Fra 2005 til 2018 ble det laget mange forskjellige varianter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Samarbeidet med Ford var sannsynligvis nyttig for Aston Martin fordi de fikk tilgang til Fords ressurser, blant annet innen motorteknologi. Motorene i Aston Martin V12 Vantage ble utviklet i tiden sammen med Ford. V8-motorene, derimot, var basert p\u00e5 Jaguar&#8217;s AJ-V8 design. Dette var motorer Jaguar utviklet f\u00f8r de ble kj\u00f8pt opp av Ford. Tidlige motorer hadde et problem p\u00e5 grunn av Nikasil-behandlede sylinder-f\u00f4ringer i aluminiumsblokken, men d\u00e9t var f\u00f8r 2005 og ikke noe Aston Martin hadde. I 2009 kom Aston Martin med en oppgradering av V8-motoren med \u00f8kning av volumet fra 4,3 til 4,7 liter. Det ble ogs\u00e5 gjort flere endringer av teknisk art, samt et forbedret interi\u00f8r med infotainment-system.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTidlige modeller kunne leveres med <em>Sportshift<\/em> semi-automatisk gearkasse som ga mulighet til \u00e5 gire sekvensielt med paddles p\u00e5 rattet. Dette systemet har gitt eiere en del problemer ofte knyttet til programvarefeil og problemer med clutch-mekanismen og tilh\u00f8rende elektronikk. Problemene b\u00f8r v\u00e6re fikset ved n\u00f8ye oppf\u00f8lgning av service-programmet. Senere <em>Touchtronic<\/em> kasser (ZF) er ikke beheftet med noen s\u00e5nne problemer.
