Jeg m\u00e5 \u00e6rlig innr\u00f8mme at for en mann som er oppvokst med flotte biler som PV og Amazon, er det alltid en spesiell f\u00f8lelse \u00e5 sette seg inn bak rattet i en Volvo. Skj\u00f8nt V60 er langt fra noe retro-design. En moderne bil som utfordrer Audi A4 og BMW&#8217;s 3-serie.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg l\u00f8ftet setet litt i h\u00f8yden, justerte setevinkelen separat og seteryggen trinnl\u00f8st. Korsryggst\u00f8tten var perfekt. Det skulle bare mangle at jeg med mine 1,88 i h\u00f8yden og 46 i sko ikke skulle finne en komfortabel kj\u00f8restilling. Dette er tross alt en Volvo bygd p\u00e5 Volvos fabrikk i Torslanda &#8211; for storvokste nordboere.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nF\u00f8r jeg satte p\u00e5 tenninga, fikk jeg f\u00f8lelsen av et litt enkelt og utdatert f\u00f8rermilj\u00f8. Dype klokker, liten skjerm og midtkonsoll med mange knapper h\u00f8rer fortiden til. Det er tross alt over 10 \u00e5r siden den spesielle midtkonsollen h\u00f8stet priser for godt design. Da jeg skrudde p\u00e5 tenninga oppdaget jeg imidlertid at instrumentene var digitale dataskjermer, noe som hevet inntrykket betraktelig.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg konkluderer med at interi\u00f8ret er i overkant snusfornuftig, i hvertfall i basisversjonen med stoffseter. Likevel er det noe solid og robust over det &#8211; p\u00e5 typisk Volvo-m\u00e5te. Det utvendige designet p\u00e5 V60 er videref\u00f8rt i V50&#8217;s stil, og f\u00e5tt en front som minner om V70. Jeg liker det avrundede bakpartiet. Her er det \u00e5penbart lagt mer vekt p\u00e5 stil enn plass.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg sitter igjen med litt blandede f\u00f8lelser. P\u00e5 16 tommers standardhjul ser den noks\u00e5 alminnelig ut, og parkert sammen med SUV&#8217;er og store familiebiler virker den en tanke liten. Jeg tror de avrundede hj\u00f8rnene bidrar til det. Etter f\u00e5 kilometer tenkte jeg &laquo;Citro\u00ebn C4&raquo;, &#8211; en bil jeg har kj\u00f8rt mye de siste \u00e5rene. 1,6-literen i V60&#8217;en er den samme 1,6-literen <a href=\"https:\/\/no.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/PSA_Peugeot_Citro%C3%ABn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PSA-gruppen<\/strong><\/a> bruker i sine biler, og den samme som Ford bruker. Det dreier seg om en arv fra tiden da Ford eide Volvo. I Volvos 2016-modeller er D2 byttet ut med en ny motor p\u00e5 120 hester. Hvorvidt dette er den samme 120-hesteren som PSA tilbyr i sine modellprogram, eller en motor utviklet av Volvo, er ikke klart. P\u00e5 papiret har den likedan karakteristikk som dagens motor. Skj\u00f8nt, det kan man kun finne ut ved \u00e5 pr\u00f8vekj\u00f8re bilene som st\u00e5r ute hos forhandlerne i disse dager.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVolvo har valgt en sekstrinns girkasse som egner seg perfekt til nordiske fartsgrenser. Setene er bilens st\u00f8rste pluss. Jeg kunne sitte uanstrengt bak rattet i flere timer uten plager av noe slag, &#8211; noe jeg vil karakterisere som diskret komfort. Komforten <em>er<\/em> der, men du tenker ikke over det.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVurdert som premiumklasse, preges lydbildet av ganske mye usjarmerende motorsumming, men f\u00f8les mer behagelig fra 80 og oppover med sjettegiret innkoblet. V60&#8217;ens karrosseriform avsl\u00f8rer at det ikke er plass til alt for mye i bagasjerommet. Det er spesielt laste\u00e5pningen som byr p\u00e5 problemer. Min herresykkel fikk s\u00e5 vidt plass med nedsl\u00e5tte bakseter, &#8211; men bare s\u00e5vidt. Det st\u00f8rste problemet var bredden p\u00e5 bakd\u00f8ren. Det var faktisk enklere \u00e5 f\u00e5 plass til sykkelen i e-Golfen jeg tester for et par uker siden. Med nedsl\u00e5tte bakseter forteller spesifikasjonene at det faktisk er <em>mer<\/em> plass i Golfen enn i V60&#8217;en, og da snakker vi om en vanlig 5-d\u00f8rs Golf, &#8211; ikke stasjonsvognen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBagasjerommet er imidlertid lett \u00e5 benytte for mer h\u00e5ndterbare gjenstander. Det er lett \u00e5 sl\u00e5 ned setene til et helt flatt gulv. P\u00e5 bakseteryggene finnes det et utdragbart bagasjeromsnett til \u00e5 sikre lasten p\u00e5 typisk Volvo-vis. Jeg likte ogs\u00e5 at vindusstolpene var kledt med vaskbar hardplast p\u00e5 innsiden &#8211; og ikke stoff.
