De elsker ogs\u00e5 tegneserier. Jeg kjenner ikke til noe land i verden som har s\u00e5 stort utvalg av bilblader og tegneserieblader som dem. Og hvis du &#8211; som meg &#8211; liker b\u00e5de biler og tegneserier, kan du glede deg over at tegneserieforfatterne gjerne tegner vakre klassiske biler i handlingene sine. Det ser vi ikke bare i Herg\u00e9&#8217;s Tintin og Franquin&#8217;s Viggo, men ogs\u00e5 flere dyktige, yngre tegneserieskapere som har valgt samme tegnestil som de nevnte herrer. Jeg skal komme tilbake til dette i et senere innlegg.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMen alts\u00e5, &#8211; mens noen franskmenn lever og \u00e5nder for sine biler, gir andre fullstendig blaffen. De virker ignorante til alt som har med bil og gj\u00f8re. De kj\u00f8rer uv\u00f8rent og parkerer hvor det passer seg, og ser ikke ut til \u00e5 la seg affisere av en bulk eller to.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg har akkurat v\u00e6rt p\u00e5 en h\u00f8stvisitt til Frankrike. Jeg har opps\u00f8kt en bilsamling hvor flere hundre bilentusiaster med og uten bil m\u00f8tes. Jeg har ogs\u00e5 fotografert klassiske franske biler jeg tilfeldigvis har kommet over p\u00e5 veien. Det er ikke bare bilene jeg har studert, men ogs\u00e5 eierne av disse flotte kj\u00f8ret\u00f8yene. Noen er selvsagt bevisste at de kj\u00f8rer ekte franske tradisjoner vel vitende om at en gammel 2CV eller Renault 4 er noe av det cooleste du kan kj\u00f8re i n\u00e5 for tiden. Denne modellen, designet i USA og produsert i Frankrike, ble markedsf\u00f8rt som Chrysler 160, Chrylser 180 og Chrysler 2 litre. Ikke s\u00e6rlig spennende navn. Bilene manglet identitet og var n\u00e6rmest uselgelige i Norge til tross for aktiv markedsf\u00f8ring. Den solgte d\u00e5rlig i moderlandene Frankrike og Storbritannia, ogs\u00e5. Disse bilene var popul\u00e6re som drosjebiler, &#8211; ogs\u00e5 i Norge. Stasjonsvogna var i tillegg ekstremt rommelig, spesielt Familale som hadde en ekstra seterad. Lenge etter at de sluttet \u00e5 produsere 403, ble den sv\u00e6rt popul\u00e6r hos Marokkanske fremmedarbeidere. Oppf\u00f8lgeren til Dauphine fikk skarpere og t\u00f8ffere linjer. Renault 8 var popul\u00e6r i motorsport, skj\u00f8nt jeg kan ikke huske \u00e5 ha sett s\u00e6rlig mange her i Norge. Simca 1000, derimot, var det flere av. Jeg husker Renault 8 som en bil for pensjonister og gamle damer. Etter at jeg bygde meg en Renault 4, fikk jeg imidlertid \u00f8ynene opp for hvor bra Renault 8 egentlig er for hobbymekkere. Den konkurrerte med blant annet Audi 80, fra 1972 og Passat \u00e5ret etter. To modeller var tilgjengelig, en med 1015 ccm motor og 1220 Club. De er sjeldne \u00e5 se p\u00e5 veien i dag, selv i Frankrike. Da er det lett \u00e5 fortelle hvilken bil man tar, &#8211; enern eller toern. Men Twingo, som for \u00f8vrig fyller 25 \u00e5r i \u00e5r, ble aldri fors\u00f8kt tatt inn til Norge. Langs sydlige Frankrike, derimot, er de fremdeles meget popul\u00e6re. Bilene er basert p\u00e5 Citroen Dyane og har et karosseri laget av myk plastikk. I Frankrike er de som kultbiler og regne, men for mange er de praktiske og uj\u00e5lete biler i friske farger. De er relativt enkle restaureringsobjekter.
