Men etter hvert som du bruker det, blir du mer og mer glad i det. Akkurat s\u00e5nn er det med offroadsykler og D-Max.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Vinner ingen skj\u00f8nnhetskonkurranse<\/h3>\n<p>Ved f\u00f8rste \u00f8yekast er ikke Isuzu D-Max noen skj\u00f8nnhet. Jeg greier ikke sette fingeren p\u00e5 hva som er feil, men jeg synes den mangler stil. Linjef\u00f8ringen i karosseriet harmonerer liksom ikke. Den store forkrommede fronten virker overdreven, p\u00e5 kanten til \u00e5 v\u00e6re Harry. Jeg tenker at dette er et kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y som er utformet av asiater med tanke p\u00e5 \u00e5 gj\u00f8re suksess i USA. D-Max ser ikke like bra ut som Volkswagen Amarok og nye Mercedes X-klasse, men koster da ogs\u00e5 mye mindre. Ser vi p\u00e5 de \u00f8vrige pickup&#8217;ene i samme prisklasse som D-Max, synes jeg de alle ser ganske like ut. Ingen av dem er noen skj\u00f8nnheter. Kun solide nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8yer.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Trivelig bak rattet<\/h3>\n<p>Jeg skal innr\u00f8mme at jeg liker \u00e5 kj\u00f8re D-Max. Ikke misforst\u00e5. D-Max er ingen spesielt kj\u00f8reglad bil. Det er umiskjennelig varebil. Stiv bakaksel, vagere p\u00e5 styringen enn de fleste personbiler, st\u00f8rre svingradius, og s\u00e5 er den en halvmeter lengere enn en stor familiebil. Men p\u00e5 den annen side, den er ingen sinke i trafikken. Den er lett \u00e5 man\u00f8vrere. De store speilene gir godt utsyn. Du har fin sikt 360 grader, og ryggekameraet viser eksakt hvor kula p\u00e5 hengerfestet befinner seg. Den holder seg nesten alltid p\u00e5 et behagelig lavt turtall. 5-trinns automat fungerer fint. Drivstofforbruket er som p\u00e5 en familiebil for 10 \u00e5r siden. N\u00e5r jeg slipper opp gassen, g\u00e5r turtallet ned p\u00e5 tomgang og bilen ruller fritt. Det gj\u00f8r at det er lett \u00e5 finne en avslappet kj\u00f8restil, &#8211; og spare drivstoff. Motorbremsen tr\u00e5r til med en gang du t\u00f8tsjer bremsepedalen, eller girer ned manuelt. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Godf\u00f8lelsen skyldes ikke luksus<\/h3>\n<p>Med kufanger og vindaviser i fronten, ruver D-Max i trafikken. Jeg nyter respekten jeg f\u00e5r. Ingen skal p\u00e5 d\u00f8d og liv smette ut i veien rett foran meg, eller bare <em>m\u00e5<\/em> forbi like f\u00f8r de svinger av br\u00e5tt til h\u00f8yre. Feelgood-f\u00f8lelsen skyldes ogs\u00e5 interi\u00f8ret. Ikke for at det er spesielt luksuri\u00f8st, eller noe s\u00e5nt, &#8211; men det er lett \u00e5 komme seg inn og ut av, og lett \u00e5 bruke. Skinnseter med elektrisk innstilling bidrar godt. Man sitter h\u00f8yt og har god oversikt og god romf\u00f8lelse. Radio og klima fungerer bra, men infotainment-systemet i bilen tiltaler meg ikke s\u00e5 mye. Det ser ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re ettermontert &#8211; av merket Pioneer. Instruksjonsheftet ligger i lommen bak f\u00f8rersetet. Jeg skal ta meg tid til \u00e5 lese den. Den har, som nevnt, kufanger og vind-avvisere, samt velteb\u00f8yle og deksel over planet. Mye krom. Egentlig hadde jeg bedre plass til offroad-sykkelen uten deksel. Det stjeler akkurat de f\u00e5 centimeterne jeg trengte for at sykkelen skulle ligge helt nede. Men en lastestropp f\u00e5r den til \u00e5 ligge st\u00f8dig, uansett. Jeg liker \u00e5 kunne ta med sykkelen uten \u00e5 sl\u00e5 ned seter, eller demontere noe. Og s\u00e5 gj\u00f8r det ikke noe at sykkelen (som alltid) er m\u00f8kkete av s\u00f8le, olje og fett. Det er <em>det<\/em> som er s\u00e5 kjekt med pickup. Dukker det opp noe uh\u00e5ndterlig, kan du bare slenge det bakp\u00e5. Der finnes det enn\u00e5 grusveier. D-Max uten last hopper og danser med begge akslingene n\u00e5r jeg kommer litt for fort over vaskebrettene. Det er tross alt varebil som kan ta ett tonn nyttelast pluss en kjempehenger bak. Men man beh\u00f8ver ikke ta med noen last for komfortens skyld &#8211; i hvert fall ikke p\u00e5 vanlig vei.<\/p>\n<p>Jeg smiler litt for meg selv. N\u00e5r jeg sykler bygdeveiene, legger jeg merke til at pickup er &laquo;in&raquo;. Jeg ser D-Max p\u00e5 flere av de sommerlige tunene jeg passerer. Jeg finner frem til den gamle fiskeplassen min, den gamle butikken som for lengst er nedlagt, og steder hvor folk for lengst er avg\u00e5tt ved d\u00f8den. Det er ogs\u00e5 mange av tr\u00e6rne i den gamle bjerkeall\u00e9en som oldefaren min plantet en gang i tiden. Det er mer enn 25 \u00e5r siden jeg sist var p\u00e5 disse kantene. Da med bil. <\/p>\n<p>Med sykkel kunne jeg ta meg nesten ubemerket helt frem til husene p\u00e5 de smale g\u00e5rdsveiene, der det n\u00e5 bor &laquo;nye&raquo; familier. Det kunne jeg ikke gjort bak rattet p\u00e5 en bil. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I hvert fall ikke med en D-Max.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11305\"
