Ikke er den spesielt vakker, ikke spesielt billig, &#8211; og hvor ble det av hydrogenstasjonene i Oslo? Likevel er det noe ved Mirai som tiltaler meg. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Camry i bunnen<\/h3>\n<p>Mirai deler understell, elmotor og hybridkomponenter med Camry hybrid  XV50 (2012-2015). Akselavstanden er den samme som i Camry, men for \u00e5 f\u00e5 plass til brennstoffceller, hydrogentanker og batteripakke, er overhengene foran og bak \u00f8kt. Designerne av Toyotas f\u00f8rste serieproduserte hydrogenbil fikk ikke frie t\u00f8yler. Kanskje kunne de ha bygget hydrogendrift inn i eksisterende Camry, men hvor klokt er det \u00e5 innf\u00f8re ny spissteknologi i en gammel vinner? Hva skjuler seg under den store midtkonsollen mellom baksetene? Etter \u00e5 ha studert bilder og filmsnutter fra ulike faser i produksjonen kan jeg ikke se noen vitale deler der. Svaret finner vi i arven fra Camry. Mirai har nemlig ogs\u00e5 arvet Camry&#8217;s totalvekt. Utstyrt for hydrogendrift t\u00e5ler bilen rett og slett ikke vekten av fem voksne.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDe skinnkledte baksetene gir f\u00f8rsteklasses komfort. Jeg ville ikke hatt noe i mot \u00e5 blitt kj\u00f8rt hjem i en Mirai Taxi, men dessverre blir mangel p\u00e5 plass &#8211; og begrensninger i vekt &#8211; et hinder for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re suksess i drosjen\u00e6ringen. Synd, for komfort er faktisk ett av Mirai&#8217;s sterkeste kort. P\u00e5 17 tommers piggfrie Nokian vinterdekk g\u00e5r bilen bokstavelig talt helt lydl\u00f8st innenfor by-fartsgrensene. Camry ville neppe ha v\u00e6rt blant USA&#8217;s topp tre bilmodeller over en \u00e5rrekke hvis ikke understellet leverte en komfortabel &laquo;ride&raquo;. Det nyter Mirai godt av.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hvilke signaler sender Mirai?<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg nevnte at det er noe ved Mirai som tiltaler meg. Fronten virker en tanke vulg\u00e6r med sine store luftinntak og vertikale linjer. Jeg synes de harmonerer d\u00e5rlig med  de aerodynamiske, smekre linjene som ellers fremkommer i sideprofil. Ved overgangen mellom bakskjerm og bakstykke finnes det tilsvarende vertikale linjer. Disharmonien i linjene, om man kan kalle det <em>det<\/em>, bidrar ogs\u00e5 til \u00e5 gi bilen et t\u00f8ft og funksjonelt preg. Man kan sikkert forsvare de vulg\u00e6re luftinntakene ved at brenselceller trenger mye oksygen og tilsynelatende mye kj\u00f8ling, ogs\u00e5.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nS\u00e5 hva er det som tiltaler meg? Jeg liker biler som skiller seg ut, som har s\u00e6rpreg og som ikke er alt for vanlige. Man kunne tro at Mirai ser ut som den <wm>gj\u00f8r<\/em>, fordi den g\u00e5r p\u00e5 hydrogen. Det var kanskje designernes hensikt? Andre hydrogendrevne biler, som for eksempel Hyundai ix35, ser jo ut som en helt vanlig ix35. Nye Hyundai Nexo Fuel Cell ser ogs\u00e5 ganske normal ut. Mirai, derimot, skiller seg ut.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMirai&#8217;s CW-verdi er 0,29. Det er som en vanlig, god familiebil. Velger du feil teknologi, kan du f\u00e5 problemer med \u00e5 selge bilen din i fremtiden. Antall hydrogenstasjoner er dessverre g\u00e5tt ned. I dag tror jeg at Oslo-omr\u00e5dets eneste hydrogenstasjon ligger p\u00e5 Kj\u00f8rbo i Sandvika. Med oppgitt rekkevidde p\u00e5 550 km, b\u00f8r du ikke kj\u00f8re mer enn 400-450 km mellom hver fylling. Dermed egner ikke hydrogenbiler seg til all type kj\u00f8ring. Hydrogen er utvilsomt &laquo;feil teknologi&raquo;, i hvert fall i dag. Du b\u00f8r derfor ikke <em>kj\u00f8pe<\/em> hydrogenbil, men heller lease eller leie. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bilkollektivet.no\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bilkollektivet<\/strong><\/a> hadde tidligere Mirai i sin bilpark, men har m\u00e5ttet slutte med det p\u00e5 grunn av problemer med \u00e5 finne hydrogenstasjoner. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ingen storselger<\/h3>\n<p>I l\u00f8pet av de siste m\u00e5nedene kan det se ut som om nye Tesla 3 er i ferd med \u00e5 ta USA med storm, spesielt i California, naturligvis. I januar (2019) ble det solgt 6 500 Tesla 3 i USA. Samme tid ble det solgt 77 Toyota Mirai og 35 Hyundai Nexo. Det skal finnes cirka 31 hydrogenstasjoner i California. I resten av USA finnes nesten ingen. I Norge er registreringsnummer HY10340 nylig gitt ut. Et raskt s\u00f8k viser at mange nummerserier er ubenyttet, s\u00e5 antall hydrogenbiler p\u00e5 veien i dag er <em>ikke<\/em> 340. Jeg vil anta at det reelle antallet er halvparten. Det ble registrert 134 hydrogenbiler i 2016 og 2017.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nHydrogen er ideelt for tjenestebiler som mer eller mindre er i konstant drift, &#8211; eller i konstant beredskap. Salget vil neppe \u00f8ke f\u00f8r man begynner \u00e5 se et nettverk av hydrogenstasjoner. Fortsatt avgiftslette, nullutslipp og mulighet til \u00e5 <em>tanke<\/em> i stedet for \u00e5 lade, er gode argumenter for hydrogen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>Hydrogenbiler er neppe bare et blaff. Visjoner om \u00e5 f\u00e5 hele bilparken over p\u00e5 nullutslipp kan nemlig ikke gjennomf\u00f8res med ensidig satsning p\u00e5 elbiler, verken i Norge eller i verden for \u00f8vrig.
