R-design med sort ramme rundt grillen og sortlakkerte ytterspeiler.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<div class=\"copy_teb\">\n<blockquote><p>I stedet for \u00e5 sitte p\u00e5 en br\u00e5kete kaffebar tenkte jeg at vi kunne ta en road trip &#8211; til &laquo;gamle tomter&raquo;. Jeg hadde bestilt en Volvo XC40.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Det er faktisk en av de mest interessante bilnyhetene det siste \u00e5ret, selv om den enn\u00e5 ikke tilbys med noen form for hybrid eller el-drift. Jeg kjenner igjen Volvos nye brukergrensesnitt. Den lille girspaken som skifter &laquo;by wire&raquo;, m\u00e5 skyves to separate ganger mellom &laquo;Drive&raquo; og &laquo;Reverse&raquo;. &laquo;Park&raquo; er p\u00e5 egen knapp. Den store midtstilte skjermen erstatter de gamle knappene Volvo hadde tidligere. Det fungerer bra, men jeg beh\u00f8vde et par minutter for \u00e5 gj\u00f8re meg kjent med innstillingene f\u00f8r jeg la ut p\u00e5 veien. Jeg valgte \u00e5 koble ut &laquo;Lane Keeping Aid&raquo;. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Humane kvaliteter<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg hadde avtalt \u00e5 m\u00f8te broren min. Av forskjellige \u00e5rsaker hadde vi ikke sett hverandre p\u00e5 alt for lenge. Vi pratet om liv og d\u00f8d, og s\u00e5nt, som vi ofte gj\u00f8r. Volvoen dannet en fin ramme for samtalen. Ergonometrisk utformet for h\u00f8yvokste nordboere, som oss, og i toppklasse med hensyn til sikkerhet. Dessuten h\u00f8y feelgood-faktor &#8211; mil etter mil &#8211; \u00e5r etter \u00e5r.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVi legger ferden ut av byen mot Nes p\u00e5 Romerike. Det er snart jul, og vi s\u00f8ker oss til et omr\u00e5de vi kjente godt som barn. Broren min vokste opp der. Selv vokste jeg opp et annet sted, men dro dit i jula. En r\u00f8dmalt liten stue i skogen, julemat fra egen gris, stabbur, sovende kattepus under svartovnen, kornband med dompap, rim p\u00e5 epletr\u00e6rne og en str\u00f8ken Gr\u00e5tass i garasjen. Broren min og jeg er n\u00e5 begge gr\u00e5 i h\u00e5ret. Jeg tenker at de kan velte ved skarpe unnaman\u00f8vrer. Det er i alle fall f\u00f8lelsen jeg f\u00e5r i sm\u00e5, lette crossovere med kort fj\u00e6ring. I grunnen ser jo kompakt-SUV&#8217;en fra Volvo ut som en s\u00e5nn bil, men understellet er faktisk meget kompetent. P\u00e5 veien ligger bilen st\u00f8dig, tungt og trygt &#8211; over humper og gjennom skarpe svinger. Understellet fanger ujevnhetene imponerende bra. Her f\u00f8les Volvo XC40 en klasse over konkurrenter som Volkswagen Tiguan og Seat Ateca.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBilen fra <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hertzbilpool.no\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Hertz Bilpool<\/strong><\/a> har utstyrsgrad R-design. Den er utstyrt med sports-chassis, flott lydanlegg og velutstyrt infotainment system. Mens vi kj\u00f8rer og prater, sjekker broren min ut den store midtstilte skjermen. Han kobler opp mobilen sin via Bluetooth og fors\u00f8ker \u00e5 koble seg p\u00e5 &laquo;Volvo Wifi Hotspot&raquo; via passord &#8211; men lyktes ikke \u00e5 f\u00e5 nettverk, sannsynligvis p\u00e5 grunn av manglende abonnement. Om f\u00e5 \u00e5r tror jeg alle biler har wifi ombord. Nye Volvoer virker godt forberedt til \u00e5 m\u00f8te morgendagens krav til informasjonsteknologi. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">M\u00e5 ha firehjulstrekk<\/h3>\n<p>Det er sn\u00f8f\u00f8re p\u00e5 veien over Greniskogen. Ganske hardt midt i veien og l\u00f8sere masser mot kantene. Ved m\u00f8tende trafikk m\u00e5 man legge seg pent ut og v\u00e6re p\u00e5 vakt til \u00e5 korrigere i tilfelle bilen drar seg mot kanten. XC40&#8217;en l\u00e5 fjellst\u00f8tt. Som forventet. Skulle det oppst\u00e5 en ustabilitet, griper bilens &laquo;Stability Traction Control&raquo; og Haldex 5 firehjulsystem inn. Jeg nyter \u00e5 gi gass rundt krappe svinger og kjenne hvordan firehjulsystemet griper inn. Broren min skuet tankefullt ut over de sn\u00f8dekte gravst\u00f8ttene og mintes bestekameratene som mistet livet p\u00e5 veien i ung alder. Vi kj\u00f8rte opp til den gamle, r\u00f8dmalte stuen i skogen hvor v\u00e5re forfedre levde og feiret jul. Deretter dro vi til Sanngrund og spiste lunsj mens dagslyset var i ferd med \u00e5 ebbe ut. Maten p\u00e5 Sanngrund er fantastisk. Alltid flinke folk p\u00e5 kj\u00f8kkenet. Vi spiste lutefisk med bacon, fett, ertestuing, salt og pepper til utsikten av sn\u00f8dekket over Glomma.