St\u00f8rrelse og visuelt inntrykk er akkurat som Audi A3 og Seat Leon. Men tar du bilen ut p\u00e5 veien, vil du fort merke at den er basert p\u00e5 en mindre plattform. Den f\u00f8les mer som Fabia. Jeg har lest at framvogna er hentet fra Fabia og at bakhjulsopphenget stammer fra Roomster. Sporvidder foran og bak underbygger dette.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Rommer mye<\/h3>\n<p>Bilens st\u00f8rste fortrinn er plass. Ved <a href=\"https:\/\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/2014\/10\/29\/arbeidshest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>en tidligere anledning<\/strong><\/a> brukte jeg den som flyttebil &#8211; til alle tingene den store flyttebilen ikke hadde tatt med seg. Sl\u00e5r du ned bakseteryggene, f\u00e5r du et hav av plass. Bagasjerommet med oppsl\u00e5tte seter er p\u00e5 415 liter. Men takket v\u00e6re lang akselavstand er det mye plass i kupeen. Sl\u00e5r du ned setene kan du fint frakte ting som bokhyller, st\u00e5lamper og lenestoler. Det er god plass til \u00e5 feste bakovervendte barnestoler, ogs\u00e5.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI fjor kom Rapid med en facelift. Et par sm\u00e5 endringer i fronten for \u00e5 f\u00e5 plass til LED-lys og avstandssensor. Bak er glasset i bakruten strukket over bagasjeluken. Sammen med panorama-glasstaket dannes det en effekt av sammenhengende glass over hele bilen. LED-lys og panorama-glasstak hever imagen. Stilig sammen med panorama-glasstaket.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Er det rom for en modell mellom Fabia og Octavia?<\/h3>\n<p>Rapid ble ikke utviklet for \u00e5 tette hull i eksisterende modellserier. Den var tenkt \u00e5 dekke bilmarkedet i lavkostland, som de nye statene i gamle Sovjetunionen, og land som Kina, og der omkring. Et viktig konkurransefortrinn var pris. I Norge, hvor engangsavgiften beregnes etter vekt og utslipp, har ikke Rapid noen prisfordeler. Derfor har import\u00f8ren v\u00e6rt n\u00f8ktern med motorsortimentet. Med den minste motoren, 1,0 TSI 95 HK, faller Rapid Spaceback prismessig mellom Fabia og Octavia. I det skiktet kan den sikkert ogs\u00e5 fange kunder som synes Fabia blir for liten og Octavia blir for sedanpreget, &#8211; eller som kona mi ville sagt: &laquo;gubbete&raquo;. Mange vil hevde at Rapid Spaceback ser bedre ut enn de andre Skoda&#8217;ene.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ingen plagsomme trommelyder<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg var spent p\u00e5 hvordan 1.0 TSI med 95-hester og 7-trinns DSG-kasse ville fungere p\u00e5 veien. Jeg liker ikke lyden fra 3-sylindrede motorer, spesielt ved gassp\u00e5drag. 3-sylindrede motorer p\u00e5 h\u00f8yt turtall l\u00e5ter som et lite trommeorkester. Sjarmerende i begynnelsen, men enerverende etter en stund. Ett av reisem\u00e5lene mine denne s\u00f8ndagen var amcar-utstillingen p\u00e5 Blaker i Akershus. S\u00e5 lenge jeg ikke var for hard p\u00e5 gassen, s\u00f8rget girkassa for \u00e5 holde motoren rundt dette turtallet, ogs\u00e5 ved akselerasjon. Fra stillest\u00e5ende jobbet DSG-kassa seg effektivt gjennom alle girene mens motoren putret mellom 1400-1600 omdreininger. Hvis bilen er tungt lastet eller du befinner deg i en spansk storby og trenger \u00e5 kj\u00f8re litt aggressivt, kommer nok trommelyden til \u00e5 bryte gjennom. Men i den s\u00f8ndagsfredlige trafikken i \u00f8stre Akershus, glimret de med sitt frav\u00e6r.