Da jeg satte meg inn bak rattet for f\u00f8rste gang, fikk jeg overhodet <em>ikke<\/em> f\u00f8lelsen av \u00e5 sitte i en av de aller minste bilene p\u00e5 markedet. Jeg er 1,88. Jeg liker \u00e5 sitte lavt, men ikke med strake armer. Setet gir OK st\u00f8tte til kroppen. Rundt meg har jeg grei oversikt og grei plass.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nUtenfor bilen, &#8211; etter \u00e5 ha parkert ved siden av en Golf &#8211; fikk jeg imidlertid et helt annet inntrykk. Da jeg s\u00e5 Picanto&#8217;en ved siden av Golfen, tenkte jeg: <em>&laquo;Oj, s\u00e5 liten den er!&raquo;<\/em>. Da jeg tidligere i \u00e5r kj\u00f8rte rundt i en Fiat 500, tenkte jeg aldri over dette. Fiat 500 ser ut som en minibil b\u00e5de n\u00e5r den st\u00e5r alene og sammen med andre biler. Kia Picanto, derimot, gir inntrykk av \u00e5 v\u00e6re en voksen bil n\u00e5r den st\u00e5r alene. Den har et mer svulmende utseende enn Fiat 500. Mer firkantet, liksom. Det er f\u00f8rst n\u00e5r jeg sammenligner med andre biler, at jeg ser det reelle st\u00f8rrelsesforholdet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nKia har greidd \u00e5 f\u00e5 mye plass ut av dr\u00f8ye tre- og en halv meter bil, men det kan aldri bli mer enn det er p\u00e5 papiret. Det betyr for eksempel at to langbente personer ikke kan sitte bak hverandre uten \u00e5 m\u00e5tte avgi benplass. Det betyr ogs\u00e5 at du m\u00e5 sl\u00e5 ned ett av baksetene n\u00e5r du skal ha med bagasje. For \u00e5 f\u00e5 plass til alle de andre flaskene med Farris, Fanta, Coca-Cola og \u00f8l av forskjellige sorter, m\u00e5tte jeg sl\u00e5 ned det ene baksetet. Som i andre sm\u00e5biler m\u00e5 du senke nakkest\u00f8tten eller skyve passasjersetet frem for at seteryggen skal falle helt ned. Jeg fikk ikke helt flatt gulv, men likevel plass til store ting, som for eksempel en koffert.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBak rattet merket jeg hvor lett styringen var da jeg man\u00f8vrerte i parkeringsfart. Styreservoen er \u00e5penbart speed-sensitiv. Det passet meg godt p\u00e5 handletur. Bremsene tok med et lett trykk p\u00e5 pedalen. Picanto&#8217;en er lettkj\u00f8rt, og den tok meg effektivt gjennom den hektiske f\u00f8rjulstrafikken. Lydbildet er som hos konkurrentene. N\u00e5r man drar p\u00e5 litt fra stillest\u00e5ende, h\u00f8rer man den harde ukultiverte motorlyden som er s\u00e5 typisk for 3-sylindrede motorer.  I fart er lydbildet mest preget av veisus.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nKia Picanto har nylig kommet i ny utgave. De viktigste oppgraderingene er et helt nytt dashbord med bedre infotainment-avdeling, st\u00f8rre bagasjerom samt utvendige endringer i tr\u00e5d med Kia&#8217;s nye designlinje. Den har imidlertid samme drivverk og samme utvendige m\u00e5l som &laquo;min&raquo; Picanto, den utg\u00e5ende modellen med intern betegnelse SR7. I 2015 fikk den en facelift. Begge fikk da omtrent like gode resultater. <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.euroncap.com\/media\/6603\/euroncap_kia_picanto_2011_4stars.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>I rapporten<\/strong><\/a> f\u00e5r Kia trekk for at bakre sided\u00f8r p\u00e5 kollisjonstesten \u00e5pnet seg ved den letteste av sidekollisjonstestene, men forble lukket p\u00e5 de andre testene. Sikkerheten i baksetet er et generelt svakt punkt for denne bilklassen. Det er begrenset hvor mye sikkerhet man kan bygge innenfor de rammene man har til r\u00e5dighet.<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nSikkerhet i minibiler handler ogs\u00e5 om \u00e5 vise ekstra forsiktighet bak rattet og legge inn st\u00f8rre marginer. Sm\u00e5 biler kan for eksempel  lett skjule seg i d\u00f8dvinkelen p\u00e5 moderne SUV&#8217;er og crossover&#8217;e. Regelen er at jo mindre kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y du har, jo st\u00f8rre er risikoen for \u00e5 bli p\u00e5kj\u00f8rt av andre trafikanter. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Konklusjon<\/h3>\n<p>Minibiler p\u00e5 rundt tre- og en halvmeter er en spennende bilklasse. Ny eller nesten ny Kia Picanto er et fornuftig valg, spesielt med tanke p\u00e5 \u00f8konomi. Dette er en bil som utvilsomt vil ta deg fra A til B i mange \u00e5r. Den er b\u00e5de lett og ganske morsom \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. Den eneste innvendingen jeg har, er at bilen kan se st\u00f8rre ut enn den egentlig <em>er<\/em>. Hvis du vurderer \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe en Picanto, skal du ta den ut p\u00e5 pr\u00f8vekj\u00f8ring og parkere ved siden av en bil du kjenner godt fra f\u00f8r, for eksempel en Volkswagen Golf.
