Volkswagen Audi Club Norwegen (VACN) hadde leid den store hallen for \u00e5 stille ut medlemsbiler og feire 25 \u00e5r.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Hva skjedde egentlig for 25 \u00e5r siden?<\/h3>\n<p>\u00c5ret er 1993 &#8211; Golf III hadde v\u00e6rt i handelen i vel 2 \u00e5r. Likes\u00e5 Audi 80 (B4) og Audi 100 (C4). Den eneste &laquo;nyheten&raquo; dette \u00e5ret var Passat B4, &#8211; som egentlig ikke var noe annet enn en facelifted B3.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nFlere av bilene fra tiden rundt 1993 var utstilt p\u00e5 treffet i helgen. Ta for eksempel C4-baserte Audi S4 og 4,2 V8. Datidens superbiler er fremdeles flotte kj\u00f8remaskiner. Dessuten ser de fantastiske ut &#8211; selv etter 25 \u00e5r. Audi 80 Competition er en ganske sjelden spesialmodell av Audi 80 B4. Det mest i\u00f8ynefallende er t\u00e5kelysene i st\u00f8tfangeren og den fabrikkmonterte hekkspoileren. Standardmotoren i denne modellen var 2,0E 16V 140 HK, 5-trinns manuell girkasse og Quattro. 0-100 skal i f\u00f8lge fabrikkens spesifikasjoner g\u00e5 unna p\u00e5 9,8 sekunder. Audi S4 (C4).<\/figcaption><\/figure>For ca. 25 \u00e5r siden var det Audi C4 som tente min interesse for VACN&#8217;s biler. I 1994 kunne du velge mellom to ratt, &#8211; ett med stor pute og airbag, eller et mer sportslig ratt uten airbag, &#8211; men med Audi&#8217;s Procon-Ten system som automatisk strammet beltene og flyttet rattet ut av st\u00f8tsonen. Min C4 hadde airbag, aircondition, automat og 2,6 V6. Jeg kan med h\u00e5nden p\u00e5 hjertet si at en 1994 Audi 2,6 i nybil-stand fremdeles ville v\u00e6rt bedre \u00e5 kj\u00f8re enn mange av dagens fornuftige familiebiler.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg vet ikke hvilken C4 som ville toppet listen av superbiler. Audi S4 med den 5-sylindrede 2,2 liters turbomotoren? &#8211; eller Audi&#8217;s V8 4,2 liter? Begge var utsilt p\u00e5 Hellerud. Jeg husker hvor imponerende det var \u00e5 \u00e5pne panseret p\u00e5 min 2,6 og se det dekorative plastdekselet. Men 4,2-motoren er jo prikken over i&#8217;en &#8211; ikke minst visuelt.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg husker at 2,6-literen avga ganske mye varme i motorrommet og h\u00e5pet inderlig at ingeni\u00f8rene hadde s\u00f8rget for tilstrekkelig varmebeskyttelse av elektronikken i girkassa. Jeg antar at 4,2-literen avgir enda mer varme. Dessuten gir den mer tyngde foran &#8211; og tidlige 4,2-litere hadde jo ikke verdens beste rykte for holdbarhet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nV8 kontra mindre motor med turbo gir ulike kj\u00f8reopplevelser.