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDen 3-sylindrede motoren gir en del vibrasjoner p\u00e5 lave turtall. Det gj\u00f8r at man merker girskiftene bedre enn p\u00e5 mer kultiverte motorer. Spesielt nedgiringer hvor motoren kanskje er nede p\u00e5 rundt 1400 omdreininger. Det positive er at man blir mer bevisst p\u00e5 girskiftene, og kan holde motoren p\u00e5 forbruksvennlige turtall. M\u00e5lt forbruk ble 0,48 liter\/mil p\u00e5 vei opp og 0,42 p\u00e5 vei tilbake. Forbedringen p\u00e5 hjemturen skyldes nok at jeg var mer oppmerksom p\u00e5 \u00e5 holde gunstige gir. N\u00e5r man blir vant til drivverket er det nok mulig \u00e5 komme under 0,40 p\u00e5 mila, men trolig ikke p\u00e5 en s\u00e5 varm dag som det var p\u00e5 s\u00f8ndag.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">P\u00e5 veien<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg nevnte innledningsvis at Rapid f\u00f8les som en mindre bil enn Golf p\u00e5 veien. Det gjelder f\u00f8rst og fremst stabilitet og veigrep n\u00e5r man kaster bilen inn i svinger. Rapid&#8217;en ruller mer enn standard Golf, men er langt fra noen d\u00e5rlig bil \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. Jeg liker spesielt godt den elektromekaniske styringen. Den f\u00f8les helt perfekt. Akkurat s\u00e5 direkte som jeg liker, og med akkurat passe tilbakemelding fra hjulene. Det kan hende at hardheten kan justeres, men jeg syntes den var passe. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Komfort<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg liker det vaffelrutede setetrekket i sportssetene som f\u00f8lger med utstyrsgraden <em>Emotion<\/em>. De virket kj\u00f8lende i varmen. Men jeg greidde ikke \u00e5 finne en optimal sittestilling. Det greidde jeg ikke forrige gang jeg kj\u00f8rte Rapid, heller, &#8211; da i utstyrsgraden <em>Style<\/em>. Problemet er at jeg ikke f\u00e5r setevinkelen korrekt s\u00e5nn at jeg f\u00e5r st\u00f8tte til l\u00e5rene. Jeg kan kompensere med \u00e5 sitte h\u00f8yere eller trekke setet lenger tilbake, men ingen av delene f\u00f8ltes optimalt.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDe faste nakkest\u00f8ttene som er inkorporert i seteryggen, ser fine ut, men gjorde at jeg ble sittende med hodet litt fremoverb\u00f8yd. Det er mye hardplast i interi\u00f8ret. Men alt <em>ser<\/em> uforskammet bra ut. Dessuten tror jeg interi\u00f8ret t\u00e5ler r\u00f8ff behandling. Jeg f\u00f8lte meg hjemme i bilen fra f\u00f8rste sekund. Her er alt der du forventer \u00e5 finne det. S\u00e5 tysk &#8211; s\u00e5 typisk Volkswagen. Etter et par timer bak rattet sitter jeg med samme inntrykk som forrige gang. Det er ikke perfekt, men i grunnen helt alright. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Sikkerhet<\/h3>\n<p>Rapid 4-d\u00f8rs sedan ble <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euroncap.com\/en\/results\/skoda\/rapid\/10948\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>testet av NCAP<\/strong><\/a> i 2012 med maksimum score for frontkollisjon og  sidekollisjon. For sideveis kollisjon mot stolpe ble det gitt &laquo;adequate&raquo; score for skader mot bryst og &laquo;good&raquo; for \u00f8vrige kroppsdeler. Det mest kritiske i rapporten var fare for whiplash. Her ble karakteren &laquo;marginal&raquo; benyttet. Etter hva jeg kan bed\u00f8mme, m\u00e5 sportssetene i Emotion-utgaven gi topp beskyttelse mot whiplash. Automatisk n\u00f8dstopp for fotgjengere og hindringer innenfor 30 km\/t er for \u00f8vrig kommet til som standardutstyr etter NCAPs test.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSikkerhetsmessig havner Rapid i samme b\u00e5s som Volkswagen Golf. Begge modeller scorer nemlig likt i NCAP-testene fra 2012 med unntak av beskyttelse av barn. Her havner Rapid litt under Golf, men fremdeles meget bra.
