De st\u00f8rste endringene finner man innvendig i kupeen og noen under bilen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Introduksjonen av Escort mk4 vakte ingen stor oppmerksomhet. Produksjonen av mk4 startet i begynnelsen av 1986 til midten av 1990 da produksjonen av nye mk5 startet. Produksjonen av Escort RS Turbo, XR3i og Cabriolet fortsatte cirka ett \u00e5r til.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nVariantene var de samme som tidligere. 3- og 5-d\u00f8rs combikup\u00e9, 4-d\u00f8rs sedan (Orion), 3- og 5-d\u00f8rs stasjonsvogn, 2-d\u00f8rs cabriolet &#8211; og en van som vel ikke ble tatt inn til Norge.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMotorene i Escort og Orion til Norge, var en ny 1.4 liters motor p\u00e5 75 hk og 1.6 liter p\u00e5 90 hk. I dag er Golf, og is\u00e6r Golf GTI, kultbiler som mange holder som hobbybiler. Om jeg ikke husker feil, s\u00e5 l\u00e5 Volkswagen og Ford p\u00e5 salgstoppen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDet er interessant \u00e5 se at det ligger fine bestemor-kj\u00f8rte Escort-biler til salgs for sm\u00e5penger i forhold til hva tilsvarende Golf ville blitt solgt for. Ford Escort var ikke mitt f\u00f8rstevalg p\u00e5 den tiden fordi jeg oppfattet den som en utdatert modell. Jeg forsto raskt at det var gjort viktige justeringer og forbedringer av understellet i forhold til forgjengeren. Jeg opplevde bilen som velkj\u00f8rende, st\u00f8ysvak og ganske sprek i vanlig trafikk. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Om bildene<\/h3>\n<p>Bilen i hovedbildet er en 1988 Ford Escort 1.4 LX som ikke bare s\u00e5 ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re i daglig bruk, men var meget fin &#8211; som en helt ny bil. Den ble fotografert i Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire i 2023. Den hvite cabrioleten er fotografert ved Stor\u00f8ya Grendesenter, Fornebu.
