Vi har kj\u00f8rt nyeste utgave. &#8211; Blir det den siste, tro?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Det er <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/bmw\/i3\/107437\/bmw-i3-electric-car-may-not-be-replaced\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Auto Express<\/strong><\/a> som f\u00f8rst offentliggjorde nyheten. En toppsjef i BMW har uttalt at de kanskje ikke kommer til \u00e5 videref\u00f8re BMWs &laquo;i&raquo;-serie. De vurdererer \u00e5 bruke &laquo;i&raquo;-teknologien i eksistende modeller. Vil i3 g\u00e5 over i historien som et pionerprosjekt?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Fremst\u00e5r som uendret<\/h3>\n<p>Bak rattet p\u00e5 en helt ny BMW i3 forundret jeg meg over at den fortsatt ser nesten prikk lik ut som den gjorde, da den ble lansert som 2014-modell. Jeg likte den da, og jeg liker den n\u00e5 &#8211; ikke minst fordi batterikapasiteten n\u00e5 er dobbelt s\u00e5 h\u00f8y. Rekkevidden har ogs\u00e5 doblet seg. Utvendig er det kun mindre kosmetiske endringer. P\u00e5 teknologisiden noterte jeg meg adaptiv cruise control og forbedret infotainment-system. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Milj\u00f8vennlig fra starten av<\/h3>\n<p>BMW i3 er ikke som andre biler &#8211; p\u00e5 godt og vondt. Da BMW utviklet i-serien, \u00f8nsket de \u00e5 skape noe nytt og annerledes. Ved \u00e5 bruke karbonforsterket plast og aluminium greidde BMW \u00e5 skape en elbil som ikke veier mer enn en vanlig bensinbil p\u00e5 samme st\u00f8rrelse. Renault Zoe veier til sammenligning 200 kg mer, Volkswagen e-Golf 300 kg mer, og Hyundai Kona 400 kg mer. Dette er faktorer som har bidratt til at i3 ser ut som den gj\u00f8r. Deler av innredningen er visstnok basert p\u00e5 gjenvunnede plastflasker. Cw-verdien ligger p\u00e5 0,29. Det er ikke best i klassen, men anstendig for en h\u00f8ybygd sm\u00e5bil.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Gir premiumf\u00f8lelse<\/h3>\n<p>Det h\u00f8ybygde karosseriet gir god romf\u00f8lelse. Innredningen oppleves fremdeles som futuristisk. Alt du tar p\u00e5, gir kvalitetsf\u00f8lelse. Rattet, for eksempel, er mykt og godt \u00e5 holde i. Stilen innvendig virker skandinavisk og n\u00f8ktern. Man f\u00e5r f\u00f8lelsen av \u00e5 sitte &laquo;p\u00e5&raquo; setene, i stedet for &laquo;i&raquo; &#8211; med overraskende god st\u00f8tte. H\u00f8yverdige og fargeavstemte materialer bidrar til at man f\u00f8ler seg vel. Motoren er uendret fra 2014. 170 HK f\u00f8les helt ideelt for denne bilen. Batteripakken ligger flatt mellom akslingene. P\u00e5 veien oppf\u00f8rer i3 seg som et h\u00f8ybygd og lett kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y uten s\u00e6rlige sportslige ambisjoner. Jeg liker m\u00e5ten den setter seg litt nedp\u00e5 bak n\u00e5r jeg gir gass gjennom svingene. Jeg merket for \u00f8vrig at kombinasjonen smale dekk og bakhjulstrekk av og til kan medf\u00f8re uvant oppf\u00f8rsel, for eksempel p\u00e5 vei med piggdekkspor. Jeg liker styref\u00f8lelsen &#8211; hvordan veikontakten formidles til rattet. Dette er typisk for BMW, og en av egenskapene som gj\u00f8r i3 morsom \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Bisarre dekkdimensjoner<\/h3>\n<p>Det anbefales \u00e5 kun velge anerkjente dekk til sin i3 &#8211; dekk som din BMW-forhandler anbefaler. Det finnes eksempler p\u00e5 at for myk gummiblanding kan f\u00e5 antiskrenskontrollen til \u00e5 sl\u00e5 inn under normal kj\u00f8ring. Det samme kan skje hvis dekktrykket ikke er korrekt. Antiskrenskontrollen er p\u00e5 grensen til \u00e5 v\u00e6re overf\u00f8lsom og griper inn tidlig, noe man lett merker p\u00e5 vinterf\u00f8re. Standard dekkdimensjon er 155\/75R19, mens &laquo;v\u00e5r&raquo; i3 sto p\u00e5 155\/60R20 foran og 175\/55R20 bak. Jeg har kj\u00f8rt i3 med begge dimensjoner og opplevde egentlig liten forskjell. Begge f\u00f8ltes ganske myke (mye gummi). Dekkene med lavest profil, gir et noe skarpere lydbilde, spesielt i hastigheter over 80 km\/t. Vakre 20&#8243; felger av typen Double-Spoke 430.