Jeg hadde beregnet en kj\u00f8relengde som skulle v\u00e6re h\u00f8yere enn hva f\u00f8rste generasjon e-Golf og Nissan Leaf 24 kwh kunne greie. Det er s\u00e5nn vi med rekkeviddeangst gj\u00f8r det n\u00e5r vi skal kj\u00f8re en ukjent bil til et ukjent sted. Vi planlegger til minste detalj. Infotainment-systemet ombord viser range check p\u00e5 kartet, samt oversikt over tilgjengelige ladestasjoner, &#8211; men jeg foretrekker \u00e5 sjekke selv. For sikkerhets skyld. En halvtime p\u00e5 ChaDeMo hurtiglader gir 0-80% kapasitet.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMen p\u00e5 vei ut av Drammen greidde jeg \u00e5 ta feil vei. Jeg leste <em>Kristiandsand<\/em>, men i et ubetenksomt \u00f8yeblikk tok jeg i stedet veien til <em>Kongsberg<\/em>. Hvis du havner inne i tunnelen til Kongsberg, m\u00e5 du kj\u00f8re 12,5 km helt til Mj\u00f8ndalen f\u00f8r du kan snu og kj\u00f8re tilbake &#8211; samme vei som du kom. Jeg s\u00e5 hvordan rekkevidde-regnskapet mitt smuldret opp.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nKIA Soul har en teoretisk rekkevidde p\u00e5 212 km. Jeg tror det stod ca 200 km da jeg startet. Etter den ufrivillige omveien, &#8211; vel inne p\u00e5 gamle S\u00f8rlandske syd for Kobbervikdalen, &#8211; viste instrumentbordet en rekkevidde p\u00e5 bare 151 km. Det lovet ikke godt for rekkevidde-regnskapet mitt. Det betyr 70 km\/t nesten hele veien. Ideellt for elbiler. Jeg slo av aircondition&#8217;en, satte girspaken i &laquo;B&raquo; for regenerering av bremeseenergi og innstilte meg p\u00e5 \u00f8konomisk kj\u00f8ring. Holde oppmerksomheten langt frem i veien, og unng\u00e5 raske oppbremsninger og akselerasjoner. Bel\u00f8nningen kom ganske fort i form av at rekkevidde-m\u00e5leren sank mindre enn faktisk tilbakelagte kilometre.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet var Kristi Himmelfartsdag og langhelg. Mange hadde fulgt oppfordringene i radioen om \u00e5 ta gamleveien. Det var likevel god flyt p\u00e5 veien helt til Holmestrand. Der stanset det opp, akkurat som det gjorde i gamle dager da &laquo;hele Norge&raquo; passerte den lille byen under fjellet. Uten aircon mistet jeg ikke noe str\u00f8m. Det er ikke mulig \u00e5 justere bremsekraften, men det er heller ikke n\u00f8dvendig. Den passer perfekt etter min smak. Jeg letter litt p\u00e5 gassen n\u00e5r trafikkm\u00f8nsteret tillater det. Ikke s\u00e5 mye at bremselysene g\u00e5r p\u00e5, men nok til at jeg kan se at batteriene blir ladet. N\u00e5r du venner deg til denne funksjonen, kan du \u00f8ke kj\u00f8relengden merkbart.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDu cruiser helt fint i 100-110 km\/t p\u00e5 motorveien. KIA Soul er ingen sportslig bil. Den krenger ganske mye. Jeg liker at h\u00f8ye biler ikke er for stive. Du sitter behagelig h\u00f8yt, som i en Volkswagen Touran. Lydkomforten er god. Det er noe romling fra dekkene, litt mer enn i Audi A3 e-tron jeg kj\u00f8rte i tidligere p\u00e5 dagen, men ikke irriterende. Ingen h\u00f8yfrekvente veilyder, kun myk gummi mot asfalten. Dekkene er 205\/60R16. El-motorlyden er frav\u00e6rende. Den lager s\u00e5 lite st\u00f8y at ingeni\u00f8rene har lagt p\u00e5 kunstig st\u00f8y ved rygging og kj\u00f8ring i gangfart. Smart.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nGamle S\u00f8rlandske er et alright alternativ til motorveien nedover i Vestfold, spesielt hvis du er p\u00e5 tur. F\u00f8r Nykirke m\u00e5 du f\u00f8lge med, for nesten alle skiltene pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 lure deg over p\u00e5 motorveien. Jeg fortsatte i stedet p\u00e5 Hellandveien og senere Nykirkeveien. Men KIA har l\u00f8ftet det ved \u00e5 gi det ungdommelig design. &laquo;Min&raquo; bil har skinninteri\u00f8r. Jeg fant en helt grei sittestilling. Men hendlene for seteinnstillingen er imidlertid myke og pinglete. Jeg fors\u00f8kte \u00e5 senke setet med en hendel jeg trodde var laget for det, men v\u00e5get ikke \u00e5 bruke den i frykt for at den skulle ryke. Synd at plastdingser til et par tiere \u00f8delegger totalinntrykket.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nAporop\u00f3s negative sider ved bilen, s\u00e5 vil jeg ogs\u00e5 trekke frem at kj\u00f8relyset ikke tenner baklysene. Jeg skj\u00f8nte det, da bilen bak ga et blink da vi kom inn i tunnelen p\u00e5 E134. Jeg tok av ved kirken og fulgte den lille veien ned til Borre Familiecamping og b\u00e5thavna. Det er nesten s\u00e5 man s\u00e5 for seg vikingskipene p\u00e5 stranden. I stedet skimtet jeg skip i opplag sydover mot Slagen. En perfekt kulisse for gamle biler i alle aldre. Det var god stemning og mange bes\u00f8kende. Ikke bare gamle gubber som meg selv, men familier med barn. I en tid med mye negativ omtale av biler, synes jeg det er viktig \u00e5 vise biler fra en annen vinkel, &#8211; som noe vakkert og en smule nostalgisk.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg synes Kia Soul er en av de t\u00f8ffeste elbilene i dag. Det er kanskje fordi den er basert p\u00e5 en alminnelig kul hverdagsbil, &#8211; ikke en spesialdesignet bil for lav luftmotstand og fancy elbil-effekter. Jeg liker det funksjonelle, firkantede utseende. Selv om man sitter h\u00f8yt, og kup\u00e9en virker luftig, er det imidlertid ingen store plassfordeler i bilen. Baksetepassasjerer har god benplass og egner seg godt til barn p\u00e5 grunn av fint utsyn. Bagasjerommet er 281 liter &#8211; som VW Polo. Jeg liker designet p\u00e5 bilen, b\u00e5de innvendig og utvendig. Det er ingen utpreget &laquo;keen driver&#8217;s car&raquo;, ei heller premiumklasse, &#8211; men gir likevel en h\u00f8y feelgood faktor i daglig bruk, s\u00e5vel som hyggeturer. Du sitter behagelig h\u00f8yt. Plassmessig tilh\u00f8rer den B-klassen som tilsvarer Volkswagen Polo. Den er veldig lettkj\u00f8rt og krever ingen tilvenning. Ratt, gir og brytere er der du forventer det.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nOg rekkevidden?<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDen praktiske rekkevidde er helt p\u00e5 h\u00f8yde med nye Nissan Leaf 30 kwh. De f\u00f8rste milene forsvant dessverre alt for fort. Men etter at jeg kom inn p\u00e5 gamle S\u00f8rlandske gikk det mye bedre. Jeg ladet ikke underveis, og hadde fremdeles noen f\u00e5 mil igjen da jeg kom hjem.
