Som regel g\u00e5r det jo bra, men av og til om vinteren skjer det med hjertet i halsen. &laquo;Typisk norsk&raquo;, vil jeg si. Jeg stiller meg nysgjerrig til om Suzuki-import\u00f8rens slagord stemmer. De hevder nemlig at Suzuki er skapt for norske forhold.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVel, turen gikk verken over fjord og fjell &#8211; eller p\u00e5 isf\u00f8re. Etter en uke med hjemmekontor var det herlig \u00e5 plukke opp \u00e9n av de nye Suzuki&#8217;ene <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyre.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Hyre.no<\/strong><\/a> har plassert rundt i Oslo. Ukens s\u00f8ndagsutflukt fortsatte i en flunkende ny Suzuki S-Cross med firehjulstrekk.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Veldig stramt understell, tenkte jeg. Det er McPherson oppheng foran og torsjonsfj\u00e6rer bak. Veldig mye strammere enn jeg forventet. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Godt veigrep<\/h3>\n<p>S-Cross&#8217;en t\u00e5ler \u00e5 dra hardt gjennom skarpe svinger &#8211; uten \u00e5 miste veigrep, &#8211; med minimal krengning. Husk at effekten av firehjulstrekket gis ved gassp\u00e5drag. Under vanskelige kj\u00f8reforhold m\u00e5 du kj\u00f8re s\u00e5nn at du kan gi gass gjennom svingen. G\u00f8y. Man h\u00f8rer at understellet jobber, men bilen sitter likevel som en klegg p\u00e5 veien. Prisen for det harde understellet er at sm\u00e5 ujevnheter, som asfaltskj\u00f8ter og lignende, forplanter seg inn i kupeen. Bilbransjen har brukt mange fjollete slagord gjennom tidene, men Suzuki har et poeng. Mye t\u00f8ffere. Mer maskulint. N\u00e5r jeg ser n\u00e6rmere etter, er den aggressive grillen med vertikale kromtenner bare en <em>facelift<\/em>. Jeg liker fronten godt. T\u00f8ff i trynet, uten fare for \u00e5 bli forvekslet med Audi eller BMW.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDen viktigste delen av faceliften skjedde imidlertid under panseret. Dagens 1,4 liters BoosterJet med 6-trinns automat passer bedre til en SUV, enn den sl\u00f8ve selvaspirerende 1,6-literen. Den nye motoren har 20 hester mer &#8211; og med 140 HK og godt turbo-dreiemoment, f\u00f8les den kvikk, samtidig som det er mulig \u00e5 kj\u00f8re p\u00e5 langbente gir. Men start fra stilleg\u00e5ende endte ofte med et ufrivillig rykk &#8211; uansett hvor forsiktig jeg var med gassen. Jeg vet ikke om det var fordi motoren var helt ny, eller om det var automatkassa? S\u00e5nt kaster et uraffinert, billig preg over et ellers godt drivverk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Mer Budget enn Premium<\/h3>\n<p>Det <em>er<\/em> et klart billigpreg over S-Cross &#8211; selv om den topputstyrte GLX-utgaven har alt relevant utstyr, med blant annet skinnseter og panorama soltak. Innvendig kan det ikke skjules at designet stammer fra 2013, \u00e5ret da modellen opprinnelig ble introdusert.<\/p>\n<p>At Suzuki ikke befinner seg i premiumklassen, betyr ikke at bilene er d\u00e5rlige. Det er n\u00e6rliggende \u00e5 sammenligne &laquo;v\u00e5r&raquo; S-Cross med Audi Q2 som vi kj\u00f8rte p\u00e5 vinterf\u00f8re noen uker tidligere. Den er utvilsomt premium og ser veldig flott ut. Men med 2-hjulsdrift oppf\u00f8rte den seg middelm\u00e5dig p\u00e5 glatta &#8211; og ville v\u00e6rt sjansel\u00f8s i \u00e5 hevde seg med en firehjulstrekker som S-Cross. Skulle man ha bestilt firehjulstrekk i Audi&#8217;en, ville det ha kostet over 150 000 mer enn &laquo;v\u00e5r&raquo; Suzuki.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">P\u00e5 veien<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg tar turen vestover og s\u00f8rover mot Slemmestad. Bak rattet danner jeg meg forskjellige inntrykk. Jeg registrerte tidlig at styref\u00f8lelsen er frav\u00e6rende, spesielt rundt midtstillingen. Det er irriterende \u00e5 m\u00e5tte &laquo;gjete&raquo; bilen hele tiden i stedet for \u00e5 la den f\u00f8lge sitt naturlige spor. Motoren g\u00e5r bra og automatkassa skifter fint. Jeg velger mellom &laquo;Auto&raquo; og &laquo;Sport&raquo; kj\u00f8remodus. &laquo;Auto&raquo; fungerer best for meg. &laquo;Sport&raquo; girer straks ned ett hakk, og kan v\u00e6re bra \u00e5 ha n\u00e5r man forbereder en rask forbikj\u00f8ring. Man kan ogs\u00e5 gire med paddlene p\u00e5 rattet. St\u00f8ymessig h\u00f8rer man praktisk talt ingen ting til motoren. Bagasjerommet rommer anstendige 430 liter under hattehyllen. Med lastegitter mot kupeen (anbefalt ekstrautstyr), kan man laste opp til taket. For \u00f8vrig har bakseteryggene to stillinger for lutning, s\u00e5nn at man kan skape et mer kasseformet bagasjerom og fremdeles bruke hele baksetet. Det er rikelig med plass i forsetene. De er uvanlig harde i stoppen, men f\u00f8les ikke ukomfortable. Jeg kunne beh\u00f8ve litt mer st\u00f8tte i skulderh\u00f8yde for langkj\u00f8ring, men antar at setene passer bedre for personer som er lavere enn meg.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sikkerhet<\/h3>\n<p>Suzuki SX4 S-Cross ble testet i 2013 av Euro NCAP. Det var modellen f\u00f8r facelift som ble testet da. Den hadde verken avstandsvarsler eller automatisk n\u00f8dstopp &#8211; noe den nye modellen har. S-Cross kom gjennom testene med 5\/5 stjerner. Totalscore for beskyttelse av voksne ble 92% og for barn 80%. Testene ble utf\u00f8rt uten kritiske resultater &#8211; kun &laquo;Good&raquo; og &laquo;Adequate&raquo;. M\u00e5ling av whiplash-skader endte med beste karakter. Flere av testprosedyrene, blant annet for barn, er n\u00e5 endret. Audi Q2 fikk 93% for voksne og 86% for barn, da <em>den<\/em> ble testet i 2016.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSuzuki&#8217;ens 4-hjulstrekk bidrar til \u00e5 forhindre ulykker &#8211; s\u00e5kalt <em>aktiv sikkerhet<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Konklusjon<\/h3>\n<p>Suzuki SX4 S-Cross&#8217; beste argumenter er at den gir skikkelig veigrep med 4-hjulstrekk og plassforhold som duger for en familie &#8211; til en pris f\u00e5 kan konkurrere med. Den fremst\u00e5r som solid og praktisk. Klassemessig er den mer <em>Budget<\/em> enn <em>Premium<\/em>.
