8rste famlende kj\u00f8returene med ledsager i en Saab V4 &#8211; og dro land og strand rundt i svigerfars r\u00f8de Saab 99. For meg forsvant Saab-f\u00f8lelsen da Saab ble utstyrt med MultiJet dieselmotorer fra Fiat. Jeg er sikker p\u00e5 at noen sa det samme da Saab gikk over fra totaktere til Ford V4. Men \u00e9n ting tror jeg vi alle kan v\u00e6re enige om: <\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>\nSaabillac, Saabrolet og Saabaru m\u00e5 aldri f\u00e5 noen fremtredende plass i Saab&#8217;s historie!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Er nye 9-5 en ordentlig Saab?<\/h3>\n<p>Selv om tiden var knapp, ble ikke 9-5 NG noen re-badged Chevrolet eller Cadillac. Den ble utviklet p\u00e5 en en av GM&#8217;s mest brukte full-size plattformer. Den fikk motorer som var tilpasset Europa, blant annet 2 dieselmotorer og en motor som kunne g\u00e5 p\u00e5 E85 biofuel for \u00e5 tekkes svenske milj\u00f8entusiaster. Men ingen av motorene var svenske. XWD-systemet, derimot, var utvilsomt svensk. Det var ogs\u00e5 bilens designere. Det knytter bilen til Sverige. Det er <em>det<\/em> som gj\u00f8r at du kan plassere den ved en svensk &laquo;majst\u00e5ng&raquo; foran en &laquo;r\u00f6d stuga&raquo; og hevde at det er en svensk bil. N\u00e5r man studerer de miserable &laquo;re-badgingene&raquo; kan man jo tenke med skrekk og gru&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8211; det kunne ha v\u00e6rt mye verre!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure
