Ett av de beste retrokonseptene jeg har sett. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Retro &#8211; f\u00f8r retro ble moderne.<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg husker da den ble introdusert i 1991. P\u00e5 den tiden kj\u00f8rte jeg selv en moderne Nissan. Jeg forestiller meg at 1991 m\u00e5 ha v\u00e6rt et godt \u00e5r for det japanske bilmerket. Bilene her hjemme, Micra, Sunny, Bluebird og Laurel fremsto ikke som spesielt spennende. Mye plastikk og tynt metall. Man kan vel si at Nissan p\u00e5 den tiden solgte godt p\u00e5 tross av sitt utseende. Ingen av disse var s\u00e6rlig vellykkede, i hvert fall ikke utenfor datidens Japan. S\u00e5 dukket Nissan Figaro opp. I likhet med sine forgjengere tror jeg det var et prosjekt \u00f8remerket for det japanske markedet. Det ble aldri laget venstre-rattede biler, og jeg tror ikke Nissan kunne &#8211; eller brydde seg om \u00e5 levere nok biler til \u00e5 dekke ettersp\u00f8rselen. De kunne ha solgt mange flere enn de 20.000 som ble produsert i l\u00f8pet av det ene \u00e5ret bilen var i produksjon.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Japaner med britiske trekk<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg leste om bilen i det britiske bilmagasinet <em>Car<\/em>. Jeg forventet at de ville v\u00e6re kritiske til Figaro og latterliggj\u00f8re den. Det gjorde de ikke. Biljournalisten, som kj\u00f8rte den i Japan, likte den &#8211; \u00e5penbart. Figaro er et meget takknemlig fotoobjekt og pyntet opp sidene p\u00e5 det glansede bilmagasinet. Jeg tror kanskje det var Figaros britiskinspirerte design som gjorde utslaget.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sjelden fugl<\/h3>\n<p>Nissan Figaro ble faktisk importert og solgt i Storbritannia. Prisen var like i underkant av 10.000 GBP, omtrent som en Nissan Sunny 1,3. Men Nissan Figaro ble aldri noe dagligdags syn. F\u00f8r n\u00e5, &#8211;&nbsp;n\u00e5 er retrobilen blitt veteranbil. P\u00e5 noen hektiske f\u00f8rjulsdager i London oppdaget jeg ikke mindre enn fire eksemplarer i flott tilstand. Jeg postet bilder av dem p\u00e5 Instagram under hashtag <em>#whencarsmatchplaces<\/em>. Sjelden har jeg sett noen bil som matcher klassisk bebyggelse i London West End, Knightsbridge, Kensington og Notting Hill s\u00e5 bra. N\u00e5r jeg tenker etter, ville en Nissan Figaro dekorere en hvilken som helst bygate i S\u00f8r-Frankrike og Italia, ogs\u00e5. Men gitt det faktum at Nissan kun bygde h\u00f8yre-rattede biler, gj\u00f8r Figaro mindre interessant for det kontinentale Europa og Skandinavia. Jeg leste at det skal v\u00e6re cirka 10 registrerte biler i Sverige. \u00c9n bil er omtalt i Norge. Den hadde \u00d8stfold-skilter, &#8211; men i kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yregisteret er den for tiden avregistrert. Motoren er en 1,0 liter turbomotor med 76 hester. Det var nok ingen vanlig Micra-motor i Europa. Jeg greier i alle fall ikke \u00e5 finne spor etter denne motoren i samtidens Micra&#8217;er, men motoren er regnet for \u00e5 v\u00e6re sv\u00e6rt driftsikker, &#8211; som alt annet fra Nissan p\u00e5 den tiden. Understell, hjuloppheng og bremser skal v\u00e6re identisk med Micra.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hobbybil<\/h3>\n<p>Figaroen er dekorativ, kj\u00f8rbar og et enkelt objekt \u00e5 vedlikeholde og pusse opp. Den er sjelden og vekker garantert oppsikt. Det gj\u00f8r den godt egnet som hobbybil, &#8211; en bil \u00e5 shine opp og dra p\u00e5 biltreff med. Et alternativ til nyere 2CV eller Renault 4. Prisene er mellom 12.000 og 16.000 Euro.