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Kj\u00f8rer med \u00e9n pedal<\/h3>\n<p>En av i3&#8217;s store fordeler er at man kan gasse og bremse med samme pedal. Slipper du pedalen br\u00e5tt opp, bremser den kraftigere enn om du l\u00f8fter gassfoten forsiktig. Konseptet er genialt fordi den gjenvinner all regenerativ bremsekraft &#8211; umiddelbart. P\u00e5 biler med mulighet for \u00e5 styre regenerativ bremsing <em>manuelt<\/em>, kan man kombinere bremsing og frirulling. Begge deler er viktig for \u00e5 f\u00e5 flest mulig kilometer ut av batteriene. Jeg savnet \u00e5 kunne la bilen rulle fritt uten motorkraft, men antar at BMW har tenkt p\u00e5 dette. Uansett skal BMW&#8217;s \u00e9n-pedal-l\u00f8sning v\u00e6re mer \u00f8konomisk enn manuell betjening. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Comfort vs. Eco Pro<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg foretrekker \u00e5 kj\u00f8re i &laquo;Comfort&raquo; kj\u00f8rem\u00f8nster, men byttet litt til &laquo;Eco Pro&raquo;. Det g\u00e5r helt fint \u00e5 kj\u00f8re i &laquo;Eco Pro&raquo;. Den reduserer blant annet klimasystemet og ventilasjonen &#8211; og kanskje effekten litt, ogs\u00e5. I f\u00f8lge rekkevidde-m\u00e5leren er det mye \u00e5 spare p\u00e5 \u00e5 sl\u00e5 av A\/C og vifte, men jeg vil gjerne styre dette selv. Det strengeste spareprogrammet, &laquo;Eco Pro+&raquo;, ville jeg bare valgt under akutt str\u00f8mkrise. Den reduserer effekten drastisk og kutter motorkraft n\u00e5r hastigheten overskrider 80 km\/t. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Rekkevidde<\/h3>\n<p>For elbiler er rekkevidde alfa omega. Gleden over gode seter, hyggelig interi\u00f8r og kj\u00f8reegenskaper svinner fort hvis rekkevidden er d\u00e5rlig. Jeg har tidligere kj\u00f8rt 2014-modellen ganske langt ned p\u00e5 str\u00f8m noen ganger. Det f\u00f8les ikke utrygt, ettersom man kan stole p\u00e5 rekkevidde-m\u00e5leren, &#8211; som noen kaller for &laquo;gjett-o-meteret&raquo;. Jeg har ikke testet rekkevidden i 120 Ah-modellen, men har likevel en formening om hvor den praktiske rekkevidden ligger. Da hadde bilens eier startet p\u00e5 324 km og kj\u00f8rt 139 km hovedsakelig p\u00e5 landevei. Eieren har hatt i3&#8217;er siden 2014 og vet godt hvordan man kan strekke rekkevidden. Hadde hun fortsatt turen sin denne t\u00f8rre og varme septemberdagen, kunne hun fint ha kj\u00f8rt 300 km f\u00f8r lading. Selv kj\u00f8rte jeg 50 km med flere stopp og soltaket oppe nesten hele tiden. Elbil og soltak gir h\u00f8y trivselsfaktor, men trekker rekkevidden ned. 250 km landeveiskj\u00f8ring skulle g\u00e5 fint uten spesielt fokus p\u00e5 forbruk. For mitt vedkommende ville det rukket non-stop opp til hytta i Gudbrandsdalen. Men neppe p\u00e5 kalde vinterdager. Da kan rekkevidden bli redusert med mellom 30-50%.  Regn derfor med \u00e5 lade mellom 150-200 km p\u00e5 vinterf\u00f8re.