Kj\u00f8reopplevelsen beskrives av mange som r\u00e5.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Et investeringsobjekt?<\/h3>\n<p>Opprinnelig var det planlagt \u00e5 bare produsere 400 eksemplarer av Ferrari F40, skj\u00f8nt fra 1987 til 1992 ble det produsert 1315 biler. Prisen var opprinnelig satt til $400,000 &#8211; som var regnet som en meget h\u00f8y pris. En rask oversikt over Ferrari F40 til salgs i dag viser at prisen ligger omtrent p\u00e5 10 ganger s\u00e5 mye. F\u00e5 biler har v\u00e6rt s\u00e5 gode investeringsobjekter &#8211; og mange biler har derfor ikke blitt s\u00e6rlig mye kj\u00f8rt.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Twin-turbo V8<\/h3>\n<p>Navnet F40 er gitt for \u00e5 markere et jubileum for Ferrari, og forteller ingen ting om motorst\u00f8rrelse som tidligere modeller har gjort. Motoren stammer fra Ferrari 288 GTO-prosjektet. Det er 2,9 liter twin-turbo V8  med 478 hk som er en r\u00e5 kraftkilde til en bil med egenvekt p\u00e5 1254 kg uten f\u00f8rer. Den lave vekten er mulig p\u00e5 grunn av utstrakt bruk av Kevlar, karbonfiber og aluminium.
