Morris Minor ble produsert fra 1948 til 1972 med over 1.6 millioner biler.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">En folkebil<\/h3>\n<p>Morris Minor er en engelsk folkebil &#8211; en masseprodusert, enkel bil til rimelige priser for vanlige familier i etterkrigstiden. Modellen var basert p\u00e5 de samme kriteriene som Volkswagen, men konkurrerte egentlig bare med Volkswagen p\u00e5 eksportmarkedene. MM-serien kjennetegnes ved at frontlysene var plassert nede p\u00e5 hver side av grillen. Motorene var sideventilerte p\u00e5 918 cc &#8211; utviklet f\u00f8r krigen. Fra 1952 kom Serie II som fikk frontlysene plassert h\u00f8yere opp p\u00e5 framskjermene. Da fikk bilene en nyutviklet OHV motor p\u00e5 803 cc. Dette var begynnelsen p\u00e5 en motorserie som skulle f\u00f8lge BMC i mange \u00e5r i forskjellige utf\u00f8relser under betegnelsen <em>A-serien<\/em>. Visuelle trekk p\u00e5 Serie II bilene er delt frontrute og liten bakrute. Den lakkerte grillen ble i 1954 erstattet med liggende riller. Serie III kom i 1956 med en ny variant av A-serie motoren p\u00e5 948 cc &#8211; som ga modellbetegnelsen Morris Minor 1000. Visuelle endringer omfattet blant annet en hel frontrute og krummet bakrute. Det ble videre gjort l\u00f8pende endringer av \u00e5rsmodellene mellom 1956 og 1971, basert p\u00e5 komponenter fra produksjonen av andre BMC-modeller. Den ble kalt <em>Morris Mini-Minor<\/em> fra lanseringen i 1959 til \u00e5rsmodell 1967. B\u00e5de <em>Mini-Minor<\/em> og <em>Minor<\/em> ble produsert parallelt, uten \u00e5 v\u00e6re direkte konkurrenter.