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Lading<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg ladet fra 60% til 100% p\u00e5 2 timer og 6 minutter med husets private vegglader p\u00e5 7,2 KW. Lademengden tilsvarer en rekkevidde\u00f8kning p\u00e5 139 km &#8211; eller vel 70 km pr ladetime. Det er bra! Langs veien kan du greie deg ganske fint med \u00e5 lade fra 22 KW-uttakene via Type 2 kabelen fremfor \u00e5 bruke hurtigladerne som det ofte er rift om. Du kan ogs\u00e5 hurtiglade med 50 KW CCS-kontaktene. Da kan bilen lades opp til 80% p\u00e5 45 minutter under sommerlige temperaturer. Andre elbiler kan n\u00e5 lade fra 100 KW og 150 KW ladestasjoner, men de hurtigladerne er ikke s\u00e5 utbredt &#8211; i hvert fall ikke der jeg ferdes. De fleste hurtigladerne gir &laquo;bare&raquo; 50 KW.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Plass<\/h3>\n<p>Selv om kupeen gir god romslighetsf\u00f8lelse, er plassutnyttelsen ganske d\u00e5rlig. Utvendig er den p\u00e5 st\u00f8rrelse med Renault Zoe, men <em>den<\/em> har 5 seter &#8211; ikke 4 &#8211; og tar 78 liter mer bagasje enn i3. Baksetet i i3 er best beregnet p\u00e5 lave personer, og kunne fint ha rommet 3 barn. Det er lett \u00e5 sl\u00e5 ned ett eller to bakseter og \u00f8ke lasterommet. Det finnes et kn\u00f8ttlite bagasjerom under panseret foran, ogs\u00e5. Det ble blant annet notert at i3 den gangen ikke hadde moderne sikkerhetsassistanse-programmer, som for eksempel adaptiv cruise control og n\u00f8dstans under 30 km\/t. Den st\u00f8rste innvendingen var imidlertid svak nakkebeskyttelse for baksetepassasjerene. Testdukkene ble etter testen bed\u00f8mt som &laquo;marginal&raquo; i forhold til overlevelsesevne.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) har ogs\u00e5 testet BMW i3 &#8211; 2017-modellen. De kom frem til samme konklusjon. Det er uvisst om BMW har forsterket beskyttelsen for baksetepassasjerene p\u00e5 sine nye modeller.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iihs.org\/ratings\/vehicle\/bmw\/i3-4-door-hatchback\/2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Les resultatet av IIHS sin test av 2017 BMW i3 her<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Konklusjon<\/h3>\n<p>Gjennom &laquo;i&raquo;-serien har BMW bevist at de behersker moderne batteriteknologi og er med i kappl\u00f8pet om elbilmarkedet. Bilene fra 2014 ruller fremdeles rundt p\u00e5 veiene. Det har de gjort uten problemer. BMW i3 oppleves fremdeles som futuristisk og spesiell. Den er morsom \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. \u00c9n-pedal-l\u00f8sningen gj\u00f8r bilen ekstremt lettkj\u00f8rt. Jeg er sikker p\u00e5 at om alle hadde mulighet til \u00e5 kj\u00f8re med \u00e9n pedal, ville trafikkflyten blitt vesentlig forbedret.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI tillegg til \u00e9n-pedals-kj\u00f8ring har BMW utviklet spesielle l\u00f8sninger for \u00e5 \u00f8ke rekkevidden, for eksempel ved \u00e5 ta i bruk nye materialer for \u00e5 redusere vekt og bruke smale dekk med lav rullemotstand. Men utviklingen innen batteriteknologi gj\u00f8r s\u00e5nne tiltak overfl\u00f8dige. Man kan sammenligne med datamaskiner. I dag har ingen fokus p\u00e5 <em>diskplass<\/em> eller <em>b\u00e5ndbredde<\/em>. Disse tingene representerer ikke lenger noen beskrantninger. Etter hvert som bilprodusentene kan levere &laquo;tilstrekkelig&raquo; batterikapasitet, vil ikke vekt, luft- og rullemotstand bety like mye som tidligere. Derfor er jeg redd for at ryktene om at &laquo;i&raquo;-serien forsvinner fra BMW-sortimentet, kan v\u00e6re sanne. Om noen \u00e5r vil &laquo;i&raquo;-teknologien trolig finne veien inn i vanlige BMW-modeller. Kanskje en 2-serie med avblendet grill?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSkulle jeg \u00f8nsket meg noe mer av i3, m\u00e5tte det v\u00e6re enda bedre batterikapasitet. Da kan jeg kj\u00f8re til hytta i Gudbrandsdalen uten ladepause &#8211; b\u00e5de sommer og vinter.