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20779\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20779\" style=\"width: 1080px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/volvo-xc40-6-1080x720-3.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/volvo-xc40-6-1080x720-3.png?resize=980%2C653&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"volvo xc40\" width=\"980\" height=\"653\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20779\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20779\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Parkert utenfor et julepyntet Sanngrund.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorisering<\/h3>\n<p>M\u00f8rket hadde tatt overh\u00e5nd da vi bega oss mot byen og en runde med f\u00f8rjuls familiebes\u00f8k og gavebytting. &laquo;V\u00e5r&raquo; XC40 var utstyrt med Volvos D3-drivverk. 2,0 turbodiesel med 150 HK og dreiemoment p\u00e5 320 Nm fra 1750 til litt over 3000 omdreininger. Girkassa er 8-trinns automat fra japanske <ahref=\"https:\/\/www.aisin.com\/product\/automotive\/powertrain\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Aisin<\/strong><\/a>. Samme kasse sitter i flere av Volvos drivverk, blant annet D4 og T3. Jeg undret meg over at bilen alltid skiftet litt hardt ned de siste meterne f\u00f8r full stans, selv n\u00e5r jeg bare gled rolig inn mot et lyskryss. Ved igangkj\u00f8ring lot den turtallet g\u00e5 tilsvarende h\u00f8yt opp de f\u00f8rste meterne. Jeg forestilte meg at Volvo hadde programmert girkassa til \u00e5 dra motoren raskt opp i turtall fra start for \u00e5 eliminere turbo-lag. Da jeg byttet kj\u00f8remodus fra Comfort til Eco, forsvant nykkene, &#8211; og fortsatt ingen turbo-lag \u00e5 merke.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI Eco-modus ble det roligere i bilen. Jeg valgte derfor &laquo;Eco&raquo; i byen og &laquo;Comfort&raquo; p\u00e5 landlige vinterveier. Der foretrekker jeg at bilen responderer kvikt p\u00e5 gassen. Til venstre, telefonkiosken ved Sk\u00f8yen stasjon.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Duger som familiebil<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Plass<\/strong><br \/>\nXC40 har det meste man beh\u00f8ver i en familiebil. St\u00f8rrelsesmessig er den i samme klasse som Volkswagen Tiguan og Seat Ateca. Den h\u00f8ye sittestillingen gir rikelig plass i kupeen, &#8211; ogs\u00e5 n\u00e5r jeg sitter bak meg selv (1,88 meter). Bagasjerommet p\u00e5 460 liter er lett \u00e5 utnytte. En mellomplate gir flatt gulv uten innlastingskant. Under platen er det et separat, grunt rom. Med skillevegg vil du kunne laste i h\u00f8yden, ogs\u00e5. Prisene for Volvo XC40 AWD med 6-trinns <em>manuell<\/em> girkasse og alle relevante utstyrspakker begynner p\u00e5 like under 500 000,- (kilde: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bilia.no\/biler\/volvo\/volvo-xc40-d3-momentum-awd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bilia.no<\/strong><\/a>). Til sammenligning koster en D4 AWD automat R-design 584 800,- f\u00f8r utstyrspakker. Jeg er vanligvis ikke j\u00e5lete med hensyn til utstyrsniv\u00e5er og s\u00e5nt, men jeg likte R-Design-pakka &#8211; b\u00e5de det visuelle inntrykket, med helsort grill, sortlakkerte ytterspeiler, innvendig dekor og sort taktrekk. Jeg vil ogs\u00e5 fremheve sports-chassiset. Dette kan for \u00f8vrig bestilles som tilleggsutstyr p\u00e5 lavere utstyrsserier.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDen st\u00f8rste innvendingen mot XC40 er at den (enn\u00e5) ikke kan leveres med avgiftsgunstige drivlinjer basert p\u00e5 batterier og hybrid. Skj\u00f8nt, det er vel bare et tidssp\u00f8rsm\u00e5l f\u00f8r det kommer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sikkerhet<\/h3>\n<p>Det er sjelden jeg ser s\u00e5 mye gr\u00f8nne partier p\u00e5 NCAPs testdukker som etter <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.euroncap.com\/media\/40667\/euroncap-2018-volvo-xc40-datasheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>krasjtestene med XC40<\/strong><\/a>. &laquo;Volvo City Safety&raquo; ble testet med gode resultater. Den stanser bilen automatisk ved hindringer i typiske bysituasjoner, og er standard p\u00e5 nesten alle biler i dag. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Forbruk<\/h3>\n<p>Bor du i n\u00e6rheten av Oslo, kan det v\u00e6re uklokt \u00e5 velge diesel p\u00e5 grunn av rykter om kj\u00f8reforbud og annenh\u00e5ndsverdi. Kj\u00f8rer du mye, kan diesel likevel v\u00e6re et \u00f8konomisk bra valg. De nye 2-liters dieselmotorene fra Volvo kan nemlig kj\u00f8res veldig \u00f8konomisk. Oppgitt EU-forbruk for &laquo;min&raquo; bil er 0,54 liter pr mil.
