Var Mercury Park Lane en motsvarighet til Lincoln Continental i samme periode &#8211; fra \u00e5rsmodell 1958 til og med 1960? Park Lane ble utviklet p\u00e5 en tid da amerikanske biler var p\u00e5 topp med tanke p\u00e5 chrome og utsvevende karosserier. Mercury Park Lane Cruiser Hardtop med 2- eller 4 d\u00f8rer Park Lane Hardtop Cruiser hadde alt man kunne \u00f8nske i denne perioden. 1958-modellen hadde trykknapp girvelger, som ble erstattet med normal ratt-girvelger fra 1959. B\u00e5de 1959-modellen og 1960-modellen fikk endret front. Den tilh\u00f8rte en motorserie som gikk under betegnelsen Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln (MEL). 430-motoren ble lansert sammen med Mercury Park Lane og Lincoln Continental for modell\u00e5ret 1958.
