Flere var ogs\u00e5 i kj\u00f8pemodus, &#8211; helt vanlige folk som deg og meg. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Blant superbiler til 10-talls millioner kroner befant det seg ogs\u00e5 rimelige biler. For eksempel et komplett 1968 Mini Cooper-prosjekt &#8211; skogsvrak &#8211; estimert til 100 000 kroner. Billig? Den var s\u00e5 omsvermet at det faktisk var vanskelig \u00e5 komme inntil for \u00e5 se. Mye jobb, men utvilsomt klassisk. Klassisk var ogs\u00e5 en 1992 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4&#215;4 med garanterte 28000 miles p\u00e5 telleren til 480 000 kroner. Den er verdt \u00e5 se p\u00e5 grunn av spektakul\u00e6r kj\u00f8ring med Land Rover. James Bond er ogs\u00e5 en hyllest til Aston Martins legendariske DB5. Olympia-hallen mellom Earls Court og Kensington har hatt mange flotte Aston Martins utstilt gjennom \u00e5rene. Jeg er fascinert av DB4 og DB5. I UK kan man f\u00e5 <em>mye<\/em> Range Rover for samme pris, men ville neppe vekke like mye oppsikt n\u00e5r du parkerer foran pub&#8217;en.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2bigger\">Godseierens favoritt<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg kan nesten ikke huske sist jeg s\u00e5 en 3-d\u00f8rs Range Rover, &#8211; bilene som ble laget for engelske godseiere. Range Rover mk1 hadde en type aristokratisk overlegenhet som ingen andre biler fra samme tidsepoke hadde. Husk at dette var lenge f\u00f8r firehjulsdrevne SUV&#8217;er ble allemannseie. P\u00e5 \u00e5rets <em>London Classic Car Show<\/em> var det utstilt to helt unike 70-talls Range Rover&#8217;e. Jeg fikk studere dem p\u00e5 n\u00e6rt hold. I dag virker de veldig primitive &#8211; men ikke uten klasse. Hvorfor er de s\u00e5 sjeldne i dag? Det var faktisk en <em>engelskmann<\/em> som ga meg svaret. De f\u00f8rste bilene ble jo produsert av utskjelte <em>British Leyland<\/em> midt i deres aller verste tidsepoke. Tenk deg at boksermotoren bak ble byttet med en elmotor og bensintanken foran erstattet av batterier? Driftssikkerheten ville sikkert bli helt super, men folkevogn-lyden ville v\u00e6re borte. Likes\u00e5 lukten av varm motor og bensin som ofte fyller neseborene inne i kup\u00e9en. Jeg vil ikke avvise at el-konvertering kan ha noe for seg p\u00e5 visse modeller, for eksempel <em>bobler og folkevognbusser<\/em>. Langt verre var det \u00e5 se en str\u00f8ken Triumph Stag f\u00e5 stukket en Type 2 ladekabel inn der hvor bensinen skulle v\u00e6rt fylt p\u00e5. Jeg er redd for at ettertiden vil betegne dette som <em>skadeverk<\/em>. Interessant, men dyrt. Regn med 25 000 GBP i tillegg til \u00f8vrig restaureringsarbeid.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2bigger\">Paul Stephens<\/h3>\n<p>Navnet tilh\u00f8rer ikke bare en mann besatt av Porsche, men er ogs\u00e5 et merkenavn. Firmaet bygger og renoverer klassiske Porscher med h\u00f8y perfeksjon &#8211; h\u00f8yt oppe p\u00e5 prisskalaen. Det som tok pusten fra meg, var 911&#8217;ene med Paul Stephens egen logo p\u00e5 panseret &#8211; alts\u00e5 ikke solgt som Porsche 964 eller 993 eller s\u00e5nt. Det handler om eget merke og egne modellbetegnelser under avdelingen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paul-stephens.com\/autoart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>AutoArt<\/strong><\/a>. Bilene er bygget opp fra &laquo;clean metal&raquo; etter egne spesifikasjoner. De er fantastisk stilfulle i en slags funksjonell, harmonisk enkelhet. Alt er gjennomf\u00f8rt ned til minste detalj. En nytelse for \u00f8yet. Dette er biler du kan kj\u00f8pe \u00e5 beholde resten av livet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nHusk at du kan klikke p\u00e5 alle bildene for \u00e5 se dem i st\u00f8rre format.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure
